If pharma and larger government are the main business beneficiaries from Covid, doesn't it make sense that they would change messaging to make all politicians federal state and local look like dumbasses?

Sure, Trump will likely secure a 2nd term come November. He's bamboozled enough folks, particularly in the midwest, that he should garner enough votes to do that.

Regardless, the sad fact remains he is the worst President this country has ever had, and it's not even close.

One of the things I enjoy on this board is reading the sentiment that the anti-Trump movement is fueled by TDS-ridden far-left liberals, Democrats, Antifa, BLM, and other communists and socialists who want to destroy the country.

In reality, an increasing number of conservatives have stepped forward to raise their voices and speak their minds. That's where the heart and soul of the anti-Trump movement currently resides. Yet you scoff at them, call them deep-state operatives, part of the DC swamp, the deranged, never-Trump Republicans.

Few are better at capturing the anger, contempt and utter disgust with Trump than Republican strategist Steve Schmidt.

His rant about Trump's propaganda event at Bedminster this weekend is a thing of beauty. Since the Trump base has veered so far right I doubt any of you care what conservatives think anymore, but I'll share it regardless.

You see, liberals think they will change minds because they are republicans. So clearly other republicans will realize that Trump is going against the Rep party and they have been tricked by Trump and they better get back to voting for good establishment Rep candidates.

Here's why this is stupid. Because Trump won with support from many registered Dems, like me, and mostley he won due to a bunch of people who HATE establishment Republicans. I mean ******* hate them. That's why Jeb Bush went down in flames so early in his campaign despite him having so much money behind him.

People got sick of voting for RINOs who talk a good game in the campaign then get elected and do nothing. Worse than nothing. They would routinely "compromise" with liberals and kept giving ground. We were sick of it and wanted somebody to actually do something. What a crazy concept.

Trump has his voters VERY satisfied on that score. Whatever he says on Twitter, nobody gives a ****. We have watched a guy actually trying to accomplish his goals while the media and establishment republicans alike try to throw obstacles in his way.

Now to that supposed great rant. What a bunch of whiny bullshit. He is essentially blaming covid on Trump. No sane person blames Trump. Anybody who blames Trump for this, already hates him and was voting against him.

The economy shattered? Are you serious? No sane person blames this economy on Trump. The economy didn't fail. It was turned off. And Trump is trying is hardest to turn it back on while Dem governors do their best to kill it for political gains.

its not just 3m.... Finding any N95s or basic isolation gowns is ridiculous. Trump could have forced other factories to produce PPE or forced them to not sell to China for example. I spent hours Friday trying to find PPE for my facility. I was only able to score 80 N95s and no gowns. From Medline we are allowed 100 gowns per month we have over 100 employees tell me how that is acceptable? We are currently OK PPE wise, but if we can't find stuff consistently eventuality we will run out.

This is a very ignorant and disappointing statement. If people listened to Trump COVID was nothing and was going to magically disappear so why would we need supplies?? Luckily my company didnt buy that BS and was able to jump the gun and get stuff early. No one could foresee what this has become. To answer your question when there is a national crisis it sure is the presidents job to do anything is his power to help solve it. He could have done multiple things to help w/ the PPE situation. Have companies produce and distribute the stuff people need. It is not that hard of a concept. Then you have other companies price gouging consumers. We normally pay $15 for 50 gowns. Now you are lucky to get them for $50 and even at that they are not in stock. Our gloves have almost doubled in price. All these are things the govt could mitigate if it choose to. The whole country was caught with its pants down, but Trump just kinda threw his hands up and said "meh you guys figure it out."

Maybe, but I wouldn't be too sure about that. The Democratic party is the party of freebies, which appeals to the lazy of any race. You have to look no further than the first virus stimulus package that was paying people more to stay home than go back to work, so they stayed home.

Blacks, whites, browns, yellows, that want to be responsible for themselves see through this, and those that choose to be victims will always lean left.
