William Jackson lll to Steelers

Found it. Jackson has only played in 4 games this year due to back issues.

$14 per year? Uh...doesn't look like a good deal at the moment.

I do find it ironic that the FO has thrown so much on the defense side of the ball and they are pretty bad, so they add another pricey piece today. On the flip side, the O is just as bad, if not worse and they trade one of the few "decent" players on O. I'm good the CC return, but the O did get worse and will not help Kenny, at all. Just funny to me.

We didn’t give up 5th and 6th round picks.

No, I mean previously for Witherspoon (5th) and Malik Reed (6th).

They dealt the 7th due to problems Witherspoon is having, so have now traded away their 2023 5th and 7th round picks trying to get a decent CB.

Yup! And, as Cowher said, they may want to sit KP so he doesn't lose his confidence or get killed out there. They were asking a ton from a rookie and now are asking even more. He has no OL, no running game and just lost one of his top 2 WR's.

Okay, I see your point. Here is my take:

This team blows. Getting early-round picks is a no-brainer.

I'm fine with the return, but they are handcuffing KP and the O. I know they blow all around. Painting the rusty garbage can is not making it attractive. If they are going to tear it down, do it right.

I think that doing it right includes trading players for 2nd round picks. Also, forcing Tomlin and company to draft elite offensive and defensive linemen and a #1 CB. Stop ******* around with WR's, RB's, TE's and LB'ers.

What in the ****? They are ******* cap for a cb with a bad back… Kahn is a total moron… they are 2-6… adding big pieces was utterly stupid…

Washington is smarter than us… Cap space is more valuable than WJ3’s play… we are utterly ruining the current cap … this is literally Browns level nonsense now… there is a reason the Deadskins are giving the guy away like that… big cap, bad back… over 30…

It worked with Minkah a few years back. Maybe they think upgraded secondary and return of TJ gives the O some help? Convoluted, but so is this season.....

Yes… he was really good until he started with the back issues… signed a 3 year 42 mil contract two seasons ago then got benched this year…
maybe it is a version of the Joe Haden plan....he was leaving town anyways, so the Steelers get him now to negotiate a friendlier deal going forward.

I'm afraid this'll turn out more like that other Browns CB we traded for in 2016... Justin Gilbert. We gave them a 6th round pick in exchange.

Gettin' that deja vu feeling...

Washington was giving him away and the Steelers somehow managed to F this one up too.

Wow

hope this trade includes a contract restructure, like Reed did.
Yes… he is due half of his five million dollar deal this year… so that eats 2.5 mill off of our free space… then next year he is due 9 million in salary and another 3 in a roster bonus

that's a 9M dead cap right from the start

It just irks me that they are dumping another 15 million into the D… that is not where our problem is … it ain’t even close… we literally traded offense to get more D in an era when D is virtually worthless… we are just a dated stupid franchise run by idealistic guys who don’t live in reality

Anybody know what kind of Comp pick we get for JuJu...if at all?

Why on earth would they take a contract tgat the Commanders wanted to dump.in a release. Who is running this show.
