And not just knocked out but floored. We've given up over 40 in our last 4 losses. Over 40. 4 in a row.Unthinkable? Did you travel back in time about eight years? Getting knocked out in the first round is the status quo.

Also makes it easy for the D to tee offHis thinking seems to be anything that limits the number of possessions by the other team. Has always also driven me nuts watching them usually snap the ball with one or two seconds on the play clock on offense. It's a tired template.
Ok. Let's have a football discussion. What would you do with the limits on offense over the last number of years? I can understand the approach, with the QBs they have had and lack of a 2, an explosive running back and a young OL. This is a case in which I can understand what they are doing to some degree. They should throw more on first down. Warren should be starting. They should go over the middle more. They have tried tempo...it's worked ok at times. They need to limit the possessions of the other team. We have seen the last two weeks what happens if they don't. The defense has been designed that way since 1992. Maybe a way to a better offense is to change the defense so that doesn't have to be such a concern. His thinking seems to be anything that limits the number of possessions by the other team. Can't they at least exploit the middle of the field more instead of living in their fears that passes will be tipped or Ints? Other teams seem to do it to us. Essentially they're playing safe and it may get them 9-10 wins but they have nothing to lose opening it up some at least at the end of halves here and there. I can see why he does it but it's just so unimaginative and it has never been easier to use the MOF than today with the flag rules.Ok. Let's have a football discussion. You're asking Mediocre Mike to increase his risks by 2%! The D thinks 10 play drives of 95+ yards for TD’s is “limiting possessions”. For some reason, getting yourself off the field in less than 4 plays doesn’t cross their minds.Ok. Already made that bet, wasn’t a huge amount, so if I don’t win it isn’t something to get upset over. I do like my odds of winning though. Also have another that the D gives up 36 points in the 1st (ok, their only) playoff game, I got 30:1 on that one.We are going to lose our final two regular season games and then lose our first round playoff game. Book it and make some money. This team is not good.
Your bet was the D gives up 36? Or the Steelers team gives up 36? Don't forget, when the Steelers give up 30+ points there's usually one or two touchdowns resulting from pick 6's or fumble returns.Already made that bet, wasn’t a huge amount, so if I don’t win it isn’t something to get upset over. Qb up in the airWR... QB... DT.. etc...
He's maybe worse; he's a fraud.Tomlin is a scumbag IMO. You'd have to be to keep seeing the stands packed as you dissappoint them over and over and over. DIRTBAG.
Mike Conlin.He's maybe worse; he's a fraud.
He has conned this team's ownership and half the fans that he's a good coach. True.Tomlin is a scumbag IMO. You'd have to be to keep seeing the stands packed as you dissapoint the over and over and over. DIRTBAG.
Mike Conlin.
Good point, I rechecked, it is just that the Steelers opponent scores 36.Your bet was the D gives up 36? Or the Steelers team gives up 36? Don't forget, when the Steelers give up 30+ points there's usually one or two touchdowns resulting from pick 6's or fumble returns.
That is a personal attack of the man. No way you can make that stick. As much as I dislike him as a HC of the Steelers, I have always said that he seems to be a great individual. Kind of like Jimmy Carter, a very good human being, not right for the job he was hired to fill. (BTW - that has nothing to do with politics)Tomlin is a scumbag IMO. Not really political either, but I would argue that Jimmah did scumbag is as scumbag does when he took the opportunity to attack GWB at Coretta Scott King's funeral when both were in attendance. That was cheap heat and low rent. That is a personal attack of the man. No way you can make that stick.
