WOW, KENNY, WHAT AN INSPIRATION!

Philly has an elite offensive line though.
Was Barkley this spectacular in NY?

If he was he may still be there.
I can’t imagine Barkley being as successful behind the same line Najee has been dealt.
Barkley has been night and day better than Harris his entire career. Is he better on Philly, of course, just like Henry on the Ravens is better than he has ever been. But to compare these guys at any point in their career, to Najee is beyond ridiculous.

In just ONE SEASON, Kenny Pickett has miraculously found himself in the Super Bowl, something that clearly never could have happened under the offensive genius of Mike Tomlin. Who could have guessed that getting away from elite game plans like "hope the defense saves us" would lead to success? Totally shocking.
Yeah, after Kenny's performance this year I think they might erect a statue of Kenny ourside the Linc.

Luck of the draw. KFP got lucky in where he went. How integral has his play for the season been for Eagles to actually make the SB.?

There are a lot of players who get SB rings yet have very little contribution to obtaining it.

It’s no fault of the KFP, so good for him.

The real SB will be in the Arm Wrestling “OVER the TOP” tournament that Kenny has entered. They go by hand size as which category you will be in. Most of Kenny’s opponents are in the junior school division (one other guy is deformed hands so he is in this division).

Kenny could become a 2-time champion this month.

Salute the nation

Yep. You have now compared Harris to probably the top two RBs in the game today. Who play in better Offenses. Have a better scheme. Have better play calling. Have better OLs. Better coaches. Better ownership.

I think both Henry and Barkley showed their explosive capability with both of the teams they played on.

Would you say Naj has shown to be explosive in the Burgh?

I think we saw more moments / components of hard running than explosion. If I am comparing them…

I am saying you are referring to probably the best 2 RB's in the league now playing in elite offenses on teams run by organizations that are now superior to ours. Harris is not on their level. Probably never will be.....most of the RBs under them won't ever be either.

Also....do you think Harris' stats our better if he plays in Philly or Baltimore? I do. Probably has easily a better YPC ...more yards and more TDs. Now place either of those RBs on this team. Do their stats get better or worse?

Good question I think both of them would do well here. Because it isn’t like Warren and Naj have sucked here. Even Patterson had a few brief attractive moments.

Do their stats get worse I would think worse but ultimately I have no idea. Would love to find out!

😅

Running into stacked boxes and getting hit in the backfield often would drastically affect their overall performance. Both of them ran thru our D without so much of a finger touching them until they hit our secondary sadly. And we both know our D is/was ELITE.

We can’t say the O will look exactly the same this season. We can bet they will address the WR position, you will also have year two within Smith’s scheme which might help.

I think the QB position is the most worrisome to make your concerns stay afloat. Not sold they will do what is necessary at the QB position. Besides coaching that is my biggest concern. As I think they will address WR, RB, and Dline.

I think they will obviously address QB I just am not sold they will improve in that area. They still have a desire to bring back mediocre QBs.

Ahh....so we are now thinking we will grow as an offense from year 1 of Smith's tenure here to year 2. Man how many times have we all been sucked into that thinking process. 🤔

Hey though. This might actually be that year that we actually do grow as an offense. I won't be holding my breathe on that notion. I will have my fingers crossed though. 🤞

I threw the idea out not that I am buying stock.

I just think more of Smith as an OC than Tomlin as a HC. Ultimately one will probably cancel the other out.

😉

It's the stuff only the vastly ignorant would do. Period.

Let me guess, Fraudlin is all of a sudden gonna grow brains and stop being so simplistic? We are going to stop play calling: 1st down rush, 2nd down rush, 3rd down throw incomplete or too short of a pass, 4th Punt? Something like that? Over and over. No seam passes to TE ever? How about more "toss" runs that have zero chance of working? That's all we got.

Worse by a Fraudlin mile.

I think they need more jet sweeps

It's funny how the past, we'll say 10 years (might even be more honestly), there was one play type in the offense that they would run far too often and would work even less. We had the bunch formation for awhile (now everyone does it, but they use it the right way), we had WR bubble screens, the Jet Sweep (I remember them trying to run that from the 1yrd line ugh), and now the famous toss outside. Good times

No arguing any of these points.
Difference is
Before Barkley was in Philly and Derrick Henry was in Baltimore, Philly and Baltimore did not have half that production with lesser RB's.
How good were the backups on those teams this year compared to Barkley and Henry?
Hint, not even close to the same production.
Unlike Harris who has been outplayed by his backup 3 straight seasons, the past season he was injured and Harris still couldn't match the efficiency in the run or pass game.

You've got to come up with something better for Tomlin in the moniker department, my man.

You see, "Fraudlin" has already been in widespread use amongst James Franklin detractors for quite a while. He's the head coach at Penn State. That particular adaptation makes some sense, given that there are only two letters changed out. Replacing "Tom" with "Fraud" is a bit of a stretch, in my opinion.

Come on. Warren is not the featured RB. Harris probably ran into more stacked boxes than any other RB. Never missed any games. Played when banged up. Never fumbled. Warren when banged up was useless. Rarely ran into stacked boxes. Was an awesome change of pace RB. Unless we change our Offensive philosophy and play calling I doubt Warren will be able to carry the workload of a starter for an entire season. We will see I guess next year.

The quarterbacks were effectively the number two running backs for both Baltimore and Philadelphia, so the backup running backs hardly saw the field. Justice Hill for Baltimore did average 4.9 YPC on 228 yards
