WOW, KENNY, WHAT AN INSPIRATION!

Come on. Warren is not the featured RB. Harris probably ran into more stacked boxes than any other RB. Never missed any games. Played when banged up. Never fumbled. Warren when banged up was useless. Rarely ran into stacked boxes. Was an awesome change of pace RB. Unless we change our Offensive philosophy and play calling I doubt Warren will be able to carry the workload of a starter for an entire season. We will see I guess next year.
A banged up Warren still finished with a higher ypc. :)
Harris ran into stacked boxes and his own lineman, guy has no burst or vision. even in the open field there isn't a guy in the league that looks more off balance and trips over his own feet in the open field untouched on a semi consistent basis.
Steelers will have zero trouble upgrading at RB through the draft.
3.9 is never the goal, never was, never will be.
Thats why he's gone

The quarterbacks were effectively the number two running backs for both Baltimore and Philadelphia, so the backup running backs hardly saw the field. Justice Hill for Baltimore did average 4.9 YPC on 228 yards
4.9 is a full yard per carry less than henry. QB have zero to do with the conversation but they both had better stats than Najee, so thanks for bringing it up

at one time there wasn't an issue with this number.

But the scheme definitely does. Now it is being reported openly our SB winning Vet QB was not given permission to audible. So when he walks to the LOS and saw 10 players in the box on a run play......he had to run the play as a run. Scheme itself hurt Harris' numbers across the board.....and our offense. That said. I don't think anyone is saying Harris is as good as Henry and Barkley. They are probably the best 2 RBs today arguably.

Yeah as long as they don't get to many yards. Gotta own time of possession. Long sustained drives is key
That would be a good stat if someone could find it the TOP for Wilson and Fields when they had the football.

Because if you can control the clock you can keep your O on the field and theirs less time on it…

32.3 min per game with Fields, 29.9 with Wilson. The last five games the TOP was 26 per game.

3rd % with Fields - 39% with Wilson 39%
4th % with Fields - 50% with Wilson 26%

But both averaged 18 first downs per game, Fields was just more consistently around that number, a high of 23, low of 16. While Wilson had a high of 28 and a low of 10.

The offense, while bad for both QB's, was more consistent with Fields, and more boom or bust with Wilson.

See that is a hidden stat that is relevant. Good research 👏

Here is another one, that plays directly into Wilson's biggest flaws. Fields highest sack total was 4, it was also his best game as a passer against the Colts. Wilson's high was 7, he also had a game with 6, and two games with 5 each.

If you want to see some really interesting stats, go to ESPN, and bring up Fields and Wilson's splits, scroll down to their quarters and downs splits. Fields splits in the first and second quarter, and on second down are eye popping!!

Definitely good find!

I’ve been saying for awhile that the long TOP drives of Fields fits the Tomlin game plan of kill
The clock/minimizing opponent’s possessions…also no secret why the D looked better, they never let up points when they are on the sideline and are a much more effective bunch when well rested.

Our scheme defensively doesn't help. We bend and bend.....and keep bending simply not to break and wallah.....the opponents offense just went the length of the field in 8 min and score a TD to boot. This keep our offense of the field and doesn't allow them more opportunities to score points. 🤔

Tired of the narritive our Offense hurts our Defense. Bullshit. We pay our D top $$$$$. They have not live up to their end of the bargain for years now.

They both coordinate in adding to the suck
💩 schemes on both sides of the ball.

But with the asset allocation to the defense more should definitely be expected from them. They shouldn’t require an offense to kill clock all game and limit their exposure…but they sadly do

If memory serves they allowed 12 or 14 straight runs on a drive this year in a fourth quarter…that level of suck is nearly unrivaled.

Good information, thanks for doing the digging !

I highly doubt Wilson is coming back. I'm thinking they best get busy and have Fields ready to sign once FAgency STARTS.

If Fields isn't signing they need to be prepared to go after ___________ (insert name) right away before there is no one available and we have to draft this year's starter.

DIC we need to Bring back Rudy!!!

Proven record of being able to win down the stretch ✔️
Affordable ✔️
Kinda fits the AS offense ✔️
He’s quite run/run/pass/punt capable ✔️

Anything more would be trying too hard

Not that I am arguing with anything here….good stats. But…..it’s hard for me to compare those stats. Justin played earlier in the schedule, while Russ played against the meat of the schedule against teams who were playing for something. We will never know if Justin would have played better….or worse.

Russ also had the benefit of having 6 weeks for the rest of the offense to acclimate to the new OC and system

Then Russ had the benefit of opening with a run of absolute tomato cans, the true bottom feeders of the league…a who’s who of teams drafting in the top 10.

Then Russ showed what he had vs actual legitimate competition.

Both QBs had very different journeys

One was an improving young player
The other an old man that petered out and started looking very scared

Russ ain’t taking any team anywhere anymore
JF…jury is still out as whether he ever will

Whats Rudy’s punt average ? Might not madder as his capability of leading during “FOG” games would outweigh any wins through the punting game. Ireland could be a fog game.

Hell, once I read the countless pages and volume of the “Rudy” post(s), I now realize how big of a mistake it was to actually let him go. When he was on the team we could count on TJ WATT getting DPOY. It’s our mistake of letting Rudy go as once he was gone,……. The defense continued to falter.

Fiji, with our great minds and coach ability PLUS our Peyote tolerance, we could leads this team to the promise land………..

I want Hurts and Mahomes to both get injured so we can see Pickett vs Wentz in the worse SB of all time lol

I know it is humor so don’t get what I say twisted as if I am throwing anger your direction . I am not.

But I never ever wish injury on anyone jokingly or not.

As far as the game I will be entertaining people I hope I am distracted a lot so I see little.

😅

Admittedly I have wished injury on several players…Burfect, Garrett, Ray Ray and a few others come to mind

Sorry, regardless of the reasoning, I could never wish for injury on any player…….. Steelers or not.

If they get injured during real game situation, that’s the breaks of the game. To hope for it would be another level.
