what the **** Russ

2 TOs in the first 4 minutes for the Chiefs - lets see how that works out for them

Chiefs made that look easy - but miss the extra point

and another quick drive - nice hit on the punt returner but the loose balls keep bouncing the other teams way

DJ gets burnt - looking like a long ******* day

and a hold takes six off the board.....followed by a ******* pick in the end zone

where is that bottle of Brimstone...

hey a punt by the chiefs

take the pitch play out of the play book

nice drive - good mix of run and pass...Russ runs it in for 6

and a miracle - TJ got a holding call

Steelers have the talent to take this game...they gotta stop the turnovers and get some hits on Mahommes

Warren has been a lot better in the 1st half than Najee

13-7 at the half looked like it was going to be way worse...Steelers offense left some points on the field - have to be more consistent in the 2nd half

OL has got to get better....any block at all on that screen and it might have scored

This team is worse than I thought. I no longer have the confidence they can right the ship. I don’t think the coaching staff is capable of changing things up. Same penalties. Same horrible play calls. Same lack of adjustments.

If I was Pickens I’d be looking for a way out and find a team that can win.

Tomlin is lost. Out-coached again.

This team spent a lot of money on defense and they are just bad!

I don’t think they beat Cincy and I’m going to put money on whoever they play in the playoffs. I just don’t have any confidence this team can with with Tomlin in charge.

I believe in the coming weeks we will start to hear players talking truths

There is nothing else remotely close.

They same **** over and over and over and over again.

It is time for an offensive minded HC.

Otherwise absolutely nothing will change.

It has been proven and shown its exhausting repetitive tendencies.
 
The blocking getting abused by the Chiefs like it did without Chris Jones was embarrassing.

Blown coverages everywhere on defense.

Pretty much the same issues for years now, with the subpar OL and DB play. It's almost like the people in charge are not capable of fixing problems.

We knew this three game stretch against the Eagles, Ravens and Chiefs would show what this Steelers team was capable of, and it apparently isn't much.

It's difficult to really care about the playoffs, given the last couple weeks have given us a peek into what we can expect in January.
 
Out coached,out matched. Plain and simple! What’s been created here is a team without identity and it’s frankly a hodgepodge of nothingness.
What did Rooney say when he extended Tomlin. He still can relate to his players. And?
 
Tomlin needs to go. But the DC needs to be packing his bags 1st or at least with.

Not giving up on the season, might win a few playoff games.
 
What can you say. While many here have disagreed…..we are far behind the better teams. While Russ has had some good games he hasn’t done well against good defenses. I mean it’s not just him,but he’s the QB. I’ve seen his whole career because they’ve always played Seattle games in my area. When they signed him I said the Steeler Nation Faithful will be frustrated by the amount of sacks he takes. And the batted down passes. Especially during critical times. Nothing has changed.
Many said look at all the TD’s he threw last season. That’s why we’ve brought him in. Our RedZone offense is pitiful. He has done absolutely nothing to improve it. We are ranked 31st. All frigging season long.
If they signed him to a big time 3 year type contract, I just don’t know what to say.
The search for our QB continues.

I’m not mad at the Steelers or Tomlin. They are who and what they are. I’m more angry at myself for allowing myself to get sucked in. Again.

It’s disappointing to see the same stuff year after year with little change. This team just seems to save their worst for when it matters most. It’s strange. But whatever. I’m not on the team and I’m not making millions so back to the reality of real life.
 
This was a disgusting watch. With family, who made it a point to watch because they all knew that I (right in the motor city no less) was a fan of the black n’ gold. I’ve never been so embarrassed to be a fan. Yeah, this stretch was going to be tough, but the Steelers didn’t even look like they belonged on the same field in any of the three contests (PHI, BAL, KC). It’s week 17, and we’re still hearing about ******* “communication issues” on defense? Are you ******* kidding me? On offense, it’s clear that Russ is snake-bit. I dunno what did it over this stretch, but he hasn’t been the same over this three game stretch. And Art Smith is a total ******* Rod. Last week, late in the game, in four down territory, we run a WR screen on 3rd & 9 tbag netted 1 yard. This week, third &4, with momentum building behind us, we run a slow outside zone with 47 year old Cordarrele Patterson that gains one. I’m at a ******* loss. Nobody on this team looks to have any heart, whatsoever (sans Ironhead, and I don’t blame him if he finally called his own number and said “take me out” late in the game). Fields needs to play next week, and should get the nod for the postseason.

Good points. I was sold on Russ earlier in the year, but he hasn't proven much over the last month. I'm not sold on bringing him back now. And yes, we are not in the league with the better teams. That much is obvious.

This is the Russ I saw. Even playing well, the same guy. Takes bad sacks, it's a dump off or moon ball. Too many balls batted down because of his height. I hope they don't extend him. I would have rather ridden Fields to see what they have in him.

Building a championship team is tough. Its trial and error. Looks like we faiuled again.

Tomlin is the DC. Austin's defense looks identical to Butler's and the last couple years of DL. I remember posters being shouted down for defending Lebeau and told the game passed him by when they were trotting this same tired **** out at the end of his tenure.

At this point, i think Fields is the better option too. But remember, we give up some production with him, He was 4-2, but it was against the same caliber teams that Russ went 6-2 with. Would Fields have fared any better in these last few weeks?
 
Here us my opinion of the difference BTW when they looked good and what's happening. When they looked good they were moving the ball steady with short simple plays that made sense. Now it's load it up long developing nonsense and no one is open. If you watched KC today there was nothing great but it was steady 4 yards 6 yards 8 yards 12 yards.
