26 million per year makes him 4th in the league in his position. Against much bigger names. He definitely got paid.
Ha.....I read it wrong. I thought it was 4 year for a total of $26 mill. Yep....he got paid.

Why? he played well this year. They drafted him in the fourth got a lot out of him for the pick and from what I see we will net a 3rd back for him next year. I don't see the issue.
What the **** do you watch. He gave up 12 sacks last year. You know what a 12 sacks edge FA would be cashing today.

still, he was a late 4th and got paid. He must have some value, market just told us so.
The market might know what I know. The Steelers oline coach is ***. He has a lot of starts and they are hoping for upside. But saying he played well last year is ludicrous. He gave up 12 sacks. If any edge other then Watt had 12 sacks you'd be creaming your jeans. 12 is horrible.

If he turns into a top 15 LT in the game after he left here........we thought so much of him that we spent our last 2 number ones on tackles. That how much we thought of him. Speaks volumes on our scouting and coaching.

it doesn't matter to me really, he was a serviceable spot starter that somehow kept the starting role. I wanted him gone, I'm happy he got paid.

I dint disagree that is a fair analysis of his play. Serviceable spot starter. If he becomes a top 15 Tackle that is on the coaches. His PFF grade for what its worth is horrific.

Wilson to the dolphins...Zach Wilson that is. One year 6m that could be 10m.

Chargers showing strong interest in Najee. Nothing yet but could be coming.

Hargrave would like to get Adams from Philly he can push through gaps and wreck havoc. if you get a Grant/Williams/Collins or Lott, you with a front 7 of, say
DE Watt NG Heyward DT{(adams/Williams/Collins/Lott} De Hignsmith/Herbig in the middle you have a brick wall that allow your edge rushers to loop bull rush as that brick wall will push the pile, a Harbaugh concept Ravens physical interior DL that allows so much room for LB and DE to find gaps.

That’s not much of a deal one year. I was never a Najee fan and absolutely hated the pick where they drafted him.
Both number one picks gone. Najee in 21 and Kenny in 22.
Don’t forget Bushy who we moved up from 20 to 10 to draft. All gone!
This franchise is so very much broken now. From the inept, incompetent owner to the unqualified GM who is nothing more than a numbers man to a very overrated and mediocre head coach.
An assistant coaching staff that may be one of the smallest and worst assembled in the league.
What could possibly go wrong!

All of those players were drafted by Colbert. if anything, Khan has had two of the best overall drafts in years. The past two free agency periods have also been very active compared to what we see historically.

I realize that but I’m no fan of the so called Kahn Artist. He was in charge when Broderick Jones was drafted who may still work out but we’ll see. Fantanu was injured so we will have to wait on him.
He was in charge when Our #2 WR was traded and he got played by Aiyuk and the Niners leaving us with Van Jefferson as our #2.
We have no QB and it appears we’re desperate now and will have to settle for one of the two relics, Rodgers or Wilson.
You can keep Kahn. If they had any sense they would make Andy the GM and kick Kahn back to Capologist where he belongs. He’s no evaluater of talent. That should be Andy.

That number is bad but for whatever it is worth his overall grade for pass protection was better.
"Despite allowing consistent pressure, Moore's pass-blocking grade was a stellar 66.2."
Best thing he has done in reality is likely get us a 3rd comp next year.

Kind of harsh, this is his third year. Not sure what you’re looking for. He’s between a rock and hard spot (Tomlin and Duece).

The lack of drafted players on their second contract right now is this team's biggest issue outside of the obvious lack of a franchise QB. They have to do much better at drafting and developing talent.

I think there is a plan to their approach to free agency this year. I think they are intentionally targeting mostly non-compensatory formula players in a bid to have enough extra draft picks next year to trade away a few of the ones they have in hand for 2026 now knowing they will be replaced when the comps are announced next year. We will see a few more players targeted like Cooper Kupp and then a trade of next year's 2nd plus to get back into this year's second to grab players they want this year. I think we go RB first round if Hampton or Jeanty are there if not we go DL, if we need to, we trade up to get Dart or Shough in the second or third if things fall right. Otherwise we take Howard later in the third.

That is a league wide issue now. Particularly for first rounders as the new 5th year compensation formula has broken the system. It is much less likely to happen now if you look around the league.
