Hey Berm…..I know you probably watched every game of Alabama. The one stat that jumps on at me between the two are the interceptions.
Milroe 16 TD’s to 11 ints. With 205 completions @64.3% completion rate.
Dart. 29 td’s to 6 ints. With 296 competitors @ 69.3 %

That int difference is huge especially considering Dart threw 91 more competitions. Do you see Milroe improving on his passing game or is he more or less run first.

My worry with Dart is once again every Tom,Dick,and Harry figures we are interested in him. I see Quite a few teams are interested as well. His name pops up repeat . I don’t think he lasts till 2nd round. ( not that we have a second pick). I believe someone will trade up to get him in the 1st. Shall be interesting to see if someone trades ahead of pick #21 figuring that we want him.

If Pittsburgh maneuvered themselves into position to be able to take Manning in 2026.....no doubt the entire Manning family would advise him to stay another year. NO QB would want to come to Pittsburgh to start their career with Tomlin as HC here with the offensive scheme he employs.

Dart is actually the dumb play here, he’s going to have a career like Gardner Minshew. If he falls to the 3rd, where he belongs, I could live with it, if they trade up for him it will make 2022 look like 2004.

This is the least interested I have been relative to the Steelers and the NFL draft since 1971. Of course at that point I was still a kid, more interested in Matchbox cars, playing baseball, and avoiding lawn care duties so there's that.

Then 1972 and the Immaculate Reception happened and I was hooked. It has taken 8 consecutive non-losing season worthlessness to return me to my former idyllic state.

We’ll agree to disagree that it’s a “dumb play”, that he will look anything like Minshew or that he belongs in the 3rd.

Not saying I would take him at 21, that would depend on who else is available. But I would take him over Milroe and many other players.

And no way he lasts til 3rd…and he’s better than KFP by a country mile.

He may very well be QB2 in this draft as far as NFL careers go (although if drafted by Tomlin that’s a helluva hurdle to overcome-I’d need to know his hurdling skills are to project his value here)

The most favorable comp I’ve seen in a draft profile so far is Nix, but also have seen Minshew, Ponder, Wentz. The lack of elite traits is the reason for my KFP comparison, neither have any and thus don’t warrant a first round grade, IMO.

How many complete games of Dart did you watch in his college career?

I don’t give two craps about comps you’ve seen and which comps you deem favorable tbh.
Most guys that make these comps are hacks.

Rarely have I seen any of the pre draft comps equate into a reasonable post draft comparison where I’m like “yeah he really nailed that one”

I’ll trust what my eyes have seen from him on the field over some hack throwing out names to compare him to in search of clicks. I know my QB assessments have been better than many of the “experts” for nearly a decade running now…cuz I’m a bit of a college football junkie and actually watch many games.

I didn’t watch him, NFL scouts watched a ton of him, though, just echoing what I’m hearing. Another huge concern is that he tends to come up small in big games.

No need for personal attacks because we disagree.
 
All the tools definitely increases your chance for success as a NFL QB , but tons of those guys have failed miserably. To me the most important aspect of the QB’s success is where he ends up and the staffs ability to create a system for his strengths. Take Purdy and Jackson are good examples. Neither was in the top QB’s of there draft.

I will congratulate you on at least being honest in your lack of any real knowledge about the kid you grade without watching him play.

As far as coming up “small” in big games do yourself a favor and watch him play a bit, I’ll recommend starting with his performance vs the GA Bulldogs last year (a pretty big game) and see what ya think of him from a take backed by your own eyes. It’s a good starting place to familiarize yourself with the prospect.

Do you watch games on TV or break down film via All-22? And do you do it professionally? How many of the QBs have you deeply studied? Where are your detailed write ups?

I watch a ton of ball on TV, attend many games and watch a good bit of All 22 when accessible

And yes I do it professionally, make quite a bit of money at it. It’s called investing (or gambling by the uninformed chumps who just follow their gut and can’t investment bank from a wealth of knowledge to exploit the spreads).

In this draft class I’ve seen extensive bodies of work from several of the top prospects (if it’s Big 10 or SEC-100%)

And I’ll be condescending to your “Cooch like”
