Rodgers Signing with Black n’ Gold

All depends on our offense scheme and philosphy. Pickett/Tribiskey/Wilson/Fields were all shackled. Actually the entire offense was shackled. If Rodgers gets the same shackles as they did it will be a complete failure. We will find out soon enough how smart Tomlin actually thinks he is.

Then on the defensive side, we have the same old issues also.

Hopefully, Tomlin takes a long hard look in the mirror. I have been praying daily that he reads the threads on this site so he actually sees where his faults are since he clearly is having a hard seeing them himself. Get it done Coach T!!!!!!
I see Rodgers taking matters into his own hands and improvising, much like Ben did (with some success) at times later in his career. This guy knows what he's doing out there; he's not going to allow himself to be shackled by Tomlin or anyone else. What are the Steelers going to do if he doesn't comply? Bench him? Unlikely.

Maybe Rodgers and the Steelers can find some common ground in the middle, but I don't see a player with his ego coming in and being restricted within a system that has proven to be ineffective when it counts.

Dude you and a bunch of clowns are egging it on. I thought you were better than that but you clearly want to be "one of the guys". Weak sauce. Throw your Kentucky Bourbon out, bud. We don't want people drinking it that go with the crowd.
Oh come on Kentucky, lighten up! Just joking with you!
It’s such a short journey and not worth getting upset over trivial stuff like this.
And I love my Kentucky Bourbon so you know I was just messing with you.
As far as the crowd goes, you’re part of the crowd. Just because you get ragged on occasionally that’s just part of it.
You think I haven’t been nailed here over the years, of course I have.
Just relax and have fun on the board here and don’t take anything here personally.

To be truthful I thought the same thing about Russ last season.

Too Funny. I list DeBustro because I thought the name was funny and never get to use it and a bunch little girls jump around like monkeys thinking they have a "We gotcha!" moment. Talk about all the busts I listed, chumps. Yeah you won't/can't. HAHAHA, the internet is so pathetic with jacks trying to be buddies in cyberspace. Weak sisters. lmao
Yawn...

With all due respect to Russ, he never won one MVP award, let alone four of them. Rodgers is/was in a different stratosphere.

found 4 of you...... :ROFLMAO:

a group of men standing at a podium with the words `` ladies and gentleman we got him '' written on the screen .

Meh.....Ben never did either. I would take Ben over Rodgers every day.

New regime, same old playbook. Take your head out of the cave. Tomlick OWNS this slow motion now high speed TRAIN WRECK.

I thought you said you would be gone.

Now articles with zero factual information are to be quoted as sources...

The facted we drafted two OTs back to back with 1st round picks tell me the truth about how things Have changed. **** those click bait articles

I said I was gone for the rest of the day yesterday. Too funny, your gibberish gets shot down and you wish the messenger would go away. You're gibberish and Tomlin worship is pathetic. Anybody still wanting Tomlick to coach the once-vaunted Steelers can't be taken seriously and is clearly supporting him for non-football resasons.......so I've got you marked in the clown category. Enjoy yourself the rest of the way.

You must be mentally challenged to think I'm a Tomlin supporter, my mistake.
I'm glad to see you're able to use a computer, your parents must be proud.

Question is ....did you click on it?

I thought so as well but when the defenses shifted strategy, he started taking risks he shouldn't have and getting sacked or turning it over. His legs couldn't bail him out like in the past.

That is when game planning comes into play.

Was out of town camping for a few days and not able to weigh in on the A-Aron signing.
Remember I told yinz he'd sign after OTA's. This pleases me.
I'll be waiting for the sideline meltdown when they tell him he can't audible or throw over the middle and he bounces a football off Tomlin's or Smith's head.
I demand entertainment.

Terry Bradshaw was NFL MVP for the 1978 season, but I'm sure you knew that.
I actually looked that up for some reason a while ago.
Did you know in winning the MVP that year he threw for 2915 yards…..28 touchdowns and 20 interceptions. 20 interceptions. 56.3% completion rate.
Stats like that could get you benched in this era. Unless of course you are offset by a great defense.

Aaron Rodgers is not concerned with a $13 million paycheck at this point. He's already earned over $380 mill in his career...you think the guy is broke?

Aaaa-Ron held true to the interview he had on the Pat McAffee show awhile back. He said he would play for 10million / season. It wasn’t the money holding anything up.

Fast forward and he signed his base salary at 10mil (or very close to that + or -), with incentives.

I don’t hold the $$$ numbers for his contract but I think I’m pretty close enough.

Salute the nation

The Steelers were a turnover machine back then and had 52 alone in '79 but this was offset yes by their defense somewhat which wasn't what it once was in part because of the rule changes -- but also because of the big play, quick strike capability of Bradshaw, Stallworth, and Swann.

The team was so good it it had that much margin for error.

And twice on Sunday
Ben's last season

Ben Rothlisberger
Age 39
64.5% completion
3740 yards
22 tds 10 ints

Rodgers last season

Aaron Rodgers
Age 40
63% comp
3897 yards
28 tds 11 ints

They forced Ben out. And got on their knees and begged for Rodgers to sign. Ben had to deal with a horrible offensive system to boot. Curious to see what Tomlin does offensively this season for Rodgers.
