Bell suspended

Reading this thread sure makes it clear who grew up with parents that stormed into their schools, bitched at every teacher and tried to get them off the hook every time they did something wrong, that's for sure. For some here, personal responsibility is a mythical and foreign concept. It's always somebody else fault.

But I'm done I'm going leave it alone. Bell's a idiot and I hope he gets his **** together because I would love to keep his talent on this team. Hell if Parcels can keep LT wen can keep Bell if he gets his **** together

You didn't get sidetracked you drove yourself into the blame Tomlin lane from the beginning. Your first post in this thread included Tomlin..

And I answered your questions you claimed we got stupid penalties every week. I disproved that not with made up opinion but the penalty list you tried to ignore for pages..

Your list did not disprove anything. It showed we were 4th in the league in penalties. That is it. It didn't say what penalties were stupid penalties.
You may think it did but it didn't. This is how the how discussion has gone and how all your Tomlin support post go every time. Who would of thought. Huh

So what would you have the parents do? Punish their kids?

**** Bell.

Seriously, I'm all for the Steelers cutting the guy loose.

I'm not really interested in arguing whether grass should be legal or not.

The rules are the rules, and the guy obviously cares more about getting high than being a great player.

Time to move on, IMO.

Can't argue that.

Smh your talking about excessive celebration penalties which I recall there were two of. Brown humping the goal post and gay dancing. Two which contradicts your every week narrative

And you really think Tomlin cares what fans think? Look I personally don't think it will ever happen. Does it happen to others teams as Andy suggests? I'm sure. All I'm saying is that we seem to get one penalty a game from it(might be a lot less). It seems like it should be an easy fix. HC should just say not to do it. If we have a bunch of professionals on the team they should listen. If not sit the player. How long? If he is going against what the HC is saying then you do it for how long it takes. The rest will follow. Does everyone really think that this would be a hard concept to achieve? Really.
Now I don't/can't remember any specific games where one of these stupid penalties has cost us a game. I do seem to remember they always happen in close games. Some against inferior teams that let them stick around. Maybe this is part of the reason we play down to teams. Or maybe not. Sure seems like a simple fix if one wanted to correct it though.

See, but that's not my point. I'm not talking about what Tomlin thinks or if he cares what we fans think. My point is you're suggesting that Tomlin needs to prove a point and sit a player down for x-amount of plays or series for post-play celebration bull **** and showing themselves to be bigger than the team. However, if that were to start happening, how long before fans start saying that "Tomlin has a huge ego" because he's benching a player for something like this? Because you better damn well believe it'll happen, especially if it were to end up costing the Steelers a game. And honestly the only one that really sticks out in my mind is Brown running into the goal post at the end of his punt return last year against the colts but it was the final score in a beat down game. It was totally inconsequential.

There were some others, like Bryant somersaulting into the endzone against the cardinals, but i don't think it was penalized. As a matter of fact, the most outspoken one of it all was Ben and that was because he was worried about them hurting themselves.

Chipped that already happened. Remember the fumble game where Tomlin kept benching RBs for fumbling. He was called a idiot for that.

So if it wasn't a penalty what the hell are we talking about?????

Oh tempering guys emotions which I've already said is a slippery slope for a coach. Cause you know the team was flat. You know how people love to pull that out they *** if we start the game down slow

Oh because you can only recall 2 of them... Why didn't you state this from the get go. SMH

Lol, is that actually a crazy idea to you? I would certainly hope not. Unless you want spoiled, narcissistic, ******* adults running around everywhere when they grow up.

If we are relate this to Tomlin, these aren't kids and Tomlin isn't their Dad.

Why are you worried about what fans think? If it keeps the RB's from fumbling then bench them until they get it right. And seriously....do you think Tomlin bases his decisions on what fans might think? If he does then Pop is correct with every single post he has made on Tomlin.

You can't recall any of them and its your argument

Spin away spin away smh. Are you a merry go round never seen someone spin like this lol.

Not surprised in the least.

This is the exact scenario I believed would play out and sadly it did.

Kid has a ton of talent. There is no excuse for this, not only does it hurt him but it hurts the Pittsburgh Steelers. I have zero faith that it won't happen again. Sure people make mistakes but when you blow something this big you've got issues.

Well there must be consequences for ones actions. If Bell skips a test then if the rule states that it is a failure...well then it is a failure. If you tell your players to not dance and celebrate after making a tackle 20 yards down field(and draws a penalty) or there will be consequences....well enforce them. The argument is that you have to let players be who they are now a days. Bla bla bla. ....All I'm saying is reel them in so we don't get called for stupid penalties. Simple fix but Andy explained to me that other teams have the same issue so we shouldn't worry about it.

LOL. Spin Doctor himself. Side stepping everything.

so the injured RB, star RB, of the Steelers, now has 4 extra weeks to heal, and will be fresher for the playoffs. unfortunately, Tombert has ****** up because there is no legit b/u.
DOOMED!
Evil Snoop and Wiz have installed a water slide where the Stairway To Seven is supposed to be.

Only you would argue that Tomlin shouldn't try to get his players to stop excessive celebrating after plays that draw penalties. You and only you. Honestly I personally don't know why i continued to post about the subject. It is an area I believe Tomlin(team) can improve on. Since it was deemed by you as a Tomlin bashing you took upon yourself to make it your quest to prove Tomlin is beyond reproach.

Still spinning lol..just stop. You are the one who claimed this was a problem every week. Did you say that or not. Then I told you it was only twice. I then explained that two penalties is not alot you then said there should no stupid penalties at all. Which is more realistic? Coaches are reluctant to tell players not to celebrate after big plays. I then explained to you why. Tempering player emotions in a emotional game is a slippery slope. Of course coaches ask that players celebrate within the league rules but will never say don't celebrate. So they live with the occasional penalty. Which is what the Steelers had last year. Not that perpetual problem you tried to make it seem like in your posts. But im the one spinning??
