Covid Vaccine

So you’re vaccinated and encourage Tim and others to get vaccinated?

Why do you care so much if I am vaccinated Floggy?

I'm likewise a little concerned about your herpes. And who you sleep with and how much you may be spreading it. Why don't you share with us the drugs you take for your herpes and the last time you cheated on your wife and who you could have spread it to?

It would help if you actually read the article, Tim. Vaccine HESITENT is NOT vaccine RESISTANT. 55% of vaccine RESISTANT are REPUBLICAN, only 20% are Democrats.
i read your KFF link.
what jumped out at me is the county statistic

first, look at this:
On Nov. 10, the Brookings Institution published a report on county-level results. The report showed that Biden won 477 counties, while Trump won 2,497 counties.

Now, without re-hashing the populations of those counties, let's all assume that 2,497 > 477, ok?

back to the KFF article you're currently massaging yourself over:

While the share of the total population that is fully vaccinated has increased for both county groups, it has increased faster in counties that voted for Biden, resulting in a widening gap.

should it NOT be expected that the number of counties which Biden won would be more vaccinated than those Trump won? I mean, we do have to stretch the imagination that the people living in URBAN areas who are more closely congested than those in RURAL areas would be more inclined to get vaxxed, right?

If you even look at this map casually, you can see that the blue areas are populous by virtue of being home to large cities. right?
1626794898392.png

all those red areas? yucky fly over country, mostly.

so, even a doddering fool such as yourself should be able to expect the blue counties to have more people vaxxed than people in the red counties based on tech, availability, and willingness. Ah, that last word - willingness. See, the people in the red areas may not be as WILLING to get injected due to their livelihoods may not place them in need of being vaxxed. They could very well NOT be commuting to large cities. They could very well be isolating themselves in their smaller cities, towns and communities.

Regardless of reason, it's kinda ******* obvious that the blue areas would be more vaxxed than the red areas and only a simpleton toad would need an article to point this out.

Why do you care so much if I am vaccinated Floggy?

Because FloggedbyFauci™ is a boot-licking government lackey likely going around asking people if they've had their shots.

Actually, I don't know if it's even left it's basement in like 18 months. Hard to tell with that one.

Not only have I read the article, I suggest you actually read the study too - all 34 pages.

First lesson, we spell it hesitant. And it's not San Dakota.

Second, do you understand the groupings? Who took the study? Their answers? Out of 2,097 participants, 1,189 had taken the jab, 893 had not.

Second, notice the survey was 817 Democrats, 321 Republicans, 544 Independents. Not really balanced, but let's proceed.

Notice the sliding scale of questions? Surely you've done these....they scale from one extreme to netral to the other extreme

1626795688038.png

See the different buckets? I know this is a big slide with lots of big words....

Now re-read the CNN summary after your learnings above.....

A look at the data reveals that the vaccine hesitant group, however, are not big Trump lovers. They're actually likely not to be Republican. Instead, many of them are people who are detached from the political process and didn't vote for either major candidate in 2020.

The most recent Kaiser poll helps illustrate that the vaccine hesitant group doesn't really lean Republican. Just 20% of the group called themselves Republican with an additional 19% being independents who leaned Republican. The clear majority (61%) were not Republicans (41% said they were Democrats or Democratic leaning independents and 20% were either pure independents or undesignated).

This is very much unlike the vaccine resistant group, of whom 55% are Republican or Republican leaning independents. Just 21% of that group are Democrats or Democratic leaning independents.

The Kaiser poll points to a larger problem:
There isn't going to be a single ideological message that appeals to a majority of the vaccine hesitant group. They're of all political stripes.

I know this is hard for you to understand...but there are degrees involved in surveys. You know, VERY Likely, Somewhat Likely, Neutral, Somewhat Unlikely, VERY unlikely.

Combined, the HESITANT and the RESISTANT group make up the side of the scale that is anti-vaccine (to one degree or another). This is your negative bucket. These are all of the respondents who will not or may not get the vaccine. Both groups are "resisting" getting vaccinated today. Read...the...study.

Yes, Republicans lead the WILL NOT category. But you couple that with 41% Democrats who are likely not to/hesitant and the 20% unregistered/independents, you have a different story.

Thus CNN's conclusion (your source for all truth and knowledge) summation: The hesitant group (the group you COULD persuade to get the vaccines) is primarily NOT Republicans and it is the LARGER group. And thus, There isn't going to be a single ideological message that appeals to a majority of the vaccine hesitant group. They're of all political stripes.

They're of all political stripes.

But you and Tiblio keep banging the drum that the people not getting the vaccines are all Republicans. It's a stupid, unfounded premise. But hey...that's how you two roll.

Simply priceless. The pushback against GOP quacks needs to be bold & forceful, just like this. Thank you, Dr. Fauci! 🏆

No, dummy. We're saying the people spreading bullshit, fear & fake news are all Republicans.

In addition to 6 (confirmed I believe) fully vaccinated who were on that plane who now have Covid. Just goes back to Vader's point of mRNA being unstable, needing to be kept at a certain temperature and being potentially spoiled/ineffective.

Again, my first source is THIS BOARD. I suppose it’s a coincidence that all the anti-vaxers here are white, far right / alt right conservatives? How is this board not indicative of those articles?
There you go again, painting with that broad brush of yours, solely to fit your narrative.

Did you really just bold from the article what I posted? Vaccine RESISTANT = will NOT get vaccinated. 2.62/1 Republican/Democrat.

“But, but, but… the vaccine hesitant aren’t necessarily Republican” LOL!

This map is way wrong. ALL of the Counties around Cincinnati are bright RED. Only Hamilton County is Democrat and it is almost purple.

It's official. You can't read a report and interpret the simplest of data points. Even CNN could, and that's saying a lot.

Read the study Floggy...understand the details. Of those who haven't had the vaccine, there is NO political correlation.

Well, it’s the Covid Vaccine thread. Only OFTB has pushed back against, TIm. Many have pushed back against Tibs and me, what are we supposed to believe?

When the CPAC crowd cheers anti-vaccination remarks, what are we supposed to believe?

When vaccinated Trump and other Republicans refuse to promote vaccination, what are we supposed to believe?

You're supposed to look to other news sources and see vaccine resistance comes from all walks.

You're supposed to trust the CDC data that shows minorities are the largest portion of the population that aren't vaccinated.

You're supposed to be....objective. Not dismissive of the data that doesn't affirm your biases...as you have done with the CDC data.

I spent the past weekend surrounded by thousands (literally) of college kids, in their bars and clubs. Not a single person with a mask. A COVID breeding ground. I'm unvaccinated. The rest of my family has had it, and are immune. I'm not. Unless, which I believe I have, I have the antibodies because there's no way they all got it and I didn't given where we all were together. Maybe I'm immune, maybe I'm not.

Got the test results. Nothing. Negative. If ever I was going to get COVID, this weekend would have been it. Super Spreader event!

Beat me to it.....OFTB is discussing this in a well thought out manner, you know logical, adult discourse.

You should try that Trog, and leave the assumptions out of the discussion, lest it resorts to a my dad can beat up your dad level.

You just got your ******* *** handed to you with a shovel!! LMAO...down right ******* OWNED. Buh bye.

Yet another MAGA knuckle-dragger says what?

Seems like it doesn't too much matter whether you're vaccinated or not. Seems to be an awful lot of people that are vaccinated catching the COVID. Hell, there are people who HAVE HAD COVID and are vaccinated and are still catching this ****. If in fact they really are. The tests are pretty unreliable, so who knows how much of a factor that plays in.

I don't know. I feel like we're stuck in this never ending covid circle jerk where natural immunity doesn't exist, immunizations don't seem to help much, we want a perpetual state of masking, and people are afraid to live their lives, even though their lives could end at any second regardless of whether they get COVID or not.

I can't imagine why anyone would be distrusting.
