2016-2017 Pens----Still with 100% more Kessel

Let the caps misery continue in their home for game 7. Let their fans see first hand another melted season at the hands of the Pens.

1: Don't turn the puck over
2: clear the puck out of the D zone --- win neutral ice battles
3: quality shots --- at Holtby's glove side or anywhere top shelf(glove or stick side)
4: ******* skate

If the Pens do those 4 things without being fancy about it they win the series.
The caps are taking advantage of turnovers and using the Pens inability to clear pucks which prolongs ice time for our guys --- which results in tired skating and easy targete to hit.

Simple **** really. Just "simplify" the game.

lol, so true and sad! Oh, the irony!

To be fair. Guentzel did hit the caps players head.
Officiating has gone both ways. Easy to nitpick the hook on Cullen's breakaway, Tom Wilson's predatory runs at players. Good hockey teams over come that and adapt.

The frustrating thing about this series is not bringing up the younger guys. Sit Cullen, Sheary and Kunitz for a game and bring up the speedier guys

The turnovers aren't coming from being hit or tired - they just plain SUCK against the Caps now. At some point you have to give them credit too.

Dammit , why couldn't we play Columbus every round!

They finesse and dangle entering the offensive zone. Malkin is the main culprit. Rust and Hagelin just rush up the board. If nothing is created, dump the puck and depend on an aggressive forecheck to create opportunity

He's out of answers, Spike. It's the same mantra he has used in the past and it's worked. The last 2 games, not so much.

Not entirely so. The answer is the philosophy he always preaches. "Simplify"
That's all the Pens need to do. The superstar guys are trying to shoulder the whole load and be a hero. The supporting players who helped push this team to a cup cannot do **** when the star guys are being to fancy turning the puck over.

At this point. Who knows really

what are these mother ******* doing?!!

Have to miss out on playoff hockey down here and the Pens stand in the way of keeping the Capitals away from the Cup and can't shut them down?

Somebody fix this ****.

We're all on edge lol.
A lot of tight sphincters.

Tampa was plagued by injuries too huh? Always like how Boyle played hard for Tampa. Drouin is always a thorn in the Pens side. Expect Cooper to have you guys competing again

Reminds me of years ago when we were playing philly. They got rough with us, took us out of our game because we had to do the same as the skilled players weren't being skilled and ....

Here's the thing, besides our guys making horrible mistakes in our end to get it out their def was pinching in every time. There should be some clear passes NOT beyond offsides and make speed plays. But they didn't.

Was it the 2012 series? I remember Crosby and Letang fighting in that game. That very game pissed me off. Surprisingly I accepted the series loss. The next season in 2013, now that series stung. That Pens team was loaded, and the signing if Iginla; only to get swept in the ECF. Ugh! I think that was the best assembled Pens team post 2009. Last years squad was great too. Guys knew their role last season. It wasnt just Sid or Malkin shouldering the load. This season, despite the return of the same guys. Eh, losing Letang is showing. I still think Lovejoy was very underrated in Sullivans system.

I still do think the Pens can get it done. I'm starting to dislike the craps more than the flyers. O.o
Pens always thumped wash in a game 7 outcome. So again, hoping a prepped Pens team comes in. I'm not even asking for a flashy win. Just win

Part of me wants to watch it tomorrow night, but a part of me wants to get the good news of a hard fought win. Regardless, I will not be watching. Really am hoping for the best. Just to disappoint the Caps and their fans one more time would be poetic justice.

I was going to avoid watching or recording it for luck's sake. In the past, when I missed Steeler's games they always seem to win big so I thought I would try it tomorrow night. But honestly I am just about resigned to the fact that this team is nowhere near where it was last year at this time, and it is highly doubtful they can win another cup in its current state. We all seen this coming the entire season. We knew losing Letang would catch up to them sooner or later.

So I am going to watch and hope at least they can improve over the pathetic showing last night and not let this season end on such a bad note.

I know they are capable of winning tomorrow night. Normally, I wouldn't miss it for anything, but I'm keeping my prior commitment and hoping to be surprised. After last night's showing, my glass is half empty.

Yeah my willingness to suffer is limited. Even more so when I have to get up at 4:30 am the next day

I will stagger through my day in a drunken stupor, fire and hire at will, in order to stay up and watch the Pens make the Craps choke.

The sens have won. They are a wounded team too. Still hope for the black & gold

I have been debating about posting this, but here goes.

The Caps close this out tomorrow. They have outplayed us for most of the last four games, and they seem to have found the secret to our weakened defense. I expect them to be very physical, and play most of the game in our end.

I'm pulling for the Preds or Sens going forward, if the Pens drop it.

Plus, I suck at predicting games, so maybe I'm wrong again.

Let the bashing begin.

Ah yes, but they'd have to work and put out a lot of effort for that to happen, then they'd get caught behind the net, lose the puck and get another 2 on 1 break the other way.

I'm just waiting for the news report that the fire alarm was pulled at wherever hotel the Pens stay in D.C.

Congrats to the Sens, going to the Eastern Conference Final.

Ottawa/Nashville would make a great contest in the Final. It would be the lowest viewing crowd on tee-vee ever, I bet. That's who I'm rooting for.

my head tells me it will get ugly and the Pens might make a last push to make it somewhat competitive, but like you said, the Caps figured something out.

Hoping I'm wrong, but this team is on the ropes and are ready to get knocked out. WASH will not let this one get away from them. They have all the mojo and confidence going into tonight and the Pens don't have a counter punch. Not having Daley in there really does hurt. Maybe the real Pens will show up and play inspired hockey. They have to, there's no tomorrow. Just don't get run out of the building.

The Pens problems are puck possession/trouble clearing pucks. A lot has to do is cause guys do not know where/when to clear. Something easily fixable. Just clear center ice. Nothing fancy. Let the speedier forwards do their job.

Neutral ice turnovers-- here is where Malkin stands out the most. Nothing cute or fancy. Just skate in.

Pens have a chance. They just need to play their game. They let the caps bully them and fell into their game

One Win away from the ECF!

I'm going into this expecting nothing

I feel good

......aaaaaaaaaaaand Kunitz is back skating in the Top 6
