2016-2017 Pens----Still with 100% more Kessel

Not to rub it in, but, I found this

And the Crosby vs Ovechkin debate is settled once and for all.

The Crosby v Ovechkin debate was settled years ago. Now the debate is Ovechkin vs Malkin, and Malkin is gaining!

I wanted a Nashville/Edmonton matchup in the west. That would have been fun to watch, and I would be happy with either team advancing. I don't care for the ducks. Either way the road to the Stanley Cup leads through Pittsburgh!!

Also I hope this year changes the playoff format, because there is no incentive to winning the President's Trophy if you have to play the 2nd best team in the league in round 2!. Reseed after the first round, problem solved.

You know if it were not for Niskanen trying to take Crosby's head off, immediately after Ovi shlashed him, and Wilson trying to take out Pens every other shift at times I too would feel sorry for the Caps for what they have went through. But after that sequence the other night when Wilson made one circle around the ice and hit 3 Pens late taking Daley out I hope the Capital's franchise crumbles into mediocrity.

I do not feel sorry for them. This series made me hate the caps on a philly level.

Edmonton will be a legit cup contender from now on. Like Toronto, they are getting the experience under. Anaheim I do not know too much about. Always liked Getzlaf and Perry though. I think their goalie Gibson is a Pittsburgh boy. So a little hometown rooting for you guys lol.

I'm pulling for Nashville for some emotional reasons lol. My wife's bro in law is a Preds fan. I promised if the Pens/Preds matchup in the cup final. I'll drink with him and have fun. My wife and sis in law are Pens fans all the way. For me personally it would be fun. Both the Preds and Pens look strong to push. So here's hoping

OTT/PIT should be a good series. I'm not taking them lightly. Karlsson is scary good.

He's bout all they got, and he has a bad foot. Defend the hell against him. They are a boring trapping team that likes to clog the middle, Rags didn't have enough firepower to break them, we just need patience. They will crack.

Kessel is the Sens killer

all is true. I'd be surprised if the Pens don't take them out in 5 games, maybe 6 is pushing it. Contain Karlsson and they should be golden.

Karlsson is banged up. Have a guy like Hornqvist or Wilson rough him up a bit. I'm a bit worried about Methot seeking revenge on Sid. But other than that; I'm feeling a repeat similar to that of the Pens/Canes in 2009.
-Pens have too much depth and skill. I think last nights win instilled some much needed confidence.

Ottawa is Canada's Team now! - remember this?

ha ha

First playoff game I watched this year. Pretty exciting.

Depends on which Pens team shows up. The one that got its *** handed to it in game 5 and 6 or the one that showed up in game 7?

Hopefully the effort is there from here on out.

Come out all guns blazing. Go with the fresh young legs, Wilson and Rowney looked like they were shot out of a cannon. This is the series where the Pens can get their speed edge back. Sens are not the forechecking team the Caps were. There should be space on home ice.

You picked a good one to watch!

Pens were hemmed in their own zone for 3/4 of the game in the rest of the series

When the Rangers played with speed, they won both games 4-1. When they sat back and played the Sens game, they lost 4 games. If the Pens use their speed on the forecheck and to counter attack, they will eat the Sens lunch in 4, maybe 5 games. Plus, Craig Andersen ain't Bobrovsky or Holtby. Pens in 5.

Sens have a stingy D and controls the neutral zone. Very disciplined and structured. The Pens need to use their speed to break their force field. I'm sure the Sens will be out for revenge on Sid and he will hear about it all series. Like the Jackets and Craps, F 'em! This is the Pens' series. Home ice, got through two of the toughest teams in the East, I'm looking at 5, as well.

Pens in 5. Should be an easier task than wash. Consider that Karlsson is hurting bad and the Rags went after him
