Why? Speed team ... means things should open up for the Pens .. right?

aaaand, Knob Creek it is!!

I hope.
I hope the Pens find another gear. Rest up and enjoy it. If we repeat man....exciting!

too close for comfort, but I will take it and twice of Sundays!

hats off to Ottawa. Hate to say they were undeserving to be there, but they fought to the very end.

They were undeserving. I feel for Anderson though.
The guy left if all out there. His off ice story with his wife currently battling cancer. The guy did his best MAF vs Washington and almost stole this series.

Methot and Bobby Ryan and Dion fanooff --- jagoffs!

It's been a blast

My reverse jinx TOTALLY WORKED AGAIN!

EVERYBODY I CALL OUT ends up winning the game

I am a marvel of engineering

I am taking FULL credit for this win....

Glad they pulled it off. So much drama. Now a chance to repeat 4 wins away. Such a ridiculously hard trophy to win.

Holy ****! What a game and what a series! Sure glad the Pens get a couple extra days rest. They need it.

I think that might have been for the cup. Not looking past Nashville but I just can't see any team being a tougher out than the Sens were. Great D that frustrated our O. Great, great goalie that stopped anything and everything last night (we could have had 10 goals against a lesser net minder) and in the series (other than game 5). Great coaching. And, a pretty damn good O.

Is Nashville better than that? I don't know. But if the Pens play like they have been, I can definitely see us winning this thing. The question I see is how tired are they and how banged up are they. The announcers said the Pens haven't been healthy since December, yet here we are. Pretty ******* amazing if you ask me.

This series will probably go 6 or 7 games. I like our chances with the home ice. LET'S GO PENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They went through the caps as well. Battle tested and then some.

Nashville is no joke. Forsberg, Subban, Neal, Rinne and Sissons will cause fits. Add Laviolette to his past Cup win and Flyer goonery, and we will have a helluva SCF. Not to mention, their crowd is freakin' crazy loud, like Ottawa 2.0. Strap in, should be another 7-game nail biter.

They are banged up like us though
-CBJ and Washington should really have the Pens battle tested.
- I'm still under the impression that Ottawa was not that good. Plenty of puck luck and a hot goalie on their side.
- but they ran a 1-3-1. So the Pens have seen just about everything this post season

Nashville is legit, but this Pens team is tough. To get by without Letang and the growth of the baby Pens --- a strong chance at a repeat

I'm not counting the Pens out of anything, as they have seen and done it all to this point. As optimistic as I try to be, some pessimism creeps into the reality of the upcoming task. After last series, I will not take any team lightly. I did that with Ottawa and they almost pulled it off. I hope we get Horny back, as he knows that arena and team very well. It has been a long, hard road to get to the SCF and everything now really is gravy.

Ottawa may not be that good, but they did play us tough in the reg season and hung with the Pens through 6 of the 7 games. It really could have went either way. Karlsson is the real deal. Always in great position, making the right play. Anderson, too. Was pretty great and a shame, really, that the floater is what beat him, but like I've said, I'll take it.

Mike was almost constantly calling Karlssons name. You'd think he was always on the ice. He'd be a great addition to the Pens lineup.

im a casual fan. That said. The thing i feel like i notice is that with all the hype Malkin gets, it seems he fades every year in the playoffs and cup. I may be wrong. Just seems like he should be better than he is.

I think the pens should get Ryan from sens. What a motor.

Karlsson was always on the ice. The dude logged almost 90 minutes more than any other player in the playoffs and that is with hairline fractures in his foot. He logged crazy minutes every game. I think in the 1st OT period, they said he had 2 minutes more than Crosby. Dude is a stud.

Overall, I think Malkin has played very well and he usually does. When he comes on the ice and gets in the offensive zone, it's tough to get him off the puck and he is big and very fast. His problem is he gives up stupid turnovers in the defensive zone and the neutral zone. If he could eliminate most of the stupid mistakes, he would be unstoppable as Crosby is.

Agree the blue line shots with nobody in front of the net are a waste of time...

The way I see it is if Anderson plays out of his mind and the Pens cant get 3 or more past him tonight the Pens lose. Murray has to be solid too.

It is what it is.

Lmao and I had to set there watching the first 3 periods unfolding exactly the way I predicted. And naturally being Mr pessimistic I figured it was going to go Ottawa's way once they forced overtime.

Really happy to be right for once lol.

I'm sorry, but Malkin tends to be a turnover machine. He made some mistakes , whether they were lazy or brainfarts, but I really though his turnovers were going to doom them in OT. I have 100% confidence that Sid will make the right play and don't fret when he's on the ice. I hold my breathe when Geno has the puck with his drop passes, over handling the puck and sometimes carelessness. For the most part, he plays hard, but the other part frustrates me.

Pittsburgh Penguins ✔ @penguins
Coach Sullivan: "Hornqvist and Schultz will be game-time decisions."

They better bench Kunitz and put all the young legs they got out there. We need to motor 110% of the time
Say what now?

Keep up the good work, Spike. Whatever the Penguins are paying you is money well spent.

i'm off to collect my top shelf drink from a Flyers fan - life is good!

Red Snapper - Crown, Amaretto, cranberry
