2016-2017 Pens----Still with 100% more Kessel

Have to agree with Indy though. Crosby is Captain Canada
judging by everyone I know in Canada, they were rooting for Ottawa and they are mostly from New Brunswick... One even works in Cole Harbour...

im a casual fan. That said. The thing i feel like i notice is that with all the hype Malkin gets, it seems he fades every year in the playoffs and cup. I may be wrong. Just seems like he should be better than he is.

I think the pens should get Ryan from sens. What a motor.

Leading scorer in the playoffs... lol... Maybe the fans expect too much if that is not enough.

Mike was almost constantly calling Karlssons name. You'd think he was always on the ice. He'd be a great addition to the Pens lineup.

Gotta agree, he is definitely a Pittsburgh type of guy.

and for all you noobs

It's Stanley Cup FINAL

not Stanley Cup Finals

Lol, I just saw Predators banned all Penguins outsiders from buying tickets to the game in Nashville.

What a game. I never thought Anderson could sustain that level of play for an entire series. The Pens had chance after chance after chance. When it got to OT, I just had a bad feeling that got worse when we got to 2OT. When Kunitz scored, I yelled so loud I think I woke everyone in the hotel I was staying at. Great job Pens.

A chance to heal up what can be healed in that short period. Get good nutrition and great sleep go a long way. I'm amped.

I literally jumped out of my couch when Kunitz scored it was great.

Just when you doubt these guys they manage to pull a win. As much as I am nervous about Nashville. I think the Pens can win just based on experience and the fact that Sullivan can get the most out of his guys. What a turn around by Sheary. He played well. Shultz looked a bit dinged up, but I think a few days off will help.

Carter Rowney is due for some goals. He is the standout of the conference final. I'd like Archibald back down the line too. Both teams are dinged up, but I think the Pens can play their speed game

lol, yea, him and Oshie. Sign 'em up in the off-season. Make it happen, Rutherford!!! :biggrin1:

I'd love Oshie as a Pen. He may not be the fastest skater, but he's a goal scorer, and I think Malkin could benefit from a winger like him

I can see a three day break thrown into the series but not after almost every damn game. It's not like they have to travel across country. Why would they change things up now. It takes teams out of the rhythm they've gotten into in playing every other night.

Well if we go 7 games and win we won't have much down time before the Steelers start camp. I'd rather not go 7... I may need to take up drinking for a few days..

kinda funny after reading some comments from the cocky Preds fans thinking they are now world beaters. Half thinks they will sweep and the other half thinks they Pens are not that good. I love good comedy in the morning. I also remember when I got to experience my first Cup run. . .in 1991!

I'm just hoping that the team takes the Preds seriously. No question that this series is the Pens to lose, and they showed flashes of that inclination in the last two series. Go in with the urgency we saw in the OTs, and in game five, and the series is a lock. Go in with this penalty kill attitude we saw after w went up 2-1 in the third, and we might not dance with Lord Stanley for a while.

You can't blame their fans for being completely excited over their very first Final

...but they were the 16th seed for a reason, turn up the heat and outscore them! - Pecker Reenie is due for a fall back to earth

yeah, this three day break is huge for this team, we couldn't have asked for a better schedule.

Same goes for the multiple two day breaks once the series gets under way.

Pecker Reenie - A name that is fun to say in front of the kids - Is tall. Over six feet tall. According to 970 am yesterday, they said that Sid has his best stats against tall net minders. They were talking about how you can get the taller ones to go one direction, but they have trouble going the other way.

I call him Pecker Weiner lol.

I think Nashville are taking the Pens lightly. I feel the Pens best is yet to come

If the best is yet to come then we're in for a real treat.

I think so. The Pens played a great offensive game against Ottawa. Anderson just played lights out.
I think Nashville will go in trying to "over" use their defense. They'll only be able to contain Sid for so long. Even if they do, the boys have plenty of fire power to strike. This will be the series Pecker goes flaccid. That viagra for Kunitz will be given to Nashville after the series lol

Yeah those days off are awesome for the team. It only helps the high motor guys to keep the petal to the metal.

I think Guentzel and Sheary will have a big series. If Renne struggles with shorter players cause of the lack of mobility, this would work well with the tic tac toe passing the team likes to use.

Horny and Rowney should be able to provide enough frustration for the opposition to give the Pens some PP chances. I do expect Horny to be bruised and battered after this series though. I'm ready for monday
