End of the first. Lucky to be even after the first. A couple observations.
--Cullen needs to sit. Period. I am tired of the guy playing like he is about to **** his depends. Slow, tripping over nothing repeatedly. ****. Give me a hustle guy instead of a dead weight veteran presence. Play Archibald.
--I think the Pens are just about tired of having teams take liberties between the whistles and after the whistles. They are reacting now and while I think it is bad to do, who can blame them? I mean, how many ******* blatant penalties have to occur right in front of the ref until he calls something? Which leads to....
--If this is the best of the best officiating the SCF, the NHL needs to reevaluate it officiating standard. The non call on boarding Cullen is unacceptable. The cross checking, the forearm shiver by Subban, and the fact that it took not 1, not 2, but 4 cross checks RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE OFFICIAL to actually draw a penalty. ****, just call the rule book. When you are short handed 40 minutes a game, this **** will clean itself up, scoring will go up, and your stars won't miss half a season due to a concussion. The NHL is losing fans right now, and Bettman doesn't care because he is afraid of pissing off a few dinosaurs (AKA hockey purists). No other league in the world allows its best players to get ***-raped outside the rules for the sake of parity. The NHL is last among the major American sports leagues for a reason.

I usually dont complain about the refs, but man this game is rough. Ours guys are getting boarded, cross checked 3-4x, punched, and whatever else and it is not getting called. I am all for letting guys play, but these are blatant penalties right in front of refs. I do not get it
Hey no matter what happens, we beat the Capitals.
Damn straight! The caps invested their salary just to try to topple the Pens. Love it. The East was no walk in the park. The 1st and 2nd rounds were against some much hated rivals. To see our boys overcome their rivals along with injuries and to be in the final yet again. Let's cap it off with a cup!

I gotcha. And they are trying to set up. I still think rather than trying to set up that extra pass. The d man that's back which is Shultz on the 1st PP, and Daley on the 2nd PP unit or the winger which is Kessel should just let it rip. But they are setting up. Just passing too much

The Pens are gonna get screwed when it comes to getting beat up but they have to stay composed because the refs will immediately call the retaliation penalty on us.

Funny thing is, guys like Gretzky and Mario were great because they weren't *** raped like this every damn game. Well, at least not until expansion, anyway. I would love to see Sid and Geno with the room Gretzky had. The NHL is ******* up an absolute golden era of generational goal scoring talent. Maybe Connor McDavid's grandson will have room to skate without someone trying to decapitate him with a hockey stick. What a waste.
Followed quickly by Kessel ... who realizing that he has slept walked through the last few games and THIS is the SCF, puts down the hot dog and beer, pulls himself up from the ******* recliner and actually starts shooting the damned puck!
