Admittedly, while I watch a good amount of hockey, I am not very good at knowing how technically well a team is playing. Of course, like most, I have a sense of when the Pens or the other team are playing better, but from a technical standpoint, I just do not know enough of strategy, etc. That said, while we were outplayed much of the game, I do not actually think that the Predators played that well. Sure, they were skating fast and getting to the puck better than the Pens. However, to me, the Predators seemed wildly out of control and to have little to no coordination among them. They seemed to trade speed for organization. In doing so, they got to a lot more pucks and limited our chances, but also did so at the expense of being in a good position the few times we actually had scoring chances. In part, I attribute our high goal to shot percentage to the fact that the Predators were so disorganized, particularly in the 1st.

Game 1 was a game the Pens *should* have lost....but didn't.
They will def play better and earn their wins from here on out...
But in a 7 game series, winning a game you *shouldn't* is a gigantic feat.
Preds are demoralized, Pekka is shaken and the Pens will dominate Game 2...

I really hope you're right. To take Game 2 would be HUGE! I do think the Pens will pick up their game and send PeckerNation reeling for answers.

I'm contradicting in all my post atm lol. Just antsy for another shot at the cup and playing out multiple line combinations in my head. This is one series where the Pens can play their game. Which is speed hockey.
They could also play physical, cause to be honest; the Preds are wounded like the Pens.
