2016-2017 Pens----Still with 100% more Kessel

How sweet it is. Persistence and perseverance pays off again. Enjoy it. It's been a fun post season ride with you all. Great to hear Mike and the ol 29er call one last game. Thanks Mike!!!

Everyone's passion here was amazing this season. We went through the ups and downs together. This post season tested us as fans. But we went through it all.

It certainly looked bleak at times. I'm glad I got to watch all of the games. Good stuff. I'm a happy camper.

Gotta be happy for Cullen ... 40 yo ... still competing / leading

Happy for Hainsey too ... never been in a playoff game until this year, now he wins Lord Stanley's Cup.

Kunitz too - been around - still a player. Put him on any line and he will contribute.

What a great season. Where does this team rank all time? Had to dust Flower off in the early rounds. Tanger was not available for the playoffs. Sid missed a game vs. Wash. These guys overcame a LOT this year.

Just a thought ... Sullivan has coached the Pens for two years ... two Stanley Cup Championships ... Of course this makes him the most accomplished coach in town, but did these last two years just punch his ticket to the HOF?

You had optimism yourself at times. It was a gut wrenching post season. That double OT in the ECF had me just two beats from the hospital lol

I bought Game 7 tickets after Game 5. Very happy I don't have to use them! What a game and an ending! I've watched that Hornqvist goal so many times now and that was exactly the type of goal this game would have to end on with how well both goalies were playing.

Interesting. He's done a great job managing all that talent. You gotta figure it has to be pretty tough coaching players who are the best in the friggin world. They seem like a great group but but I bet the ego level has to be up there somewhat. Great job keeping it maintained and coachable.

He called out the ego last series I think. I remember one of the stories circulating why the team rarely shot on the PP. Sullivan said the guys were stubborn lol.

I don't think it's just the management of talent, but the handle of the roster when the injuries piled up.
