2016-2017 Pens----Still with 100% more Kessel

Such an ugly game. 4-1 loss. Coach Sullivan got ejected and may be subject to further discipline

What did he do? I couldn't watch

Trust me...it gets worse...they were totally outmatched....turnovers galore....Wash ruled

Fleury is a window screen...nobody will play in front of him

Yeah I watched the game. I'm not a fan of fleury. Not when I see other goalies around the league stop everything and the kitchen sink thrown at them. I do think the Pens get sloppy as hell sometimes and trend that way until it starts to hurt them.

That's two in a row. Trending the wrong way.

Definitely a bad trend. Malkin and Boninos line are not clicking well. HBK needs to get back together. Wednesday the Pens looked sloppy on passes and turnovers. When the did rush they did generate good pressure. Hopefully its just a bye week hangover and the team gets back on track

Pens offense looks pretty good. Letang with a goal just 27 seconds in. He did get hurt a few shifts ago though

Offense started good and is sputtering. Down 6-3.
Losing Letang is showing. A tacky call on goalie interference which took all momentum out of the Pens. Refs sucked once again

Yeah. This is not a good thing.

Pens are playing some lazy, ugly hockey. No defense, no offense, no goaltending. I turned the game off when the Wings made it 4-3. Knew it was over at that point. Turned out, there was more ugliness to be had. Glad I changed the channel.

Malkin's half-assing has infected the whole team. They are just going through the motions, coasting.

How soon can we trade Fleury?

I just talked with a Penguins writer, and she told me that the Pens have zero chance of losing any of their goalies this year. I was worried for Murray, but he doesn't have enough seasons played. Same as their minor league goalies. They are all safe because they need at least 2 full seasons played in the league. Murray would be at 1 1/2. Then Fluery is safe because he has a no trade clause. So no goaltenders are eligible for the expansion draft.

That was a sigh of relief for me!

Then she is wrong... there are more qualifiers than just nhl seasons played... ie sundqvist is supposedly eligible despite having less than two years in the nhl... pens writers are typically not the brightest bulbs... their track record on such stuff is abysmal... murray will be eligible for the draft. And regardless you cannot play two number one goalies.. its never worked in the nhl... its far past time for fkuery to get a fresh start elsewhere... his play has been subpar this year... and we must make space for jarry at some point...sad to say it but MAF wont be here past tge deadline....

I will have a cow if we lose Murray and keep maf.

Me too. We could rework his contract, cut him, etc. It's too big a loss to have Murray taken. It has to be fixed.

I finally get to see some Pens games on national tv and they get clobbered 3 times in a week.

Murray will remain a Pen. MAF is running his course as a Pen. Loved the guy growing up, but he's costing the team. I don't want to blame one player for yesterdays loss. But MAF was a key component in that loss. Is it possible to trade MAF?

It's easy to feel a bit nerve wrecked on a 3 game losing streak, but not gonna panic in January. Luckily the rags lost to keep the Pens in 3rd. I don't care about 1st place/presidents trophy bullshit. Just bring Lord Stanley back to the Burgh

Pens making a comeback. Down 3-0. Tied 3-3. Hate these games :p
