I'm talking in terms of aggressive forechecking, battling Ovie against the boards. Take him away from the wing side shot, Caps will have to rely on Backstrom and Williams. Pens can create turnovers. Let Ovie and Oshie play chase. The Pens offense can skate past their defense all night.

MAF can make the saves. I think that will be up to the defense in front of him. He did well in the last series. The defense needs to just clear pucks and get the O get moving.
If the guys cannot clear and allow Wash to set up---It will be a long series. Wash has the firepower. If the D just clears, get the puck to center ice---I expect an easier series than CBJ. Speed exposed Wash that much. Toronto was not a good puck possession/play set up team like the Pens
 
To me, MAF is the X-Factor in this series. If we get 2009 MAF or last year before he was injured MAF, I think we win in 7. If we get any other MAF, I think it is Caps in 6.

Looks like the Pens are giving a "feel"

I think the Pens break this game open in the 2nd and 3rd
 
Hope the Craps continue with their hitting and they get worn down by the 3rd period. We've seen this show before. Pens bide their time and skate circles around them.

Agreed. The Pens don't look intimidated at all. I like Rust taking chances.

Malkin-Kessel-Rust look pretty good. I like Malkin's skating.

Did you guys catch Pierre saying Sullivan ripped into Bonino's line. This team is hungry for a repeat. I'm liking the Pens chances. And you're right Dj. They do not look intimidated at all
 
Yes. Malkin's nose for the puck looks real tonight.
 
Ottawa is not the same with that heel injury to Karlson. His skating isn't as crisp.

With Ottawa, my main concern is Methot going after Crosby. But aside from that. The Pens take that series.

NYR. They are the Pens ***** at the moment. I like Rick Nash, Zuccarello and Kreider. Hard nosed hockey players. But they don't fit the Rangers trying to build a speedier team. Zuccarello is fast. But that team is still without an indentity cause they don't have the tools

Away from the Pens I'd like to see Nashville or Edmonton win it. But our boys are still in it. So screw those guys

Ottawa played the Pens tough in the reg season, but if they get past the Rags, they will be worn down and vice versa. The Caps/Pens will beat either team up pretty good. It's almost like the appetizer before the SFC for the winner of this series.

Pens look pretty good. They are playing their game. Cliche, but they are.

Nashville looks legit. I've been following them around this season. They had injuries to key guys like us. They are a team who can play a speed game. Their strength is their defensemen. That injury to Fiala though---I'm not sure who'll replace him
