2016-2017 Pens----Still with 100% more Kessel

If he comes out and plays the way he's capable of ... creating scoring chances; if not scoring himself, playing close to the net and requiring that his linemates meet his level of effort, it's a Pens win.
Of course we'd all like to see them executing that fast, chip and chase style of play that they used so well last season. However, we've only seen that sporadically this year and I'm wondering if they're not able to generate it for a majority of a game this year for some reason. In any event, I think Sid comes out fired up and pushes/drags this team to a win tonight!

Pretty good eye. The Pens advantage is speed. The puck movement is meant to open up offensive scoring chances from all 5 guys. Especially the centers and wingers.

That's why you'll see guys like Guentzel, Sheary, Rust, Hagelin get chances. The speed opens up a ton for Sid, Malkin, Cullen and Bonino.
Sid needs a BIG game though. Malkin too.
 
Does Malkin have a case of the yips or what? He looks as bad as I have seen him play. Not sure what is going on with him, but I hope he soon gets over it.
 
Wilson out there headhunting ... no penalties being called. Two penalties against the Pens already. NHL having the refs put in work tonight.
 
1 - 0 craps ... Early disparity in penalties takes it's toll.
 
Pens not looking too good. Washington sure playing like they want it.

Don't know if Sullivan has ever cursed his team the **** out ... but intermission would be a good time to start. They're out there sleepwalking through PPs. Malkin had two clear shots that he wouldn't pull the trigger on. smh
 
Ugly 1st. Thank God only a 1 goal lead. I expect a different team in the 2nd period. Still feeling the good vibes. Sometimes the reward starts fugly. Don't fret Pens fans

And Malkin had three chances to shoot that ****. Frustrating but I think the Pens are playing too "emotional"
 
Not gonna win doing what they are doing. I don't know what to say. It is like Washington has the Pens figured out. They are out scoring the Pens 4-0 over the last 2 periods of hockey.
 
The Pens don't look like the fast and furious team in previous games. Something is up with them. They need to pick up the desperation in the 2nd.

I think it's over...They blew the chance to close this series out and move on in the 3rd period the other night...Washington wants it more than the Penguins and you can see it.

I hope I am wrong but I doubt it...
 
If they don't stay out of the penalty box, this game will be over sooner than later. We really have no fire. I do think the Caps have the Pens figured out. Sully, work your magic!
