Why is Jeff Locke in the rotation?

Hell, why is Jeff Locke on the team??
 
**** Jeff Locke and **** the Pirates for losing to Atlanta.
 
Yeah not getting any hits after the 2nd inning against a rookie and a parade of relievers from a now 38-69 team has to be a big letdown.

Yah its pretty disgusting..they cant ever hit rookies. Its like the Steelers not beating garbage teams.
 
Swept by the Brewers then lose 2 of 3 to the worst team in baseball. I think it's safe to say season over and if any of you homers say otherwise, you need to get your head examined.

I think so too. Tough season, high expectations. Still time. But they gotta win
 
They are still in the herd for the 2nd wildcard but I don't see them overtaking the Cards to get it. The race for the wildcard might prove to be the most interesting leading up to October.
 
Taillon throws 8 shutout innings with 3 hits in Pirate 4-0 win. They bungled the starting pitching this year, but are setting up to have quite
a staff next year: Cole, Taillon, Glasnow, Kuhl, ?. If they could spend the Liriano money on a legit #3, we would be pretty solid with Glasnow
and Kuhl as #4 & #5.
 
Cutch just made the catch of the year and no one is awake to see it Lol.
 
I watched it. was pretty sweet
 
Tallion had a solid outing. Kang and Cutch heating up. Kang with a game winning dinger to Straight Away Center in the 8th.
 
They should have a dental day promotion at the ballpark today. The pitching matchup is Nova-Cain.
 
McCutchen is starting to return, key hits in 3 straight games. If Cole gets straightened out as well, this could still end up an interesting year.
 
Last night might have been the most frustrating game of the season so far. Rivero didn't have it at all frittering away a 2 run lead in the 8th. Too bad Cervelli didn't pull the ball more, he would have had a homer in the 8th if he did not hit to the deepest part of the park, and it's disheartening Cutch ended the game that way. For those that didn't see it, in the 9th with 1 out and runners on 2nd and 3rd with the Bucs down 1, the Marlins intentionally walk Marte to get to Cutch...who promptly hits into a 5-3 game ender. That would have been unfathomable with 2010-2015 Cutch, but something isn't right with him this season, especially at home.
 
Yah that was a rough one last night. Thought for sure they would at least tie it. Instead Cutch killed us..
 
Rivero should have been pulled. Cutch did hurt us, but he had been hitting almost 360 since the all star break with runners in scoring position. The way the game was going you could almost feel they were going to lose, but it was a rough one
 
Losing 2 to the Marlins at home ... me thinks the Bucs are done.

McCutchen is playing so bad it's almost as if he wants to be traded. Think he has personal issues going on?

Bench him, put Marte in center, Palanco in right and platoon Rodriguez/Frazier/Joyce in left.

What do I care? They're done for the season anyway.
