2018-19 Penguins and NHL Offseason

Man this game is just a carbon copy of the last 3. They look so lost you would swear these guys are a young inexperienced team.
 
For those with the Pens App or can pick up the radio feed, Mike Lange is going to call in in a few minutes. Wouldn't be surprised if he calls it a career this year....

I'm still stunned how horrible the crowd was Sunday. I realize I'm a bit over the top as a Pens fan but these golf clapping, leave early, so called fans don't appreciate what they have had. 13 Straight years of being in the playoffs, 5 Cups, two back to backs, two era's of generation talents. We'll be there tonight, loud and supporting..

We're a great franchise overall. Sometimes stuff doesn't happen like we wish.
The Pens losing tonight doesn't bother me too much really. I'm trying to enjoy what is probably the last 40 minutes of the 2018/2019 Pens.

They are being outcoached. Take away Crosby and Malkin and pressure the D through forechecking.
Along with speed is nullifying any chance our wingers can get on a puck cleanly

This is what was so special about the last 2 cups. You had lines that could grind it out. Now because of Rutherford you can take out Crosby and Malkin and the Pens are done. They don't grind for pucks and they don't like to dump and chase. Those 2 cups came because of good defense and grinding lines that could score goals without fancy passing.
 
Geez if they can somehow quit shooting themselves in the foot and quit turning the puck over with stupid passes, that will go a long way to keep it close If they can do that and then smother Eberle, they might have a chance. I don't think they have it in them though. The Malkin/Kessel line is basically inept and the #1 line is getting smothered. The 3rd and 4th lines are likely going to have to produce a couple goals if the season is going to carry on.
 
The Pens can't even get out of their own zone. They just keep turning the puck over and when they do get it out they spending about 3 seconds in the offensive zone before they are back on defense.

Same game different day.

Start out good, then lthe defense crumbles and leaves the net front wide open and Murray a sitting duck

Fancy pants passing not getting in
 
Didn't think you could lay on a guy and punch him without a penalty either

Had band practice, too. Got home to see a TO and the Isles 2nd goal. I thought they were replaying one of the first three games of this series. Another goal should send the crowd into the night.

Pens still have a goal or two to give up to match the last two game... I have faith they can do it though.
 
Isles need to just put us out of our misery.
2018/2019 was not a good season hockey wise.

Glad we got the FL guys.
Pens need to find an identity this off season, to build around Crosby

It wouldn't be so bad if the first 3 game would have actually been close.
 
Man they are not calling A TON of **** right now. They have to score the next 2 goals. Nothing short of that wins this game.

I'm pretty sure I've seen this ending already.

Yeah, I'm pissed about being swept 2 years removed from a cup following a mediocre season ... can't imagine the anger their fans are feeling.
