Detroit was playing with house money for quite a while anyway. Those guys had practice squad players at a few positions on the defense and they were down to second and third string at others. It was going to catch up to them eventually.
Doesn’t help when your offense gives them five extra possessions via turnovers. Anyway, congrats to Washington. They earned it.

The Chiefs ranked only 15th in scoring during the regular season and did not exactly light up the scoreboard yesterday.
They're kind of giving the league a master class in how to continue to contend once their QB is occupying a lot of cap space.
The key is to draft well defensively and to have the coaching to complement and maximize the talent on the roster, which the Chiefs obviously have with Reid and Spagnuolo
People who are expecting the Bills or Ravens to go into Kansas City and beat them are assuming a lot. The Chiefs still have the best QB, defense and coaching of the three teams.
Speaking of winning with defense, they beat the Ravens 17-10 in last year's AFC title game.

Historically speaking I agree. That said, no one is playing better than Baltimore on either side of the ball right now. But, any given Sunday, I guess.
Arrowhead is a tough place to win for any visiting team. Add to that the affinity for referees to protect Mahomes like he is Fort Knox personified and it gets harder yet. Still, if Baltimore gets past Buffalo I like their chances.

The best players have always gotten more calls, and it's that way in all the major sports. In baseball, the best hitters and pitchers get more leniency with the strike zone. In the NBA, players get called for fouling the top guys if they merely breathe on them too hard.
The NFL is obviously going to go out of its way to protect Mahomes. He's one of its top stars in a QB-dependent sport. Who the **** wants to watch Carson Wentz under center for the Chiefs?
They lost pretty much everyone on the D this year I think.

Id rather watch Carson Wentz than know the game is kinda fixed from the word go. I absolutely hate the rules protecting QB’s, especially when they only apply to certain QB’s. It’s a farce.

I meant we have good enough talent to run a way better schemed offense than what we are currently running. Our Steelers Team Offense is being handcuffed by the lame scheme / conservative approach that is currently being used.
In no way was I saying we have the Coaching or schematics to run a better offense than what was being played on TV game last night.

We take the game much more seriously than NFL. They don't care if the final product is corrupt as long as they keep getting bigger checks from broadcasters and advertisers

The Post-Gazette did a roster review and what will likely or potentially happen in the off season and I’m thinking the Steelers will go through a rebuilding year or two. Too many needs and too much wasted cap money. If I had to guess, they’re headed for a losing season and a high draft pick in 2025.

They remind me of the Steelers of the mid to late 90's
It's a very good roster with an adequate quarterback, but no franchise quarterback exists. Coupled with a meathead rah-rah coach who drives them to overachieve.
Where the Detroit Meathead is stuck on stupid with "Go For it", Cowher played the percentages of the game at the time.
