A Tomlin special - is ANYBODY surprised by this embarrassing outing?

Getting routed at home by a miserable 2-10 Cardinals team that has not won a game on the road in A YEAR, and gave up 37 points last week AT HOME, then flew 1800 miles to administer this ***-kicking.

Getting the least from a team - the Mike Tomlin specialty.
We know who Mikey Sunglasses is and we know what his teams are like. We will have another Not Losing Season TM or Make the Playoffs by the skin of our teeth and get eliminated in the first round. Thats what Tomlin coached teams do. We wasted the prime meat of Ben Rothlisberger's career under Tomlin.

And are wasting Pickett's development also. You see what other teams are doing with young QB's with their O and what we are doing with ours and you have to simply wonder how and owning can be happy with what they are seeing. It is a shame that nobody in the media is talking or writing about this **** show.

If I was a Steelers coach I would start looking for job openings. Because at some point they need to clean house.

Tomlin is not as good as media hypes him to be

this is what happens when your HC is walking into the locker room after barely beating a bad Bengals team and says “play my song.” Tomlin believes his own hype, he believes the media headlines of “coach of the year.” He’s such a fraud of a coach. He’s done so little with great talent his entire career.

It’s no longer fun to watch a team coached by Tomlin.

How these guys still can’t line up or make adjustments is baffling.

Tomlin gets love in the media but I wish someone would step up and ask him the tough questions.
I'm sure Missi Matthews, Labriola or Pompiani(spelling?) are getting those questions on a notepad as we speak:ROFLMAO: Seriously though, I'll bet that if the Steelers were ever to grow a pair and part ways with Mikey the wailing and gnashing of teeth from ESPN and the TV talking head jockocracy would be unbearable.

And to those who pose that silly question "who out there is better?" I say maybe it's not about better, but different. Someone who can't or won't come up with cute sayings, but understands how to hire a competent staff, who is competent at game management....that would be a start.

As for Tomlin I'm sure he's a great guy, family guy that no one has anything bad to say about. So, maybe a team like the Jets who are so bad that consistent .500 teams with the occasional playoff appearance and quick exit sounds very appealing to them would have him...have at it hoss.

The Jets standard is not the Steeler standard, and the Steeler standard is not the Tomlin standard as his " body of work" shows. He's put it on tape, we've all seen it...time to move on Mr. Rooney.

I think it’s a real possibility the Steelers lose three of the next four.

That would put them at 8-8 going into the finale against Baltimore, with Mikey needing the win to keep alive the most amazing and irrelevant streak ever devised ...

We may have to hire a medium to get John Facenda to narrate the thrilling contest.

[NFL Films music (bum-da-da-bum-da-da-bum-bum-bum-bum-bum) Facenda voice] "It was a Ravens team sitting all their regulars against a team out of the playoff picture, but that does not tell the true tale. The consecutive-non-losing-season-streak, an epic accomplishment, was on the line. Mike Tomlin, universally acknowledged as one of the greatest coaches ever to patrol the sideline, pulled out all the stops. He played Minkah Fitzpatrick despite a broken hand, and TJ Watt despite a nagging ankle injury, and set them loose on 3rd string QB Josh Johnson, making his first start. Johnson was electric, putting up 234 yards and two TD's but the Steelers were in the game due to Coach Harbaugh's decision to rest even kicker Justin Tucker. The resulting kickoffs out of bounds, missed field goals and missed extra points made the game a close affair at 18-17 with 2:21 on the clock when Mason Rudolph stepped under center and led a 9 play, 31-yard drive highlighted by a circus catch by George Pickens, leading to a thrilling last-second field goal by none other than Justin Tucker. Tucker explained he was bored being held out and granted a kid's Make-A-Wish request with the game winner. Tucker emotionally pointed out, 'That young man and the Steelers are both special needs victims who deserve today's win.' Coach T's legendary streak continued and he was upbeat in the post-game presser despite learning that both Fitzpatrick and Watt would miss a substantial portion of 2024 due to playing in the contest."

When a running back says we took them lightly you need to look at the head coach and his tyle of coaching. No music played after this game. You need to question coaches and the heart of this team. to they care.

One more year on his contract so it will be interesting if they do miss the playoffs after being pretty much in the drivers seat if Art gives Shades an extension.
Man would that be a bad look and send the wrong message if Art did, but if not Shades comes back as a lame duck coach.
Thought it was telling that he didn’t get an extension prior to this season since he always did with two years left. Maybe just maybe Art is not as content with shades as we all think. Also, have to wonder when Art’s son will start getting more involved.
What Warren said about taking this game too lightly is a direct reflection on the HC. Preparation and readiness and knowing how to exploit a teams weakness, making sure your team doesn’t get too over confident and not overlook their next opponent.
I’ve been saying all year that this football team needs a hard reset after this season. Clean house from Tomlin on down. Time for a new start!

How is it possible that no reporter asks this:Mike, Watt was noticeably limping and ineffective down 14 points and you play Thursday. You've had multiple injuries to key players today. What was the thought process leaving him in today.

So, I'm watching the Pack and Chiefs. Still waiting to see a 12 men on the field, or a tackle uncovered, or lining up in the neutral zone penalty. It doesn't happen.

Hmmm

Dont worry,, mike will have them in pads for some hitting practices this week to straighten them up for Thursday... Wasnt that his solution before?

Individual effort from guys like Watt and Highsmith. We win in spite of this coaching staff.
Where was that talent today? Surely they (the players who win in spite of the coaching) should excel over inferior talent. Not disagreeing that this has become a trend, but it’s lazy analysis to place it all on one individual. I’d love to know what does (doesn’t) happen in the lead-up to these games.

I love that you hear all week how we aren't taking them lightly...they are dangerous and then BOOM!!!!!. They kick our ***.
It does seem like they take these opponents lightly. How can you do that when history is looking you in the face though… I guess the same way that players talk trash before a game (looking at you Pat P.) when they know they’re just going to have to eat crow.

Still a chance that they finish 7-10

It's a national TV game. Steelers always show up for those. The pats offense is historically bad. I actually think they are tanking. Not the players, but i wouldn't be surprised if Belichick is holding back just to lose and get a QB.
So after the Pats accidentally get an early FG they are going to have to give us 2 safeties to protect their chance at a top 2 QB in the draft? 😅

4-3 Stillers, duh winning T biscuit and Tomlin style

I’ve heard this waaaayyy to many times under the MT regime
There’s a reason he has more losses to .500 and under teams than any other coach in history

Happens waaayyyy too frequently with the extreme bottom feeders too

Pittsburgh has a history of playing down or up to whomever they are playing. We can’t put a team away, it’s a nail biter, usually. What is Tomlin’s salary per year 11million?

I had a dream that Tepper called Rooney inquiring about Tomlin. They arrange a trade. I woke up at that point, elated.
It was only a dream.
