Pittsburgh Steelers Wide Receiver Antonio Brown has been sued, accused of nearly hitting a 22-month-old child with furniture during an alleged incident in April.
According to the lawsuit, filed by Ophir Sternberg on behalf of the child in August, the alleged incident happened at about 10:30 a.m. on April 24.
The lawsuit says the child was walking with his grandfather near the pool at The Mansions at Acqualina, , when large objects started to fall from the building many floors above them and crashed to the ground.
Those objects included two larges vases, a heavy ottoman and other pieces of furniture.
According to the lawsuit, one of the vases shattered upon hitting the ground.
It’s claimed in the lawsuit that this all happened about a foot or two from the plaintiff and his grandfather.
The lawsuit says the child was terror-stricken and ran away, traumatized, crying for hours and unable to sleep. The child has since shown signs of fear and anxiety.
The lawsuit goes on to say Brown caused damage to the unit he was in, was agitated and acted aggressively, even yelling at security.
The lawsuit also says there is surveillance video linked to the alleged incident.
Brown has not publicly responded to the lawsuit.
Sternberg is seeking more than $15,000 in damages.
