Yea, we all know: AB is a whackadoodle. He's just nuts. However, the writer said he was making sense on this claim.

AB claimed it was obvious this team wasn't going to win a Super Bowl. Was he right? Was Tomlin just over-his-head and was it obvious?
Say what you will but Brown isn’t wrong. Head coach Mike Tomlin and the front office never got the most out of the roster and while we loved the numbers Brown put up with Ben Roethlisberger at quarterback but this group while Brown was on the team grossly underachieved.

Brown probably isn't wrong about the team not winning a Superbowl, even if he stayed or Ben didn't blow his elbow out after he left.

However, let's be honest. Brown threw a fit and forced his way out because Juju was taking production from him and was named team MVP.

He also wanted a new contract after just signing one because Julio Jones and Jarvis Landry started earning more than him after signing theirs. The Steelers refused.

His ego could not accept either thing.

The Raiders weren't going to win a SB either.
And he didn't contribute much for NE or Tampa Bay even though he got his ring.
I don't remember his reasoning at the time for leaving the Steelers but not being a SB team doesn't ring a bell.

Screw AB! He’s dead to me.. When you think of Steelers greats like Stautner, Russell, Ham, Green, Lambert, Bradshaw, Harris, Woodson and so so many more, this dick wad is not among those greats. They were true Steelers and everything it meant to be a Steeler. There’s no room for that selfish *******.

I don't think it had anything to do with what the team was doing or would do in the future. AB was all about AB, the only thing important to him was his stats, and not wins or losses.
This! Remember the ridiculous consecutive catches/yards crap we had to hear every week and Ben had to try and force to keep it going? **** AB. He left because of JuJu plain n simple.

100%

AB was all about AB. He was on his third team after the Steelers before he got lucky in Tampa.

He's worse that a politician with his bullshit.

It would be nice if he just said yeah,I acted like a self centered horses *** who pouted like a child when JuJu took some of his thunder.

Yeah of course the team wasn't going anyplace great because they had self absorbed asshats like him.

As a Steelers fan, I'm kind of torn regarding Brown.

His attitude was obviously terrible, but he was such a great player not just in the context Steelers history, but league history.

Really only Jerry Rice ever had a six year stretch comparable to the one Brown had between 2013-2018.

It is questionable whether a team can win it all when one of its most valuable players is as selfish as Brown was, but given how much he typically dominated on game day, something tells me he was far from the main reason the Steelers underachieved so much in the 2010's

That's why I surprised the writer gave much credence to AB's thinking on this.

Yea the same HC who hasn't won a single playoff game in 7 years was here all that time.

And many would say they lacked a HC who could keep the asshats in line.

You guys have it all wrong——————————-

He is “identifying” as a Super Bowl Champion, something he wasn’t back then.
