An Intelligent Organization Would start Rudolph 10/10.

Mason Rudolf doesn't have half the Football IQ as Ben, half the arm talent....even at Ben's age, a quarter of Ben's toughness and elusiveness in the pocket, and an 1/8th of presence on the field as Ben...but you ******* want to start him cause...cause...well...cause...He isn't Ben?

Put down the Doobie and let go of the computer mouse. Eat your Cheetos and head up to bed. you ******* are delusional.
Ben has a sub 80 passer rating and they average 15 offensive points a game. He has thrown 4Tds in 4 games. Your hyperbole is bullshit.

ben may be done but rudy still sucks ***
It would be difficult, but I think Rudy has it in him to suck more than Ben. Although, more suck make be better for us because every game we win cripples us for the future. We need to blow *** for 3 years to dump Tomlin and stockpile picks.

**** that

I am not starting ****** qb just to dump games

You people who write off a young QB based on a handful of starts and mostly garbage time play can **** off. We drafted the kid. Give him a legitimate chance to learn and see what he can be. Josh Allen wasn’t great in his first year and look at him now. Not saying he will be anywhere near a Josh Allen, but the point is that WE DON’T KNOW YET! His career passer rating is still higher than Ben’s through the first 4 games. What we do know is that Ben is done. His arm is ruined and can even hit a 5-yard crossing route accurately, Let’s vet Mason now in hopes for a fruitful offseason one way or the other. Thanks Ben. You are the best Steeler QB ever.

I don't know where Kenny Pickett from Pitt is projected to be drafted, but he looks pretty damn good to me. Accurate, mobile, tough, and unafraid to throw the deep ball. Everything Ben used to be, but isn't anymore.

Do you think the Steelers will be able to make an assessment of any quarterback when the O-line unlocks the turnstiles every time opposition defenders want to go through to the quarterback?

I think Mason will make a decision to go to a receiver and trust him to make the catch and hopefully put the ball where it’s supposed to be. Ben is doing neither of these things and even his dump offs are ff target. He just isn’t throwing accurately and is trying to improvise when he may not need to.

I take it that you're pretty pissed off after the loss. lol.

No I'm pissed they pushed a bunch of salary down the road for this. They didn't just ruin this year by bringing Ben back.
Ben's payments last through 2022 so it isn't all that dire. Sure, it was a bad decision to bring Ben back apparently, but the Steelers have always been pretty damn loyal and don't particularly like "change" so this shouldn't be surprising. Maybe Mason or Dwayne provides a spark of energy but neither of them are even remotely at Ben's level, bum arm or not. If the Steelers sit Ben and either of them turn the offense around, I'll apologize to you personally and admit I was wrong. That's a promise.

Ben's level right here and now is seemingly the difference of opinion. Statistically it is producing less points than the Duck Rudy season of fail. So that level of play is seemingly at a all time low.

I watched that last play from the All-22 angle and every receiver running a route in the red zone was blanketed. There was absolutely nothing available even if Ben didn't hit Harris in the backfield.
It didn't much matter because that was the play they called. That was Ben's first read. He wasn't dumping it off. They should have had other options and just like on the 4th down yesterday, you don't throw behind the LOS when you need almost 10 yards to get a TD or first down. Those are ******* dumbass plays being called by our dumbass O coordinator. Those dump-offs should be very, very last resorts and not the first option.

Don’t be stupid. Mason hasn’t had the opportunity to play with a decent group. He was drafted to replace Ben and he should get a fair shot. At this point, he can’t possibly be worse than what Ben is puking onto the gridiron…
Mason Sucks. We've seen what it looks like, and it was ugly. I liked Duck better than Mason. We don't have a Qb on this team that is better than Ben. Even a cooked Ben is better than Rudolph.

What was your opinion of Mason's week 17 performance last season in Cleveland? We all saw what happened the game after that when he was on the sidelines.

He's currently not in the top 11 QBs projected to be drafted one place and is 9th on another site. He can still rise, but as of now he'd be 5-7th round at best and likely a priority free agent.

According to espn this week, He is in the running for the heisman and is moving up the draft list… if he keeps doing what he is doing he will be a low to mid first round pick

The key point is going to be that he is 6’3” in a year when a lot of the big name qbs are 6’1” or smaller

Pickett should not be our pick, but pitt qbs get favorable looks in the nfl, and he is currently crushing marinos records…

Pickett is a fifth year guy who made the right choice in coming back… even with the combine workout he could have, he would have been a low round pick last year or priority free agent… if he keeps putting up 4-6 tds a game he is going to go a lot higher than that

We were down 24-9 with 8 minutes left in the 4th quarter that game lol. Rudolph's number came from garbage time and throws downfield that Claypool made good plays on. I love how people bring up this one game like he was just lighting up the Brown's defense. He was average, at best and it was ONE game. It's also 10x easier to play when the game has no meaningful impact on your season. Win or lose that game did not matter. Rudolph is garbage.

The more I watch Ben these days, the more I'm starting to think that maybe Mason might indeed be remotely close to Ben's current level. Or beyond it.

One place and another site might want to update their projections. There is no likelihood that Pickett makes it to free agency. None.

Why not?

Rudy is nothing more than a career backup… nothing more.. he was a wasted draft pick if you cant run an rpo you or aren’t making 100m you don’t belong starting in nfl. You have to move the fuking chains! Hook or by crook qbs that can run are a killing it plow horses like Ben not so much he’s looking like Bledsoe before he got put down for romo parcels didn’t want to do it just tomlins doesn’t but put in buckeye take our lumps if he can’t cut it there will be somebody out there next season… but ruby is not a starting qb anymore than Kent graham was if go that direction again I’ll will find something else to do sundays… lived through that already.
