As if Cohen turning on him wasn't enough, now he's got this pecker to deal with. News comes at you fast when a mafia boss is the president.

Very true. You should email that to trump.

While many pictures (and comments) out there are vile, this meme gave me a good chuckle:

The take away here is Pecker will testify against Trump corroborating Cohen's statement under oath about Trump's role in the illegal payments that were made to silence the hookers and to affect the elections. You know, the payments that were deemed to be federal crimes. That's all. It has nothing to do with the Enquirer per se. And by the way, Pecker is a long-time, close friend of Trump's, at least he was up until now. Ouch.

Looking forward to Trump's 'snitches will get stitches' tweet any minute now. Like he said on FoxNews this morning, that they shouldn't allow criminals to 'turn' during an investigation (like Cohen did) and cooperate with the prosecution. The ******* President said that, that criminals shouldn't cooperate with law enforcement. Trump is an old-school, bonafide mob boss. The problem is, the SOB is also running the country.

Its very debateable whether the payments are illegal or not.... even my liberal lawyer friends admit that... especially if Trump has a history of paying his adulterous hookups to shut up.... and if he payed them out of his own pocket the best they can get him for is minor bookeeping stuff... again Mueller is stretching in hopes of keeping this going... this just means Cohan was lying about taping trump as extensively as he suggested he did...

How is it debatable if he's been charged of these crimes in federal court and has pleaded guilty?

These are Counts 7 & 8.

Cohen pleaded guilty to all of the charges, including failing to report $4 million in taxes. He said he violated campaign finance laws in coordination with and at the direction of an unnamed candidate — presumably Trump — in coordinating payouts to porn actress Stormy Daniels and former Playboy model Karen McDougal, both of whom alleged to have had affairs with Trump. He said he acted for the purpose of influencing an election.

These Time covers from the past year and a half will be frameable masterpieces by the time this is all said and done. For our children and grandchildren.

Concise breakdown of how Trump lied - and continues to lie - in the face of the American people. Over and over again. The lies have caught up to him in the Cohen case, and will continue to catch up to him. Mafia boss.

Try to follow along Supe, so people don't accuse you of being utterly clueless. :rolleyes1:

Pecker knew all the details regarding Trump instructing Cohen to make illegal payments - which were deemed federal crimes - and is testifying against Trump and corroborating Cohen's sworn testimony. The immunity is because he too would have faced charges for being involved in the illegal hush payments, made with the intent to affect the election. He's recieved immunity in exchange for his cooperation and willingness to testify against Trump. That's why.

sounds rather circumstantial, there, Tiberius.

is Pecker a Russian?

This investigation, from the beginning, was never about Russian collusion. It was always about bringing down the President. If you cannot see this now, you are just plain stupid. The Mueller investigation is doing more harm to the Republic than the Russians could ever do. Dark days ahead.

Tibs...paying hush money is not a crime.

Would you listen to law professor Dershowitz?

And the Mueller team seems to be winning because the POTUS can't shut up or stop tweeting, and that Giuliani seems like he's getting senile. Get some different advisors Mr. President.

There have been a couple long-time Democrat legal experts saying that it's not a crime. They must be part of the Trump Crime Syndicate.

Alan Dershowitz: Michael Cohen ‘Pleading Guilty to a Crime that Doesn’t Exist

Harvard Law School Professor Emeritus Alan Dershowitz said Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump’s former attorney, is “pleading guilty to a crime that doesn’t exist” to further Democrats’ plans to impeach the president.

“I don’t think there’s an impeachable offense,” said Dershowitz. “I believe you need to have a specific crime — treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors — and none of the things that [Michael] Cohen pleaded guilty to would rise to that level or even come close to it. What Cohen pleaded guilty to may not even be a crime, the part about the election campaign laws.”

https://www.breitbart.com/radio/201...ty-crime-doesnt-exist-democrats-target-trump/

From that article:

Dershowitz continued, “Even if it’s true that President Trump contributed $280,000 for the explicit purpose of paying hush money in order to prevent the public from knowing that he had these alleged affairs with these two women, that would simply not be a crime. It might be a political sin, but it would not be a crime.”

Dershowitz advised political observers to maintain scrutiny when consuming “media … that is part of the posse of ‘let’s get Trump at all costs.'”

“There’s a hard question about whether any crime has been committed at all,” stated Dershowitz.

Dershowitz maintained that payment for a non-disclosure agreement from a candidate’s personal funds is entirely lawful. Mark Levin echoed this analysis on Tuesday.

Dershowitz explained, “A candidate can give contributions [to his campaign]. So even if it’s true that the only purpose was to help his campaign — obviously it had multiple purposes; it was obviously designed to also prevent embarrassment to his family, his wife, his children, and all that — but even if you could show, even if he had a memo saying, ‘I want you, my lawyer, to pay $80,000. I’ll pay you back. It’s my campaign contribution, and I want it to be hush money in order to help me be elected president,’ no crime. No crime.”

Dershowitz added, “You don’t charge people with a crime when the law is vague.

And Trump has a history of paying hush money. I think this is another nothing-burger the Liberals/MSM are going to fight tooth & nail that it is a federal crime, but IMO the POTUS really needs to focus on laying low, focus on his job & hope the mid-terms & Kavanaugh turn out okay for the Reps. The optics right now don't look good at all so I hope someone convinces him going on Fox & Friends or tweeting in the middle of the night isn't doing him any favors.

Trump had no idea how he would get attacked. It's a new thing. He will continue to get **** done. It's amazing, and incredibly disappointing. You libs suck. There is no hope for you, no common ground.

LOL, ain't that the truth?

Tibs, your spiking the political football is hilarious.

This past week has been the worst of Trump's Presidency admittedly. But when the media hysteria dies down, and the legal system is left to deal with this, it will just be another nothingburger.

And here is the sobering truth............this is all Mueller has. After two years of thinly veiled political witch hunting, and millions in taxpayer money, he has a flimsy campaign violation. That is it. No Russian collusion bombshells, that would have Joy Behar peeing her panties. This is it.

It is done. We have two people charged with crimes that wouldn't even had existed without this probe. Mueller needed some scalps, so he went out and created some. We have a bunch of Russian ghosts that may exist, or not. Great. Manafort and Cohen goin down! Great.

That's all he has got. All at the expense of further dividing this nation. Well done.

By all means Hamster, please release the report of the final findings. Oh and it's 18 months, not years unlike years of Hillary's. I'm just curious why you're keeping these findings to yourself and not releasing them for the public to see since it's done. Did you whine so much with Hillary's Benghazi and email investigation "nothing burgers?" As long as the liar in chief keeps flapping his useless gums, the division of this nation will keep growing and the investigation is ongoing, you have no clue what Mueller has. Those are the facts you can't seem to digest. When you go on about what people know and don't know and then shout off your mouth like only what you say is fact, you lose all credibility.

Trust me, I'm not celebrating anything. Just think it's funny - in a dark humor kind of way - that Trump's most trusted personal attorney for over a decade, someone who said he'd 'take a bullet' for Donny, the mob boss, ends up whistling like a friggin' bird. You're right that nothing's stuck to Trump yet, these are just lesser dominos that have begun to fall. What you're wrong about is that we know anything definitive as far as Mueller's overall investigation. Besides the fact he's succeeding in finding a bunch of key witnesses guily on other charges, who are all facing serious jail time and thus, have become cooperating witnesses. So lean back and relax at your own discretion, if you think Trump is out of the woods.
