And it Begins:Special Prosecutor To Investigate Trump And Russia

BAM!

Greg Craig, former president Barack Obama‘s very first White House counsel, has retained a lawyer of his own. The move comes as federal prosecutors in the Southern District of New York (SDNY) weigh charges against Craig and other high-profile Democratic Party influence peddlers after special counsel Robert Mueller referred the cases to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in southern Manhattan.

Looks like Mueller is finally on the right track.

Mueller referred Craig to the SDNY. If he was interested in squeezing any Clinton juice, he would be prosecuting himself, like he did with Manafort. He had no business prosecuting that case as it was not related at all to his "investigation", but in plain sight he used it to coerce some sort of cooperation by dangling plea deals. He'll dump off any Clinton/Obama related dirt to someone else

Originally I thought Mueller prosecuted Cohen, but he did refer that one.

Ha ha ha! Lots of butt clenching, sweating, whining and teeth gnashing going on right now.

At the request of a number of committees of Congress, and for reasons of transparency, the President has directed the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the Department of Justice (including the FBI) to provide for the immediate declassification of the following materials: (1) pages 10-12 and 17-34 of the June 2017 application to the FISA court in the matter of Carter W. Page; (2) all FBI reports of interviews with Bruce G. Ohr prepared in connection with the Russia investigation; and (3) all FBI reports of interviews prepared in connection with all Carter Page FISA applications.

In addition, President Donald J. Trump has directed the Department of Justice (including the FBI) to publicly release all text messages relating to the Russia investigation, without redaction, of James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, and Bruce Ohr.

I don't know why President Trump waited this long.

To nobody's surprise, Trump crosses yet another red line and helps Mueller build his case against him. No wonder his lawyers bailed on him in droves. He's out of control, reckless and the living, walking definition of being 'his own worst enemy.' Suffice to say nothing that happens to Trump down the road won't be - at least partially - his own doing. It's like he's begging Mueller to throw the book at him and put him out of his misery.

What? Exposing the truth is a bad thing? If inept and corrupt Mueller had done his job properly this wouldn't be necessary. Trump should order Mueller's texts to be released too.

The bottom line is the FBI doesn’t get to stonewall congress... they were intentionally delaying until post election in hopes of dems burying these documents.... this is exactly what tge repubs wanted all along... now if they refuse to release them they can gut the entire department without needing explaining because it’s outright insubordination.... now the Dems have to defend a month of very damaging narratives that should emboldened the republican base

Anyone else tired of partisam politics always driving everythin...

Vote em all out... nobody with any government experiance should last more than 2 terms in any position...

What red line? Trump exercising his constitutional right crosses a red line?

Tibs, you need to get your eyes checked. You are not seeing very clearly. As a matter of fact, you have it all backwards.

You've said a mouthful here Indy.

Lawless. He is absolutely lawless. @realDonaldTrump is the subject of an investigation. Using his power to selectively release classified information is an abuse of power. His days of unchecked abuse are numbered. Tick tock. We will just mark this as another exhibit.

This is an especially dangerous abuse of power by this President. He places his self interest above the national security interests of the country.

Well, did you know about EO 13526? Oh yeah.

Sec. 1.7. Classification Prohibitions and Limitations. (a) In no case shall information
be classified, continue to be maintained as classified, or fail to
be declassified in order to:
(1) conceal violations of law, inefficiency, or administrative error;
(2) prevent embarrassment to a person, organization, or agency;

(3) restrain competition; or
(4) prevent or delay the release of information that does not require protection
in the interest of the national security.
(b) Basic scientific research information not clearly related to the national
security shall not be classified.

Say it with me Tibs, 21, Red, Twattie (where ever the hell you are :) De-Classify. Yes, the enumerated power given under EO 13526 granted your President provide for him/her :) to declassify, release unredacted, provide for all to review, information that has been hidden to promote a phony narrative designed to obliterate and mislead an unknowing public into trusting a make-believe story. Put forward by fake news media under a template I'm not sure even they believe anymore, all because of criminal inner workings of people at the highest level of our government whom didn't want their sandbox blown to hell. **** 'em all. And they're on both sides of the aisle, make no mistake.

America doesn't have the guts to follow through with what these soon to be sunlit individuals truly deserve, but rotting inside the barbwire beaches at G Bay be just fine. And in the interest of full disclosure I have to add this little particulate of info which is especially warm fuzzy, EO 13526 was a directive of B. Hussein Obama, 12/29/09.

EO 13526 Title 3—The President
Executive Order 13526 of December 29, 2009
Classified National Security Information
This order prescribes a uniform system for classifying, safeguarding, and
declassifying national security information, including information relating
to defense against transnational terrorism. Our democratic principles require
that the American people be informed of the activities of their Government.
Also, our Nation’s progress depends on the free flow of information
both within the Government and to the American people. Nevertheless,
throughout our history, the national defense has required that certain
information be maintained in confidence in order to protect our citizens,
our democratic institutions, our homeland security, and our interactions
with foreign nations. Protecting information critical to our Nation’s security
and demonstrating our commitment to open Government through accurate
and accountable application of classification standards and routine, secure,
and effective declassification are equally important priorities.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, BARACK OBAMA

I have not read through the entire EO yet as lawyer speak bores me (all due respect our SN legal counsel) but the date of it is intriguing as it coincides with the ACA if memory serves. Perhaps more to be learned what a con game was run on America by the big 0.

The American people need to see the documents that prove the investigation is a witch hunt. The dems know it and are scared shitless. From The Daily Caller:

Leading congressional Democrats are looking to stall the process to release documents related to the Russia investigation, which President Donald Trump ordered declassified on Monday.

Reps. Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff and Sens. Chuck Schumer and Mark Warner, sent a letter Tuesday asking Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, FBI Director Christopher Wray and Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats to provide an “immediate briefing” to the Gang of Eight before declassifying and releasing the documents.

The four Democrats expressed “profound alarm” at Trump’s order to declassify the records. Trump ordered the Justice Department and Office of the Director of National Intelligence to begin the process to declassify 21 pages from a June 2017 Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) application taken out against former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.
