And it Begins:Special Prosecutor To Investigate Trump And Russia

Or maybe just to shut them stupid Dems up. After a while all that wailing and screeching get's on your nerves so bad, ya just have to do something, anything to relieve the pain.

Whining has become the new standard of the left, along with labeling an name calling.

Dershowitz is dead on. I've said from the beginning that there is nothing illegal about Russia trying/attempting/succeeding in influencing our election. We, as a country, do the exact same thing. Hell, our news media tries to influence elections all the time and is MUCH more influential and powerful in their ability to do so than Russia ever will be.

Nothing makes sense to me. The outrage doesn't make sense. It's just people that already disliked Trump just piling on accusations of wrongdoing until something hopefully "sticks". They keep hoping the Russia thing will "stick" even though it's been out there since mid-2016. If it's dirty politics, okay... accuse him of dirty politics, but that's not illegal.

The Russia thing is smoke-and-mirrors.

Now, having said all that, the private meeting with Comey is probably the closest thing to "illegal" he's done. Personally, I don't think it rises to "obstruction of justice" but it is always a sticky situation when you are the President talking to the FBI about an investigation into your "circle of friends" however unfounded. But really this is no more sketchy (and honestly I think less so) than that private meeting of Lynch and Clinton on the plane. So the "outrage" expressed by the media is so hard to swallow when they practically called anyone that questioned the Lynch-Clinton meeting as a conspiracy theorist.

It's just politics today. We knew as an outside the beltway power figure, Trump was going to get attacked. But I hoped it wasn't going to as relentless as it's been. The democrats and media are playing about as poor-losers as any time I can remember. But we live in a free speech/free press society so they are allowed to bring it as hard as they want. Just don't cry outrage when the tables are turned.

There is such a lack of evidence in this made-up story by the media & the Dems that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein appointed a special prosecutor to the case simply for ***** and giggles.

Well, to be true, like the article above states, EVERYONE on the left - media, politicians, academia, "intellectual class", socialist foreign leaders - have been putting an enormous amount of pressure on the FBI to find a way to "correct" what all have you have determined to be a mistaken election. That you have to find someway to "correct" what couldn't have possibly happened through the free-will and democratic process of our constitutional election.

You don't think that pressure and influence affects decisions?

Simple question, will you accept - and deem legitimate - the findings of the Robert Mueller led Independent Council?

Honestly Tibs, I don't really trust anything from anyone inside the Washington elite anymore. I really don't. From the left and right. I think the cabal of power inside the beltway has grown to an unconquerable foe. I am resigned to that fact now. It makes me sad that businessman and everyday people can't participate in the process of governance at the federal level. That during the process of "climbing the political ladder" they become corrupted and disillusioned by the process. Or drop out at the utter meat-grinding process it's become.

As I stated before, these "special investigations" normally go on for a long time and end up straying from the original intent/purpose of the investigation. What the "net" will catch, once cast, will certainly bring back dirt. So it's had to say what I think is finally reported will be "legitimate" or not. I'm sure much of it will be factual, but how it will be interpreted and reported by the press? You and I both know that won't have anything to do with facts at all.

They believe everything they read - ha ha!

6 Months Ago: HuffPost Forecasts Hillary Clinton Will Win With 323 Electoral Votes

The HuffPost presidential forecast model gives Democrat Hillary Clinton a 98.2 percent chance of winning the presidency. Republican Donald Trump has essentially no path to an Electoral College victory.

The model projects that she’ll garner 323 electoral votes to Trump’s 215.

Senate Outlook

The Senate is likely to shift to a Democratic majority, with 51 seats, or 50 seats and Tim Kaine as the vice presidential tie-breaker. The HuffPost model says there’s a 66 percent chance Democrats will get 51 or more seats

Wow you sound just like the retard you follow...

Still harping about electoral votes 6 months after the election. Meanwhile Rome burns around him.

Yeah Bill Clinton and Richard Nixon beg to differ.

This is eerily following the Nixon path.

Rosenstein has to go. Swamp dweller. Anytime the press anoints someone as an apolitical straight arrow, you've got trouble

it funny that the Wikileaks guy has said his information didn't come from the Russians. No idea what would motivate him to lie about it.

Everyone is aware, due to the Wikileaks information, that the Dems perpetrated actual fraud or ran right up to the edge on it. Nobody cares.

Because the media is pushing their radical left wing agenda, just like the Dems - watch it blow up in their faces like all the rest of their stupid tricks

Democrats Are Colluding With The Media to Create Chaos

Dr. Camille Paglia is much more worried about the media than about the steady string of Trump-related scandals they claim to be uncovering.

Paglia excoriated the press for its coverage of Trump's decision to fire FBI Director James Comey and his alleged sharing of classified information with Russian officials.

Fresh off a spirited panel with Christina Hoff Sommers hosted by the Independent Women's Forum, the iconic feminist dissident, who serves as a professor of media studies at the University of the Arts, accused journalists of colluding with the Democratic Party in an effort to damage the Trump administration.

"Democrats are doing this in collusion with the media obviously, because they just want to create chaos," she said when asked to comment on the aforementioned stories. "They want to completely obliterate any sense that the Trump administration is making any progress on anything."

"Obama's administration for the first six months was chaos," Paglia recalled. "Bill Clinton's was chaos for six months. Nobody holds that against a new person."

"Those two guys had actually been politicians!" she continued, noting Trump's relative inexperience with government operations.

Paglia's assessment of media bias in the Trump era leaves little room for optimism. "I am appalled at the behavior of the media," she declared. "It's the collapse of journalism."

Paglia, who cast her ballot for Jill Stein last November, is predicting Trump will win re-election in 2020. "I feel like the Democrats have overplayed their hand," she said

Big difference between then and now is that there was actual evidence and not just innuendo.

That was written in 2015. Was that meant for Obama?

That was written in 2015. Was that meant for Obama?

It's not written for any one president, it's a document available to members of Congress which gets updated from time to time, hence the timestamp.

The impeachment process provides a mechanism for removal of the President, Vice President, and other “civil Officers of the United States” found to have engaged in “treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.” The Constitution places the responsibility and authority to determine whether to impeach an individual in the hands of the House of Representatives. Should a simple majority of the House approve articles of impeachment specifying the grounds upon which the impeachment is based, the matter is then presented to the Senate, to which the Constitution provides the sole power to try an impeachment
.
A conviction on any one of the articles of impeachment requires the support of a two-thirds majority of the Senators present. Should a conviction occur, the Senate retains limited authority to determine the appropriate punishment. Under the Constitution, the penalty for conviction on an impeachable offense is limited to either removal from office, or removal and prohibition against holding any future offices of “honor, Trust or Profit under the United States.” Although removal from office would appear to flow automatically from conviction on an article of impeachment, a separate vote is necessary should the Senate deem it appropriate to disqualify the individual convicted from holding future federal offices of public trust. Approval of such a measure requires only the support of a simple majority

Here is the whole document. You may want to read it in detail to stay up to speed on the events that will be transpiring these next few weeks and months.

I'm afraid Pence will go down with the sinking ship. Who's next in line, Paul Ryan? Yikes.

Mike Pence a main player in the coverup of Russiagate

http://deadstate.org/rachel-maddow-nails-mike-pence-as-a-main-player-in-russiagate-coverup/

“When controversies started to swirl around Mike Flynn because of his foreign contacts, Mike Pence bluntly asserted that the Trump transition had not applied for a security clearance for Mike Flynn’s son. They had, actually, applied for a security clearance for Mike Flynn’s son. After [President Trump] fired the FBI Director, Mike Pence bluntly asserted that the decision to fire James Comey was based on a recommendation from the deputy attorney general. The President himself, and reportedly the deputy attorney general now, himself, today have both made clear that was not the reason James Comey was fired. Mike Pence has also bluntly and boldly asserted that James Comey was not fired for anything having anything to do with the Trump-Russia investigation. The President himself now admits that [when he fired Comey] he was thinking about how much he hated that Trump-Russia investigation.

Mike Pence has bluntly asserted that there were no Trump campaign contacts with the Russian government. That is not true. He has bluntly asserted that he had no idea that Mike Flynn had a paid relationship with any country’s foreign government. That would seem to be impossible, given his role in the transition and the number of times and the number of ways that transition was formerly notified, including in writing, of those ties.

And of course, Mike Pence has a starring role in the big unanswered question about Mike Flynn’s time in the White House, which is why did they let him stay on as national security adviser for 18 days after the Justice Department came to the White House and told them that Mike Flynn was compromised by the Russians and was vulnerable to Russian blackmail. Why did he stay on for another 18 days thereafter? The White House’s story is that — well, actually there is no story for that. In the end they said he had to go because he had lied to Mike Pence, But why does a lie to Mike Pence take 18 days to flower before it has any consequences for something as serious as a foreign government having its tentacles that reach far into the upper reaches of the national security chain of command at the top of the U.S. government? … Mike Pence has his own troubles when it comes to this scandal.”

So once more... i hang out in the dive bars and travel in the most blue collar sections of the country... the vast and i mean vast cross-section of swing voter types still hard core support trump and are 100% certain the russia stuff is a joke... last night i watched a truck driver and a few steel workers barrette the one guy in the bar dumping on trump over it... who happened to be the biggest drunk in the bar...

Ill keep saying tge tone deafness of the Dems is whats ******* them... and when they lose big again ill be sure to say i told you so....

In the 90's this russia scare might work... no one gives a **** anymore.. Reading this thread is like reading conservative forums in the 90's when they targeted Clinton for all the wrong reasons and impeched him ... there were better angles that they ignored cause it tied back to tgeir party....

I think this whole thing is an obvious narrative that isn't going to play out as hoped... and it will bring us one step closer to tge civil war brewing here... you can't polarize this country like it is right now... it's borderline a powder keg as is...

"The 80's called and want their foreign policy back", a Nobel Prize winner once said.

This Russia thing is a Dem strategy to win some mid-terms. Then it will go away. Watch.
