and 90% of those pass plays are over the middle of the field. where alot of our posters complain about him not covering. hopefully he gets back to this
 
There were some good ones against the run.

Also, scheme has something to do with it. At times he was a delayed blitzer, had a solid line in front of him, etc.

Maybe it's injury related, scheme related, IDK, but this is the guy I remember cheering for.
 
Yeap, he had some good gap contains, at least two that or three I saw, even commented a couple of them in the game thread. If he plays his assignment instead of trying to react he will be useful again.

He might go the Edmunds way, re-sign on a one year contract to prove your worth to the team and the league.
 
Bush had a decent game but man, some fans want to sign him to a 5 year 80 mil contract now. He’s still average at best. Still a subpar player IMO. Either way, settle down and let’s see if he can do it more than one week.

Are you ******* kidding me. He is an inside linebacker in the N ******* FL. He stands 5 yards And moves to four. He tackles people at 7. Watch Jack. So he as a couple passed defenses. He is standing there He will get a few opportunities. He isn't special needs. He has played like complete dog **** and the fact that he gets a helmet tells me everything I need to know about Tomlin. It's like 10 guys on defense dude.

I agree. He is better than last year, but one "decent" game is still not good. If we are going to go that route spillane broke up a pass today as well. If you didn't know who Bush and Spillane were and just watched film I doubt you would be able to tell which one was taken in the first half of the first round

Haven't seen the first post on this thread that might imply anyone wanting to give him any kind of big contract

Not sure what that means. I guess he could do some things that I would say he deserves to start. I still have not seen anything. Like I believe he has between 3-5 pass defenses. He is a linebacker not a db. The context of his whole game is still **** because he doesn't take the run. As far as him being a Steelers player beyond this season that book should be in a landfill.

I loved the pick. I cheered the pick when it was made. I thought the pick was well worth the capital his first year though when the season went on it he hit the rookie wall about week 12 or so. He came out good in year two and is completely useless since. Tell me exactly why Devin Bush should start. This should be great.
