Biden Choked the Chickens

A lot of government jobs are low skill. How much education or skill do you think it takes to work at the ID card facility? You could train a monkey to do it in about 20 minutes.

There is a lot of bloat and redundancy in government work. If a person can afford to "work from home" for five years, how much value do they add? At our HQ, people have been working from home for a little over four years. When you try to reach item managers and such, they rarely answer the phone. When they do you hear the TV blaring, babies crying, dogs barking and the person you do reach keeps having to say "Hold on" while they yell at their kids, get them a snack, **** like that.

We have a person working in Georgia while claiming she is living in Michigan because Michigan has a higher locality pay this making her salary higher. And she's not the only one.

But to answer your question, probably not. They'll get paid more on the government dole.
Ever notice that people that act like they know more than everyone else, even though others have personal experience in any given field, don't really know that much at all?

Yes. Especially when they’re in Congress and display it on TV for all to see.

those people are identified with the (D) after their name.

I'm not sure he was doing that in his response to me. I think he just misunderstands the education level of the average federal worker and the type of work they do. Reading this board over the years, he's certainly not the only one. Sure, some federal jobs are simple, redundant and probably not needed. At the same time, there are some that are critical, complex and absolutely vital to this nation. So he's not entirely wrong. There are plenty of college educated federal workers, but they are definitely in the minority. By a lot.

NSA was recruiting us non-college degree Airmen out of Langley AFB with our work on SIPRnet. no degree needed and the pay was eye popping. I just didn't want to live in the DC area.

Well, if you are a federal employee, DC is the place to be. One of the best locality pays in the nation.

Oh yeah, by far. I'm an avid outdoorsman and I need woods and fields. I hate city life.

What’s not to get about working from home? What’s amazing is that teleconferencing has been around for decades but it took a pandemic for companies to realize that there was no need to force people into commuting to and from the office.

People will cancel child care to save money because they are working from home. At that point, it becomes a distraction to the person working from home and to me, they are no longer working. They are getting paid by the company to take care of their child. It sucks for people like me that are dependent on those people for certain things to properly do my job. If I need something expedited and you are the person that does the expediting and I can’t reach you, then you fail the customer and the customer loses faith.

I’m not saying it can’t work. It absolutely can. The problem arises in that the conditions have to be set in a manner that provides as little distraction as possible. You’re being paid to do a job, not child care or house keeping. I think you’d be hard pressed to find someone that isn’t doing things at home that they aren’t getting paid to do.

Thing is that you have Federal workers on Tik Tok bragging about how little work they do at home. Some of them log in, then leave to go work another job.

This is true. I saw a woman whining about how she wouldn't be able to deliver pizzas and manage her business if she had to go back to the office.

It’s simple, they don’t do their job, they lose it.

I go into the office once a week and ironically, the vast majority of communication I have with other people is via teleconference, just like when I’m at home. It’s bringing people into the office for the sake of bringing them into the office.

They should be able to easily tell if the employee is actively using their PC and if not, the last time they did.

Why does the image of a third-grade class when the teacher leaves the room come to mind?

Man Working From Home Finally Ready To Start Day Now That Wife And Kids Are In Bed

ROCHESTER, MN — Business could finally get done after a local man who works from home was finally ready to start his workday now that his wife and kids had all gone to bed for the night.

Regional Account Manager Jared Hastings said he would be able to sit down and get to work as soon as his wife, Emily, and their three children went down for the night and gave him the peace and quiet he needed to form coherent thoughts in his head.

"Ok, now that it's 11 P.M., I can get started on work," he said. "It's such a luxury to get to work from home and not have to deal with driving into the office every day, but I've found it most conducive to just wait until Emily and the kids are in bed before I try to start doing anything. It's just not realistic to try to work while the sun is still up."

Though Hastings still makes a gallant effort every morning to start work at a reasonable hour, he said settling in to work late at night remained inevitable. "Trust me, I've tried," he said. "I get up early, get my mind going, and sit down to work. Then the kids are fighting. Then my wife has to run to the grocery store. Then the little one has to be put down for a nap. Then the little one wakes up. Then it's lunchtime. By the time I realize it, it's 5 P.M. anyway. I might as well just wait until every other sane person is finishing their day before I start."

At publishing time, Hastings was making plans to vacate his home office which was cluttered with toys and his wife's Amazon boxes in favor of working next to the furnace and water heater in the basement.

For certain jobs in certain situations, I am all for it. But the results from the government doing have been far from good and result in even less efficiency. I would keep it very limited in government work. Frankly we probably don't even need most of them once we create a lean efficient streamlined Government.

They should but they don't. Everyone is in on the con.

Maybe just stay home all days each week and give your coworkers the break they need and deserve.

so you're 100% on board with eliminating government expenditure waste.
got it.

They killed the chickens to provide a shortage forcing prices to rise. And now cancer cells chicken matter is the same price as real chicken. Everywhere you look there is a new fast food chicken popping up. Where's the chicken coming from? Lab grown chicken from cancer cells. Bill Gates says " that's good eating".
Cancer cells chicken matter??

Nope. All they need to do is login and use this little bugger to keep the laptop from going inactive. I use it because I run tests on a desktop tower and company policy is to lock the laptop after 5 minutes. I grew tired of logging in all of the time.

They should have the IRS find gov employees who had second jobs then fire them for cause and prosecute them for whatever charge it takes that they can’t work in gov or get a security clearance again.

At a private company, there are people who don’t do anything. That always happens. A company grows, they hire more people than they actually need and you end up with a glut of middle managers whose job take about 1 hour per day. They pester those below them for various reports, then they forward those reports to their bosses.

The thing is, at a well run private company, at some point there are layoffs and they hunt for people to fire and find these mostly useless middle managers.

The government generally doesn’t do layoffs. They have no profit motive to stay lean. In fact, they’re are incentivized to grow fat. It’s the budget. Every government office’s main goal is not to be efficient and productive. It’s to make sure they spend every penny budgeted to them, then ask for more. Then they hire more people to do the same work. You end up with 4 people doing the job of 1 person.

Of corse there are government workers who are great at their jobs and are necessary. The problem is for every 1 of them, there’s 2 that do nothing.

I’m in favor of making the DMV more efficient, that doesn’t mean I want Elon Musk to SUDDENLY walk in and arbitrarily fire 90% of the workers while I’m waiting in line.
