I disagree Ron. Biden has aligned himself with the far left. Moderate Democrats are becoming an endangered species.
What type of fight can the moderates Democrats put up? If moderates want their share of increased taxes they will keep their mouth's shut. No way would they fight a new President. Moderates are not controlling Biden, Obama, and his former allies eager to get back into power are.
This could be the most important election since Reagan defeated Carter.

This might be the LEAST important election in a while because arguably, it is an election that isn't about anyone except maybe just about Trump.
The races in the Senate are much more important in the scheme of things ONLY because of RBG. But again, from a conservative point of few, that really CAN'T GET ANY WORSE. Ginsberg already rubber stamps every decision the most liberal way. You can't get MORE LIBERAL than her. Sure, it would suck to replace RBG with another, younger version of her that will sit on the court for 25 years. But it doesn't CHANGE the court from being what it is today. And if the Republicans win the Senate, there's a chance to make a big impact just by bringing in a moderate (like Garland) INSTEAD of RBG. That might not be the huge win we want, but it would be a little win.
Other than that, I see nothing Biden can do in the next 4 years to **** us up too bad. Yes, we'll lose all the gains we made with China, but I think that issue is out there now. People aren't going to ignore the stuff China is doing. The minority under Biden will use China throughout his entire term to beat him up in the media (similar to how Trump was beat up about Russia).
With the filabuster, I really have no fear of some crazy far-left legislation every getting passed. No way a $15/hour minimum wage gets through the Republicans. No way medicaid for all happens. No way free college happens. No way. The far left just has WAY too far crazy ideas for anything to actually get passed into law. In fact, them bringing it up just makes them easier to run against in national elections.
Look, when the Republicans went through electing wacko Tea Party extremists in the early 2010's, that actually KILLED the party on a national level. It was just too easy to attack republicans in a national election by putting up crazy Tea Party people like that Bachman chick as "representing the party". This Bernie Sanders group that is winning small-time, highly minority congressional seats is a worst-case scenario for Democrats. They are so easily attacked, so easily quoted with crazy bat-**** ideas, that using them to represent the "new Democrats" is the biggest weapon Republicans have for the next 8 years.
And it WILL work. If it was anyone other than Trump, this wouldn't even be a race. But Trump is Trump. The Great Disrupter. The most polarizing figure in American politics. This election is ALL about him and him only. Don't pay attention to the far left. Laugh at them. Encourage them. Because they are crazy and the American people know they are crazy as well (at least those that vote).
