Biden's VP pick

if you think President Trump is a fascist, you really need to look up what that word means

What Trump has done - deliberately and systematically - since taking office hits most, if not all, of the marks.

Definition of fascism

1 often capitalized : a political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition

2 : a tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control early instances of army fascism and brutality— J. W. Aldridge

Every. single. thing.

The fact that she's on the ballot with Biden, that's all I care about.

Wow. What a ringing endorsement. And an accurate view into the mind of a TDS infected Democrat. What do they stand for? Doesn't matter. What have they ever done? Doesn't matter. Do they have a shred of credibility? Doesn't matter. Do they oppose Trump? YES. You people would gleefully vote for Stalin if he was at the head of the Democrat ticket.

And it explains why Dems always get annihilate in debates to the point where you guys just ignore the facts and don't even engage except through BS talking points and memes. Dem arguments cannot stand up to factual debates. They are full of holes. It's because you have no cogent or consistent ideology or moral compass. Just swinging in the wind like weather vanes.

A Dem ticket that presents a historical opportunity to shut down an authoritarian fascist in the WH who is hellbent on destroying this nation. To bring this **** to a screeching halt. That's what I love about her. And that's what I love about Biden. Because they are the last, best hope to end the dystopia that's befallen this great country. Nothing else matters at this stage. They're both smart, decent and honest who will abide by Constitutional norms, bring the Executive branch in from the wild and set this Republic back on track.

So nothing in other words.

They will abide by Constitutional norms? Someone who openly stated she will unilaterally confiscate people's lawfully owned arms?

Ok.

Kamala Harris Ancestor Was Infamous White Slave Owner In Jamaica Hamilton Brown

Were Kamala Harris’ ancestors Slave Owners?

It is being said Kamala Harris is directly descended from one of the largest slave-owners in Jamaica, Hamilton Brown – there is a even a town named after him, Brown Town. So doesn’t it follow she’s a beneficiary, not a victim, of slavery?

But, does this statement hold any truth?

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Kamala Harris is directly descended from one of the largest slaveowners in Jamaica, Hamilton Brown—there is a even a town named after him, Brown Town. So doesn’t it follow she’s a beneficiary, not a victim, of slavery?</p>— Dinesh D'Souza (@DineshDSouza) <a href="https://twitter.com/DineshDSouza/status/1293384840793018368?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">August 12, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Snopes did a lengthy piece debunking the claim and concluding it as “unproven” – which according to them means – “insufficient evidence exists to establish the given claim as true”. Similar fact-checks were also published by other outlets.

So, here is the evidence.

Kamala Harris’ ancestor Hamilton Brown was an infamous Slave Owner

Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris is descended from Irish slave owner Hamilton Brown, the namesake of Brown’s Town in Jamaica, who recruited massive numbers of Irish migrants to Jamaica to work on his sugar plantations after the British empire abolished slavery.

Reflections of a Jamaican Father

In a piece published in Jamaica Global Online (https://www.jamaicaglobalonline.com/kamala-harris-jamaican-heritage/) titled Reflections of a Jamaican Father, Kamala Harris’s father Donald J. Harris reflects about their past. He writes:

Miss-Chrishy-slave-owner-ancestor-of-Kamala-Harris-696x983.jpg.webp

According to Kamala Harris’ father Miss Chrishy (above) was the descendant of Hamilton Brown who is on record as plantation and slave owner and founder of Brown’s Town

Hamilton Brown owned more than 100 slaves

According to the Jamaican Family Search (http://www.jamaicanfamilysearch.com/Members/slavereg.htm) Hamilton Brown owned more than 100 slaves on several plantations:

Here is a full accounting of the slaves owned by Hamilton Brown, according to the National Archives in London (http://www.jamaicanfamilysearch.com/Members/slavereg.htm), as of June 28, 1817 in the parish of St. Ann in Jamaica.

Hamilton Brown officially swore to owning slaves

Hamilton Brown officially swore to the authenticity of this record, stating:

Legacy of British Slave ownership

Hamilton Brown’s slave owning shows up in other records, as well. According to University College London’s project “Legacies of British Slave-ownership (https://www.ucl.ac.uk/lbs/person/view/11358):
But they were Irish slaves, so that is ok:

“Hamilton Brown was instrumental in the importing of several hundred labourers and their families from Ireland to Jamaica between 1835 and 1840. The project describes Hamilton Brown as a “Major attorney and resident slave-owner in Jamaica.”

There's a great absurdist, avant-garde play written by Eugene Ionesco in the early sixties, which best describes this age of Trumpism.

I highly reccomend it to anyone who wants to better understand the MAGA phenomena, this projection of our needs and wants onto an empty vessel, ie Trump. His followers have become blinded to the realities of his presidency, cannot see his creeping authoritarianism. Behind it all, Trump himself is dead to the world, panicky and paranoid, propped up by the likes of Jared Kushner and Stephen Miller, desperate to hold onto power, by any means neccessary.

Who would have thought we'd see a situation like this unfolding in the United States? By most accounts Trump will win the election in Nov and secure a 2nd term. We may not recognize this country moving forward. It's already happening, in so many ways. The dismantling of the basic tenets of democracy have come by a thousand lashes.

ExitTheKing.jpg

In the other plays of the "Berenger Cycle", Berenger appears as a depressed and insecure everyman who is prone to sentimentality. In Exit the King, he is the solipsistic and belligerent King Berenger the First who was apparently at one point able to command nature and force others to obey his will. According to his first wife he is over four hundred years old. He is informed early in the play that he is dying, and the kingdom is likewise crumbling around him. He has lost the power to control his surroundings and is slowly losing his physical capabilities as well. Through much of the play, he is in denial of his death and refuses to give up power. Berenger's first wife, Marguerite, along with the Doctor, tries to make Berenger face the reality of his impending death. Berenger's second wife, Marie, sympathetically attempts to keep Berenger from the pain of knowing his death is imminent. The king lapses into Berenger's normal sentimentality and eventually accepts that he is going to die. The characters disappear one by one, eventually leaving the king, now speechless, alone with Marguerite who prepares him for the end. Marguerite and then the king disappear into darkness as the play ends.

The analogy betwen Trump and the King in the play is that while he may not be confronting his own death per se, he is facing his political demise, the real danger his criminal past & present will catch up to him once he leaves office. For Trump, losing this election would be his utter demise. Hence why you see him do anything he can - sow chaos & confusion in the elections, dismantle the Postal Service, and more than anything, continue to spew lie after lie to the American people.

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

If I had a nickel for every time that's been said about Tibs, I'd be as wealthy as Joe & Hunter Biden.

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

You're about 4 years late sir.
Exactly why Trump got elected.

And he has been doing everything in his power to get this country back to what made us great.

You are so confused as to who was and wants to make this country unrecognizable. ******* Leftist.

Thanks for defining 8 years of Democratic rule under President Obama and the Pelosi run house. You must be so proud.

A lot of us are not blinded at all to the reality of his flaws. It's just that the people running against him are so much worse. He's an obnoxious idiot but at least he won't fundamentally destroy everything that made this country great.

Every. single. thing.

Well, truth is I only voted for McCain in 2008 because Palin was his running mate. Until then I was going to vote Libertarian.

But we're Trumptards, or complicit in 'destroying America' (according to Tibs, because we voted for him) simply because we don't want the jackals who really want to destroy America in power.

Speaking of jackals, noticed how those two got away with not having to answer a single question from the press (and the press just comply like a good little Commie bootlicker) for a second straight day? And they're talking about national mandates & spreading disgusting lies already? They're not even in power!

Tibs is disgusted with Trump's lying yet he's okay with all the lies the MSM and the rest of these jackals have told for decades? Gimme a ******* break.

Hell they booted the press corps out of the room when they tried asking a goddamn question. Will the press take them to task over it? Hell no because they gutless cowards who are in the Dems' pocket. If it was Trump they would murder him in the press. They are protecting Biden for all they are worth.

Cute. Nice try. But no.

https://www.britannica.com/topic/fascism

Fascism

Fascism, political ideology and mass movement that dominated many parts of central, southern, and eastern Europe between 1919 and 1945 and that also had adherents in western Europe, the United States, South Africa, Japan, Latin America, and the Middle East. Europe’s first fascist leader, Benito Mussolini, took the name of his party from the Latin word fasces, which referred to a bundle of elm or birch rods (usually containing an ax) used as a symbol of penal authority in ancient Rome.

Although fascist parties and movements differed significantly from one another, they had many characteristics in common, including
  • extreme militaristic nationalism,
  • contempt for electoral democracy and
  • political and cultural liberalism,
  • a belief in natural social hierarchy and the rule of elites,
  • and the desire to create a Volksgemeinschaft (German: “people’s community”), in which individual interests would be subordinated to the good of the nation.

---------------------

Now tell me again, which party is fascist? The one with AntiFA and BLM as its shock squads, the one with political and cultural liberalism, the one rapidly moving towards socialism where "individual interests are subordinated," and the one showing never-ending contempt for electoral Democracy...

Sounds far, far, far more like the Left to me, does it not Komrade?

per se, get over yourself.

Your avant garde EU-*** has little relevance to local folks.

Your oblique relevance to normalcy on the ground combined with your globalist fucktardedness and pure hatred of the present US government render your opinionated socialist views irrelevant.

Thanks for being honest that the only thing that matters is your TDS, that's it, and nothing more. It literally lives in your head.

You care nothing about the future of this country, not being able to list a single electable quality of either Biden or Harris.

Wait-Trump is dismantling the USPS? Really?

I hadn’t heard that one.

So here is what I understand.....it is being claimed that Trump is trying to sabotage the election by not giving money to the postal service that they didn’t ask for and have stated that they don’t need in order to deliver the ballots for mail in voting. Got it.

And in every article I have found on this issue, they ALL say “Trump has falsely claimed mail in voting will be rife with fraud.” How can they say it is false? There is more than anecdotal evidence that it will lead to fraud, and on a national level, likely widespread fraud. It will be interesting to see when either person wins and there are 240 million votes but only 170 million registered voters. Can’t wait to see the winner explain that.

Maybe Trump isn't so sure Putin will be able to help him this time. Easy answer, insert his partisan strongman as the head of USPS and destroy it from within, three months before the election where mail-in and absentee will be critical due to a pandemic. Once a cheater, always a cheater.

Trump admits he’s blocking postal cash to stop mail-in votes
https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/trump-admits-hes-blocking-postal-cash-to-stop-mail-in-votes

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump frankly acknowledged that he’s starving the U.S. Postal Service of money to make it harder to process an expected surge of mail-in ballots, which he worries could cost him reelection.

In an interview on Fox Business Network, Trump explicitly noted two funding provisions that Democrats are seeking in a relief package that has stalled on Capitol Hill. Without the additional money, he said, the Postal Service won’t have the resources to handle a flood of ballots from voters who are seeking to avoid polling places during the coronavirus pandemic.

“If we don’t make a deal, that means they don’t get the money,” Trump told host Maria Bartiromo on Thursday. “That means they can’t have universal mail-in voting; they just can’t have it.”

Trump’s statements, including the false claim that Democrats are seeking universal mail-in voting, come as he is searching for a strategy to gain an advantage in his November matchup against Joe Biden. He’s pairing the tough Postal Service stance in congressional negotiations with an increasingly robust mail-in-voting legal fight in states that could decide the election.

Postal Service warns 46 states their voters could be disenfranchised by delayed mail-in ballots
https://www.washingtonpost.com/loca...bf3c3c-dcc7-11ea-8051-d5f887d73381_story.html

Anticipating an avalanche of absentee ballots, the U.S. Postal Service recently sent detailed letters to 46 states and D.C. warning that it cannot guarantee all ballots cast by mail for the November election will arrive in time to be counted — adding another layer of uncertainty ahead of the high-stakes presidential contest.

The letters sketch a grim possibility for the tens of millions of Americans eligible for a mail-in ballot this fall: Even if people follow all of their state’s election rules, the pace of Postal Service delivery may disqualify their votes.

The Postal Service’s warnings of potential disenfranchisement came as the agency undergoes a sweeping organizational and policy overhaul amid dire financial conditions. Cost-cutting moves have already delayed mail delivery by as much as a week in some places, and a new decision to decommission 10 percent of the Postal Service’s sorting machines sparked widespread concern the slowdowns will only worsen. Rank-and-file postal workers say the move is ill-timed and could sharply diminish the speedy processing of flat mail, including letters and ballots.

The USPS is shutting down mail-sorting machines crucial for processing absentee ballots as the 2020 election looms
https://www.businessinsider.com/usps-turning-off-mail-sorting-machines-ahead-of-the-election-2020-8

The United States Postal Service is deactivating mail-sorting machines at processing centers across the US.

  • At least 19 sorting machines, which can process 35,000 pieces of mail per hour, have been dismantled and removed in recent weeks, postal workers told Motherboard.
  • The president of the Iowa Postal Workers Union and Democratic lawmakers have voiced concerns about sorting machines being dismantled and about sweeping changes to the USPS made by Postmaster General Louis DeJoy, a top Trump donor who took office earlier this summer.
  • Mail-in voting during the COVID-19 pandemic is expected to cause a surge in mail volume ahead of the 2020 election. President Donald Trump has said he would withhold funding from the USPS to sabotage mail-in voting.

Trump’s attack on the Postal Service is now a national emergency

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opin...ack-postal-service-is-now-national-emergency/

You’ve heard the joke about the boy who kills his parents, then pleads for mercy from the court on the grounds that he’s an orphan. That’s essentially what President Trump is doing — except the victim is the U.S. Postal Service. The Post reports:

<section>
President Trump says the U.S. Postal Service is incapable of facilitating mail-in voting because it cannot access the emergency funding he is blocking, and made clear that requests for additional aid were nonstarters in coronavirus relief negotiations.

Trump, who has been railing against mail-in balloting for months, said the cash-strapped agency’s enlarged role in the November election would perpetuate “one of the greatest frauds in history.” Speaking Wednesday at his daily pandemic news briefing, Trump said he would not approve $25 billion in emergency funding for the Postal Service, or $3.5 billion in supplemental funding for election resources, citing prohibitively high costs.

“They don’t have the money to do the universal mail-in voting. So therefore, they can’t do it, I guess,” Trump said. “Are they going to do it even if they don’t have the money?”

In an interview on Fox Business on Thursday morning, Trump also said of the money Democrats have requested to help states and the Postal Service ensure that mail ballots are delivered and processed in a timely fashion: “Now they need that money in order to make the post office work so it can take all of these millions and millions of ballots ... But if they don’t get those two items that means you can’t have universal mail-in voting.”

</section>So to summarize: Trump says an election in which too many Americans vote by mail would be illegitimate, so he’s doing everything he can to make sure that the Postal Service can’t handle the huge numbers of ballots it will have to deliver.

Denying the Postal Service the funds it needs is only part of the plan. Trump’s partner in the project to destroy the Postal Service is Postmaster General Louis DeJoy, the GOP megadonor who has given millions of dollars to the Trump campaign and the Republican Party, and has been on the job for just two months.

Soon after taking office, DeJoy ordered a series of changes in policy that shocked postal employees. He banned overtime and told carriers to leave mail behind at distribution centers, causing it to pile up day after day. Employees also report that sorting machines that help speed mail processing have been removed from postal facilities. The inevitable result has been slower delivery, with letters and packages arriving late and many Americans simply not getting their mail every day. You’ve probably noticed it yourself.

The implications for the election, with unprecedented numbers of Americans wary of going to polls in the midst of a pandemic, quickly became clear. As The Post reported last month, “Postal employees and union officials say the changes implemented by [DeJoy] are contributing to a growing perception that mail delays are the result of a political effort to undermine absentee voting.”

Large scale mail in voting has been proven to be a disaster where attempted. It will be a surefire way of causing a national catastrophe.

When Pres Trump closes the polls, then you have something to complain about.

GEOFF EDGERS: Do you plan to … vote in person or are you planning to vote by mail-in ballot? What’s your thought on that? I’m a little nervous. I prefer to vote by mail-in because I don’t want to be standing in a line somewhere worrying about the person behind me or in front of me.

DR. ANTHONY FAUCI: I’ll likely vote in-person, but under the circumstances — that if what I see in grocery stores, what I see at Starbucks, is you get six or more feet, stand here and don’t move until the person ahead of you. I believe the polling stations are going to do that. If they do that, the six feet, I wouldn’t have any problem. But I absolutely understand people who have a concern about that who should be able to vote by mail.

Fibs, why don't you start a Mail in Ballots Thread? As usual, you have this unintelligent habit of randomly ******** anywhere you want in the house....instead of in the bathroom.

Try and keep your drivel associated with proper threads instead of ******** in every room of the house.

I'm sure you'll struggle to figure this message out. Read...it...slow.
