I got a feeling he is gonna drop early. Individual drills dont ready you for a real football game. He's gonna soft tissue out.
Yep....Cam will be having a subpar year. Maybe the Steelers will want to renegotiate next years salary after this season..... YOU READING THIS CAM?!!!! Take your F***ing notes and screenshots....you acted like a little biitch.I got a feeling he is gonna drop early. Individual drills dont ready you for a real football game. Plenty of premier pass rushers have had successful seasons at the age of 34. And if your doubt does somehow become warranted, the Steelers can simply exit the contract with just a $10 million cap hit after year 3.I highly doubt he will play all four seasons nor that in the last two he will be putting up huge numbers.
I can't imagine anyone like Watt as a player more then me. I just dont believe giving non QB's similar money to that position. Especially as a third contract. EVEN if he plays at as high a level as he did in his second contract........what did they win there?Plenty of premier pass rushers have had successful seasons at the age of 34. I don’t think you are considering what QBs are making now and the increase in cap space. His cap hit went down as a percentage of the cap from his last contract.I can't imagine anyone like Watt as a player more than me. I just dont believe giving non QB's similar money to that position. Unfortunately that's the market, and I think the fact we aren't paying top tier QB money to a QB that really helped, and even if we draft a QB in round 1 this coming year and he pans out, by the time we give him his big contract, Watt's deal will be expired. If you look at the % of his contract in comparison to the NFL cap, it's a less % of the cap than his 2nd contract.I can't imagine anyone like Watt as a player more then me. So Lamar Jackson makes about 40 million this year. Then he makes a little less then double Watt money for two years. Then he is likely in renegoatiation. But he is a QB. And I just dont believe a non qb can effect the game that way. The money this team has hooked into Watt, DK and Ramsey. All guys on the downside of their careers just is not a good idea. Sorry. Proof will be in the pudding. Let's see them win a playoff game. Now you might point to this or that reason. Well if you are going to throw that kinda cake at three players they have to be reasons why you win division and a playoff game.
Unfortunately none of the cap hits can account for poor scheme/strategy, lack of in-game adjustments, or poor in-game decision making. So Lamar Jackson makes about 40 million this year. Exactly, if you're going to pay Watt all that money, come up with a damn scheme that doesn't constantly allow him to be double teamed and chipped. They made Minkah the highest paid safety in the NFL after an all pro season, then the schematic genius made him a glorified center fielder.Unfortunately none of the cap hits can account for poor scheme/strategy, lack of in-game adjustments, or poor in-game decision making.
But who knows.....maybe this season will open with the first down play being a post for DK or a seam route for Smith/Muth. Lol
I love this comment. My sisters husband is a big wig in Germany and he is always looking for that bigger check. He is not afraid to uproot and chase. It works for him, just not for me I spent too much of my life here there and everywhere I try to stay a little more grounded now.
LAst year we far better in the second half of games than the first, this destroys the in-game adjustments argument. It does however bring into question the first quarter planning.Unfortunately none of the cap hits can account for poor scheme/strategy, lack of in-game adjustments, or poor in-game decision making.

This. Hense I really dont think this money spent will get anything. Watt will entertain us. Ramsey and DK will be interesting. Bout it.How many playoff wins will it take to constitute the money spent…?
Will a squeaked by WC playoff game win with a 19.5 point loss in a division game be enough ?
BIG change3 will have to happen before they become a legitimate contender. If the OC has instilled an actual offensive NFL game plan / scheme, huge strides can be made.
The defense needs a scheme change as well………… will that happen
My point is just how much change the Tomlin will allow……… ?
Salute the nation
Imagine watching Heyward's season end 3 games in and watching a 41 year old Rodgers hoist the Lombardi. That would be unbelievably satisfying for 90% of Steelernation.I got a feeling he is gonna drop early. Individual drills dont ready you for a real football game. He's gonna soft tissue out.
Why would seeing him out be satisfying? I don't get the stupid hate.Imagine watching Heyward's season end 3 games in and watching a 41 year old Rodgers hoist the Lombardi. That would be unbelievably satisfying for 90% of Steelernation.
