Can a defensive player win the Heisman Again? Coolie Pimps Ed Oliver

Hello Ike Taylor. As you can see in post 240 in October 2018 I mentioned Oliver could play ILB. I’m pretty sure I mentioned it even sooner here.

Now show me who said this on the web before me?

I know what I said. I find you weak, saying prove it when time has passed. If this board had archive for years you see I wanted to trade up for Ed Reed and earl Thomas . I was heavily panned suggesting the Steelers trade up their 1st, 2nd and 3rd for a guy named JJ Watt. Of course I knew Kordell Stewart was a dud.

My drafts are usually better than the Steelers too.

Hey simpleton, look at post (472) before your reply. It was posted by Daniel Jeremiah in June 2018. Some 4 months before you even watched a few clips on YouTube.

And guess what? You just showed you’ve learned the first step of providing objective evidence to a written claim. So now you know what to do when you spout off more of your BS.

If you are adamant about your statements, as asinine as they are they are, maybe you should publish them. That is if you want to legitimize them. Otherwise, it is just your board opinion. No more, no less. ***.

We will do a before the draft mock this year, everyone's final picks so we can reference back for comedy purposes when needed.

I do better than that. I say point blank right after the draft who I would have taken. That is best as you can only pick who is in the board.

Most mock drafts have players that are line gone, but sure I’ll play along.

Oh no we are doing it before the draft. That way nobody namely you can use others opinions. Plus you will be on vacation after the draft anyways. One week before the draft gives you plenty of teams to figure out one player from each round who you want.

179. #Houston DT Ed Oliver
Height: 6-1 7/8
Weight: 287
Hand: 9 2/8
Arm: 31 6/8
Wingspan: 77 3/8

If he can show the same quickness he showed on the field during games during the drills tomorrow, he might make it into the first round of the draft

Taller & heavier than some here said but I think his wingspan a little short but NOT critical. His speed will shine and top ten it is..................................

some here just believe every report that some unnamed "scout" or an announcer says on TV

all anyone had before today was speculation on his playing weight. While he likely put on a few pounds, I doubt he was as light as some here began to believe.

Arms are about an inch shorter than Aaron Donald, and we will see tomorrow how his strength measures up...but I have no doubts his quickness will shine in all the drills. Saw this morning some guy projecting Oliver to run the 40 in the 4.5s range...which may be a touch optimistic.

lol called it. He has shorter than average arms. Hands are on the smaller side for a DT.

He put on some weight.

you called him being short and light also...throw enough bullshit out and you get lucky now and then...and logic suggests that if he is shorter than most he will also have arms shorter than most...

Lance Zierlein tweeted a couple weeks ago while reviewing film that DL players who use the lower digit numbers appear to be smaller than they really are.

NFL site now shows him as 6'2" and 287, I guess UH's 6'3" 290 wasn't too far off the mark.....

He is shorter than Houston said. Hardly 6'3" tall. Under 6'2".

Houston says he played in the 270s. I see no reason why they would fabricate this number.

Since I actually know a thing or two about the combine, there are tricks for the weight in. Players who are underweight go on an eating binge and sometimes drink 1/2 a gallon of water or more before the weigh in. A gallon of water weighs about 8.3 pounds. Scouts often notice so and so has a larger than normal gut, its something the player is underweight for his position, know how he gained it. I say they should weight them in last. Then the shenanigans will go away as people don't want to add weight for speed drills.

But like I said from looking at him on film, his arms are on the short side. I was correct.

I can tell by watching 40's if the next player after him will run faster than the player before him in almost all cases.

I think Oliver will run and jump well, I'm more interested in how much he can bench, he will be giving up 30 pounds, 2-3" in arm length, and about 4-5" in height.

some talking head claimed some nameless coach at UH said Oliver played in the 270s...that doesn't make it a fact. Many of them claimed he was closer to 6 foot also...that wasn't true either.....

and as I've stated...it is only logical that a guy smaller than the others would have arms slightly shorter also..it isn't some great eagle eyed observation of yours

Really Coach? Have you ever been to the Combine? Been at the weigh in? Have press credentials?

The weight tricks are nothing new, been going on forever in sports. So don’t try to insinuate some ground breaking stuff.

It wouldn’t be a stretch to postulate most of us who have watched the Combine in the last decade have seen just as, if not more than you, which would make those folks much more clever than you.

But like I said from looking at him on film, his arms are on the short side. I was correct.

But you were wrong on height and weight. So two out of three is terrible. According to your ideology you have poor football IQ.

bet you came up with that from watching a few highlights on youtube

I watched ten seconds of his play, I now feel comfortable critiquing him as a bust. Remember I said it here first.

If my logic is correct is believe Coach is wrong but then again im just a FNG
