Can a defensive player win the Heisman Again? Coolie Pimps Ed Oliver

suck a glock asshat. He may be shorter than average DT, but he plays with exceptional leverage based on his ability to get his hands on the OL and his strength and is quicker than any other DL prospect.

All that matters is how team needs line up during the draft.....none of your "analysis" is worth the space it takes on this website.

Wasn’t that the knock on Aaron Donald coming out that he was too short?

Hindsight has a way of agreeing with me more often than not. If you applaud dolt picks like Golson or Archer, that's your business. I blast them when they happen, and after the fact.

Message boards are about opinions, I like to give mine. You must like to reply to them :)

Really? What did hindsight say about your Polamalu prediction? Better yet, why not you expound on it? Can you admit that you were wrong? It would be a first.

Your right about one thing, message boards allow you to give your own sometimes idiotic opinion. Just like they allow others to respond to them.

Donald is strong as a bull ( Stronger than Oliver ), played better competition, and actually destroyed people as a pass rusher. And he didn't even go in the top 10.

Oliver, so the Houston coaches say is about 275 pounds.

Yet incredibly, again you won’t admit how wrong you were. Your own post just proved how incorrigible you are.

You sure like labeling people....Mr. Glasshouse, stalker, lol. Don’t flatter yourself......oh, wait you do often.

No Coach I just call BS when it shows up repeatedly. That’s the reason for your high post count.

Plus the fact you are a narcissistic freeloader to this board.

Yo Coolie.

As I predicted ED Oliver's stock is staring to fall. And he will measure up short. Do you still think you will win our bet? None of the 4 people at NFL.com thinks Ed Oliver will be a top ten pick.

Click the words mock draft below to see where they project him...for now

Don’t players rise and fall based on draft order and what teams prioritize as needs? I think a player that does or doesn’t go in the top 10 or even top 20 means little as it relates to a player’s ability. Unless the guy is the next big thing at QB, there are no guarantees. I mean, who saw Baker Mayfield going #1? Exactly nobody. Predicting this stuff is a crap shoot and hardly worth this much effort.

He missed 4 games, his stock was going to fall...as I have said dozens of times, we will see how he measures up at the combine. All it takes is one team to fall in love with his athleticism for him to go high in the draft.

Mocks don't mean a damn thing...never have, never will

Usually, the top ten in a final mock draft is pretty accurate and that what the bet is all about. Don't believe me, check past final mock drafts in 2018. So yes, they do mean something.

Wanna check,

https://www.nbcsports.com/washingto...ock-draft-100-final-version-draft-day#slide-4

I see 8 of 10 players they mocked in the top ten. 80%, One player they mocked went 12th.

We know how Ed Oliver will measure up at the combine. Short and light. Once this is confirmed, his stock will go down. We'll see if he has short arms too, which is my observation that I have not seen on the web.

Yes, Oliver has sweet feet, but at his size, production as a pass rusher ( vs weaker competition ) , and ability to anchor in vs the run in the NFL are red flags. His maturity is also something that is going to be looked at regardless of what you think.

Oh my, he missed 4 games, and that's hurting his stock you say? Um, no. Can you tell me why the same does not apply to Nick Bosa who missed more games, and needed a surgery? His draft stock is top 3. Unchanged.

A major injury to an ankle, knee, back or neck, can cause stock to drop. Oliver had non of the above.

Your best shot Buffalo. They are not a smart team and pick 9th overall. It's pretty cold up there, I don't see any jacket problems!

Could add our world famous, 100yard TD interception return specialist, a one..............James Harrison.

Who is this guy? Must be a New England Patriots fan, judging by the link.

I didn't look for it, just showed up in my newsfeed. Judging by the name of the net work being NEW ENGLAND Sports Network, I think a *'s fan is a good guess.

That happens at the end of the month :), and no I'm not giving up posting here. It's going to be less though for sure and seldom happen between 9-5PM. Where's my golf clap?

I might wake up a bit earlier to post or do it later in the PM for the weekdays if people really miss me. Sarcasm.

The floor plan looks fine, thank you. It might amuse you to learn I'll be bossing around mostly millennials which will be facing me, but there's more.

The new boss I'll be reporting to is from Boston. His office has a photo of Tom Brady and himself on some golf course. Isn't that freaken wonderful? I'm pretty sure I'll be going to the Patriots vs. Dolphins game as it was filler talk around the photo, and he goes with a group every year. How I'll act there remains to be seen as I have no plans to be a touches lecher. At least he gets his beer right and we agree on the philosophy of business. Also, HR suddenly is on my on my side. The stuff they told me about some of these millennials I'll be responsible for I can not share here. I used to think I knew what HR does. What I can say is you work for a big company, you would be wise to assume they know too much about you.

The change is worth it for the increase in pay, and options...I'll just need to keep my big mouth shut about the Boston sports and stay away from the drama.

No dissertation is needed about why. Knowing you will be at reduced presence or more than enough.

Coach, good luck in the up coming endeavors. I wish we could all be independent with a one year salary of the average NFL salary, would set most up for life. I own my small company and employees have changed from even 10years ago. Again good luck in your new responsibilities and keep us updated once in awhile as with your post(s).

mocks are worthless this early. Don't even have the correct heights and weights on guys, nevermind their 40 times and other tests.

Height and Weight will not affect Oliver's draft stock. Everybody knows he's an undersized player. His stock will depend on his quickness and agility tests. Whichever team drafts him will be looking for an Aaron Donald or Geno Atkins type disrupter, not some run stuffing NT.

Oliver has to either be a gap shooter in a 4-3 or I think he could possibly end up as a 3-4 OLB.

People will compare him to Donald based on size but that's where that ends. I think the guy teams should compare him to is Tamba Hali. Hali played DT at Penn State. He was undersized but they needed him there and he was disruptive. The Chiefs transitioned him to 3-4 OLB because of his athletic ability and relentless motor. It too a few seasons but once he learned the position, he was one of the best pass rusher in the NFL.

If Oliver runs 4.6 or better and has good shuttle times and vertical, he will be a high pick.

So coach basically you have to work for a change?

You could say I used to work hard in spurts. Now I have to develop and coach up a bunch of millennials.

Since Ike is going to miss me I might post in the early AM or at lunch, just so he gets the news :)
