Canada FIRED

I mean, the players were openly revolting and regressing… regardless of the philosophy the immediate strategy had to change…


I was 1000% wrong about what canada would do here… he could not grasp nfl level concepts in the passing game and was asking the blockers to do stuff that probably isn’t realistic at nfl speeds

RB Coach Eddie Faulkner to take over OC. QB Coach Mike Sullivan to take over play calling.

Very un-Tomlin like. The bye week would have been the most logical time to pull the trigger. It appears Tomlin's hand was forced either by AR2 or a full on mutiny from players.

I wouldn't rule out the mutiny after hearing reports about how offensive players were acting during/after the game and Najee's & Kenny's post game comments.
 
An article came out about the Rooney’s being cheat and detached that’s why Canada was still coaching… not surprised Art acted… I named my daughter Rooney I called her first thing and told her that her names been redeemed!!!

While I'm grateful, do we just run a very simple vanilla offense the rest of the year? One that will surely be able to be defended easily?
And this is VERY un-Steeler like. This is SO unusual for us.
Is this Rooney's shot across Tomlin's bow?
This is actually given me more hope since I officially gave up on Tomlin back in 2014 that he may be near his demise.
Rooney hasn't renewed that contract yet.

I think this means anything is possible. Art must be pretty fed up if his cheap *** is going to pay Canada to sit home. I think it might actually be possible for Art to let Tomlin go into 2024 without an extension. I think the next 7 games will determine if that’s the case. Do we go 5-2 or 2-5?
 
I really do think player revolt is behind it.

I mean DJ was adamant about how he did what he was supposed to do and it wasn’t just that one guy saying that he ran the wrong route based on standard NFL logic… and during post game breakdowns SCORES of analyst we’re questioning routes, progressions, blocking schemes and formations that make no sense…

I think these guys had enough and it was tge only thing that could pacify them..


The same thing happened to Austin in Cincinnati… the players kept saying they were doing what they were supposed to and they bled yardage like a sieve. The Bengals had to midseason fire him

For the outcome we all need, fans and players alike, I hope we go 0 for the rest of the season.
This mediocrity we all become accustomed to over the last decade needs to change.
And that ONLY happens if Cool Shades HCMT goes.
