Canada FIRED

Reported on Good Morning Football by Tom Pellisaro. Finally!

RB Coach Eddie Faulkner to take over OC. QB Coach Mike Sullivan to take over play calling.
Eddie Faulkner??? OMG... what has he ever proved as an OC??? Does he have a secret playbook that we've never seen???

Dorsey is available😡😡😡

About damn time! This honestly surprises me. I think Rooney had to have gotten involved. I hope they only put an interim guy in the spot and fire everyone at the end of the season and start from scratch. Putting Sullivan in there is OK for now but I really hope he is only there until the end of the year. I have no faith in any one of the O coaches. GO STEELERS!!!!!

Tomlin and Rooney forced to admit they were wrong in Canada, how surprised is everyone in Steeler Nation on this decision. Now who will be the hire new young blood for the game today or another hire from within which has not looked good with this OC or the DC. Steeler Nation will be glued to the TV Sunday.

I mean, bringing in a new OC midseason is probably not logical… these players aren’t computers that can be instantly reprogrammed with all new plays and a new coach right now would have to learn our plays and decipher the bad ones to call the game at all…

I think this is logical… just if there isn’t a good result, offseason they have to go out of the team to replace Canada

I'm hearing that the last time we fired a coach was in 1941?

Seems nuts

Edit - Can't be. Cower fired his OC. I'll keep looking.

Oh boy, is the MT Presser going to be fun today!!!!!

Below the line, obviously, not living in our fears, pedigree, all that.....

Might even be a few new ones thrown in today since this is unchartered territory for him.

Can't change the playbook in the middle of the season. Can introduce new, or change the route and blocking concepts a little. Anyway, Dorsey and Lefty would not want to come in here and run Canada's bullshit playbook for almost half a season. They'd want time to introduce their own playbook during the offseason.

Thomas spent seven seasons in the NFL (2008-14). He was the Atlanta Falcons quarterbacks coach for three seasons after being promoted from offensive assistant. During the three seasons when Thomas guided quarterback Matt Ryan, the former first-round pick threw for more than 4,500 and 26 touchdowns in each campaign, earning Pro Bowl honors in 2013 and 2015 and cementing himself as the best quarterback in franchise history. In 2012, Ryan set franchise single-season highs in passing yards (4,719), touchdown passes (32) and completion percentage (68.6). Atlanta's offense also featured perennial all-pros Roddy White and Julio Jones at wide receiver, Michael Turner at running back, and legendary tight end Tony Gonzalez, an NFL Hall of Famer.

He looks like the best option to replace maple syrup...

Ravens did it and went to superbowl

thank god losing my sanity watching Penn State and the Steelers offense on Saturday/Sunday
The Parallels to these two teams are eerily similar. Now, they both have two OC's sharing duties as well.

Cowher got rid of his OC AFTER the season. The Steelers have never fired an OC during the regular season. Of course, no coach held the title of OC until Tom Moore in 1983

His playbook will be twice as big as Canada's
I think the play calls will be significant to how the O performs.

In his tenure with the Bucs as their OC, Sullivan had mixed reviews.

Also there is a lot of variables in place for this year. So we aren't guaranteed to know the deal with Kenny despite a few thinking they can now decide one way or another.

The majority of those posters already decided.

I am on board with a new OC will be more significant in figuring out Kenny's outcome.

Still we will see which way he is trending which is down at the present.

93.7 reporting via Gerry Dulac of the P-G that the call came from Deuce.
Interim OC will be RB coach Faulkner and play calling will be handled by QB coach Sullivan.

I think it might be detrimental to change the verbiage, etc at this point of the season.

This is retarded.
More proof Tomlin is in over his head and his has no idea how to lead or effectively manage and delegate.
I agree - this is a really bad look for Tomlin! If Art2 had to step in and fire Canada, that has to tell him that Tomlin wasn't in control or just blind and stupid! Hopefully, Art2 will be pissed enough to say goodbye to Tomlin after the season. An owner can only take so much scrutiny over how the organization is being run, that they need to step in and finally do something.

Oh yeah. As if Tomlin is innocent in all of this. The right answer would have been to send both packing. Have Kennela join them.

The good thing about this is that it is a shot fired over the bow in that maybe from here on out everyone under AR2 will be on notice.

If you suck at your job, you can and will be sent packing mid season.

This has never happened before to the best of my knowledge.
