I'm not usually one to jump all over the "sign this guy" bandwagon, but I think it would definitely be a great move to bring him in.

Was he there with Haley??

Oooooh! Ooooooh! Mr. Kotter!!!!!!! Ooooooh! Let me say it.

He'd look good in black and gold, wasn't used properly, and would be a star on this team.

Signed,
Arnold Horshack

I'd be all about this signing if we make the play

But when he's on the grass is he cookin with gas? That would be my only question

.

Flowers is a solid zone corner. He is only 28 and has six years as a starter (averaging 14.5 starts a year). Not fast, but is very quick. His initial burst and change of direction are elite. Very good tackler with 17 interceptions.

He would likely be a good fit with DL and Lake.

.

He would bring experience at one of the Steelers weakest positions. I know they brought in the Texan corner but I am all for this signing...

I was going to post something similar. The guy was their nickle corner and was going to be paid over 7 million this year. He is strictly a zone guy, not strong on coverage. He is 1 inch taller than Archer for Christ's sake and lots slower. We might be better off if both Spence and Shazier are healthy using which ever of them does not start inside in the nickle as they are likely as fast as this guy and bigger. We could then have a 2-5-4 and call it a 2 bit defense.

Is he related to Lee Flowers? I liked that guy.

Can't believe nobody has mentioned his pedigree yet, slipping this offseason guys

He has likely wilted by now, the only thing he will be good for now is mulch

I guess my question is, "Who's better - Ike or Brandon???"

that's the wrong question, he struggles playing on the outside, the question would be who's better Gay or Flowers?

Flowers is a top 10 zone corner, but floundered in their press man scheme. I think he'd be a great fit in LeBeau's scheme.

And Ike hasn't? Right now, Flowers is better thank Ike, and would provide an upgrade to our weakest position.

Ike struggled last year because he rarely had safety help over the top, either Clark was too slow to get there, or Troy was down in the box to make up for the lack of an ILB next to Timmons. Ike is also 6'2", Flowers if 5'9". Would you like to see Flowers try to cover AJ Green? I'm sorry but Flowers is not better than Ike, he can't play on the outside at all. He is a slot/nickel corner ONLY. Adding Flowers would upgrade the UNIT, but replacing Ike with Flowers would not upgrade the position, it would make it weaker.
