Gun control advocates typically are too idealistic or just stupid to understand why what they hope and dream would happen wouldnt play out in reality. They also ignore other countries that have higher gun ownership abd access yet virtually none of the gun crime we have, or the horrid alternatives psychos use where gun access is limited.
Remember, this country's first school massacre happened with dynamite ... killers use what is available.

Its a sophomoric mindset. Reasonable gun control measures to the left is an ever sliding goalpost and not really practicable.. but its a nice way to deflect the bigger social issues they dont have answers for ...

In Europe guns have been mostly illegal forever and gun ownership is not widespread so the Mus-, err, I mean "migrants" just kill people with knives and stolen trucks.

Yeah it’s horrible. So what’s your solution to it? Background checks? Almost every school shooter would either have passed one or got his weapon through somebody who did. Banning “assault weapons”? Automatic weapons have been banned for decades. Many semiautomatic guns would not be classified as “assault weapons” under proposed bans.

I’m not even opposed to some reasonable gun controls but I have never heard of a proposed solution that would actually solve this problem. Banning and confiscating all guns might, I’m opposed to that for a variety of reasons but nobody I know is proposing that.

We don’t have mass shootings in baseball or football stadiums because we have proper security measures. Apparently those measures are too expensive to protect schoolchildren.

The rifle used in this murder was a hunting rifle. The data for rifles being used to kill in 2023 (the latest date available) shows 511 killed with a rifle, and 659 killed by hands, fists, or feet.

The problem with a gun ban is that with some 400 million guns already in the United States, the only people who would turn over their weapons are law-abiders. The remaining 100 million (?) guns would be freely available to criminals.

Time to go after the actual causes: for mass shootings, SSRI's and other drugs used on kids and catering to bizarre fetishes such as gender ideology and other mental defects.

There's a report of a private plane that took off shortly after the shooting and then disappeared from radar. I hope this it the punk though and we get to see him shot in the face.

When I was in high school 30 some years ago, my friends and I got a copy of the anarchist cookbook and a few other nutjob pieces and made several of the devices explained in them just to see if they would work... we set them off in vacant spaces. I can absolutely guarantee that there are dozens more deadly things than guns that can be made from household products which can be learned with minimal effort from the web.

The trick is not limiting access to weapons, its fixing the social ills of society... but the ultra liberals have failed to solve that so they just blame guns...

There are countries with mandatory gun ownership rules and low gun violence... Im not a gun nut. I just dont see any correlation the way indoctrinated libs do...
