So the NCAA rule ought to be that if a Student Athlete that was a starter for the majority of the previous season enters the transfer portal, they arent eligible for the postseason the next year unless they changed head coaches.. That fixes teams buying starters off other schools... the transfer portal was supposed to provide opportunities for backups stuck in unenviable positions... not to create a bidding war

The coaching duel between Freeman and Smart was glorious to watch. That game was a true chess match, and Freeman was the better of the two. That young man has a very bright future.

Yeah. I rewatched it.
Didn’t get to watch much of it live. Got out of work and got home with about 10 minutes left in the 4th quarter.
UGA had some unfortunate turnovers. The fumble in the red zone in the first half. The sideline infraction was also a momentum killer.
That aside, both defenses were a chess match.
Obviously wanted a better outcome, but the better team won yesterday.
Overall, I’m excited for the Gunner Stockton era. I just hope the wr room can improve next season. I think the Dawgs will be in the mix next season.

So Mississippi is up 45 to14 with around 4 minutes left in the game. Dart doesn’t want to come out of the game, instead he throws a long touchdown to put them up 52 14. You could tell Kiffin wasn’t happen and even said Dart needs to learn a little class when he and Dart were being interviewed together on field post game. He did mention that he still loves Dart during the interview, his comments didn’t even register with Dart.
One more observation, Duke returned the ensuing kickoff for a touchdown so Ole Miss gets the ball and puts in their freshman qb Simmons who I think is going to light it up next year. They run the ball twice and then he lets loose with a 35 yard pass over the middle on the last play which would have went the distance if not for a nice tackle.
Kiffin apologized to an unhappy Duke head coach at midfield who did a nice job of restraining himself.
Kiffin went on to say they beat a good team who had the best defense in the ACC (what a joke) and seemed to be insinuating they shouldn’t have been left out of the playoffs.
The whole thing was sad.

Kiffin is a first rate d-bag. Talking as if he had no control over what plays were called. Why leave Dart in so long in the first place? Duke had a bunch of portal losses, particularly their QB. They had no chance but Lane wanted to run it up.

Penn State's front is about athleticism and shooting gaps. That's something ND hasn't really seen this year. They get lots of tackles for loss to set up a 3rd and long and then rely on their pass rushers.
On the other hand, Notre Dame has not faced a team that can run it like Penn State. Penn State has a size advantage and has good blocking TEs. Notre Dame blitzes a lot.
They are both hot as hell.
Boise State moved the ball great vs. Penn State. Notre Dame has an excellent chance to take them down. I'd call it a coin flip. One thing about gap shooters. With correct angles they are Fugged.

Dont know the man personally....but I think he is a very good young football coach, who probably will be a head coach in the NFL in the near future.
No one is watching the Bahamas Bowl, but I've had my eye on #52 for Buffalo, linebacker Shaun Dolac. Not sure what his draft situation will be, but I wouldn't mind seeing the Steelers take a chance on him. Over 160 tackles on the season. He's a little undersized at 6-1 225, but the guy is just a solid overall football player. Reminds me a little bit of Robert Spillane.
I got one eye on it...
Loved the Bulls today...forgot it was such an early start...missed out.
One of the easiest plays of the bowl season. The under, too.
I would very much like to see Penn. St. to win it all against Texas.. But I think the powers to be would rather have oh and nd in the NCG.
