College Football Playoff Thread

Abdul Carter was unstoppable. Part of that is the refs called holding today. Big 10 refs don't call holding so Abdul gets the TJ Watt treatment most games. If refs are actually going to call holding, you can't stop him.
that dude is unbelievable at times. also, allar doesn't look anything like the qb that played oregon two weeks ago. pennst does have the defense to matchup with the winner of uga/domer. prolly a better offense than either, not that it's saying much. wouldn't surprise me at all if they make it to the finals to face the winner of the OSU/tenn/oregon/texas obstacle course bracket.

Lots of Tenn fans at the shoe. I can’t decide who to root for. I always enjoy an Ohio State loss but I don’t want them to fire Day. Plus the SEC hype machine is still in effect so it would be nice to see OSU dominate just to put a pin in that.

My best friend is a huge Vols fan. Go Bucks! He lives here in Ohio. He will be miserable. lol.

The OLs in the SEC must stink. Tennessee's DL dominated in the SEC and they are being pushed around by an Ohio State OL that had issues all year.

Kinda lousy the two best teams in the tournament will have to play in the second round.

The first round of the playoffs have been lousy.

Oregon is the most consistent team in the playoffs. Their floor is the highest. Ohio State and Georgia are the 2 teams with the highest ceilings. Both go through stretches of mediocre play, especially Georgia.

Ohio State better keep their head in this game though and not let Tenn creep back in.

Tenn did get aided by some big calls. They got a roughing call to negate an INT that was not a roughing. They got an INT in the endzone where I don;t think he had possession while his foot was touching the ground.

Tenn deserves credit for keeping their heads and playing hard. Tenn's QB is a good runner and has a strong arm but he's not a great passer. If it's a line drive throw, he can make it but he struggles with throws that require any kind of touch.

There was lots of complaints over which 12 should get in. If there's one thing this playoff proves, it's that there's no way it should expand to 16 teams.

No, Boise State and ASU got byes as top 4 seeds. That’s the flaw. Either cut it to 8 teams and be prepared to **** over conference champions, or make it 16 and have the true 5-12 seeds play compelling match-ups while the 1-4 seeds scrimmage the 13-16 seeds.

Ohio State is probably the one team you don't want getting hot right now. They beat Tennessee's ***. As a Steeler fan, I would kill to have one of Ohio State's top 3 receivers. Smith, Egbuka, and Tate are all playing on Sundays next year.

Egbuka is exactly the type of receiver the Steelers could use alongside Pickens next season.

Ohio State looked great tonight BUT at the end they had guys lighting cigars on the sideline. Great game but it was round 1 and they were acting like they won it all. Oregon has a good QB that doesn't get rattled. OSU played great because they were humbled by Michigan. They could be in for trouble if they go right back to the cocky team that thinks the game is in the bag.
