College Football Playoff Thread

OK refs....5 penalties in a row is a little extreme. Let's finish the game.

I'm confused. Your RBs are averaging 8-9 yards a carry and still end up throwing 25 times. At the end of the first quarter you're gashing them in the run game and still throw. I get the balance thing but when it's so lopsided why deviate?

That fiesta bowl trophy is incredible. Ought to be the actual national championship trophy

I am glad they won, but I will never understand the obsession with throwing the ball so much when you are running at will. If they just stick to the running game this isn’t close. Penn State is their own worst enemy with **** like this.

Players played a good game. Coaches tried to give it away. I understand trying to take some deep shots because Boise was crowding the line, but it was WHEN they took shots that made no sense.

Early in the game, they get the ball at like the 10 and instead of running it to get out of the shadow of the endzone, they do some trick throwback play to Warren. Then late in the game it's 3rd and 1 and they throw a pass instead of just running it and moving the chains.

The OC is too clever for his own good sometimes.

Jeanty was very impressive. The stats don't look great but he had to break a bunch of tackles just to get what he did. Those were NFL runs.

The Boise QB was good. He was under pressure and made some mistakes but he didn't lose his head like the SMU QB.

If Kaytron Allen was a little faster, he'd be a 1st round pick. He has tremendous vision, is shifty and can break tackles. He just doesn't have that extra gear

Allar missed a few throws but overall was strong. All 3 TD passes were dimes. The 2 to Warren were both big time throws into tight spaces. He's mobile, has arm strength, can throw with touch, makes good decisions. His only negative is he forgets his footwork sometimes and misses routine throws. That's an easy fix.

I know they want the RPO to be in the playbook but Drew isn't great at it. Just hand off or do play action passes, forget the RPO.

The long layoff for Boise may have been a factor early. Penn State did come out on fire but maybe Boise was a bit sluggish after 25 days off. Will be interesting to see how this plays out tomorrow. Oregon can't afford a sluggish start vs Ohio State.

Didn’t understand that set of downs, they went away from gashing their defense. Did it a couple times.
