What's perplexing to me is there's not a video of the incident anywhere that I can find. Things that make you go hmm.
Ebola (at least when West African outbreak occurred) only infected 11 Americans and killed 2 between 2014-2016 according to the CDC. That's not highly contagious.

The supply chain damage has already been done. Work in a construction materials industry and it's really taking it's toll. An electrician friend told me there's certain wire they widely use that's increased in price by like 800% and most distributors aren't even in stock or supplying it. Said a guy drove from CA to TX just to stock up because of the incredible cost difference and lack of supply. I know it isn't helping, but **** these POS who made this happen in the first place. There wouldn't be convoys if they had a modicum of decency & common sense.

The real fights will be at the borders, and will start to exert force in the western provinces, like we are seeing....inshallah...hopefully, the strength of resolve moves east to Ontario, where the border crossings at Windsor and Niagara/Buffalo control the flows of food and autos. This is the core of the Canadian economy.

The reason why ebola outbreaks dont spread faster is because the infected get sick and often die very quickly and the signs are obvious enough that as soon as it goes widespread everyone goes into full precautions… all those doctors are in contamination suits and high grade respiratory protection and are loaded with antivirals if contamination is even suspected.. few Americans have ever been exposed to it…

I hear you Mad, but if it's not airborne, I just don't think it's highly contagious. I understand the different ways of it infecting others and the mortality angle - I just hope to god this new hemorrhagic fever strain hasn't somehow been weaponized to be aerosol. I don't really even understand fully how it could be done so, so perhaps you can shed some light on it. That's a scary thought though.

I mean the thing is it probably always was aerosol airborne... we now know that the 5 micron limit for aerosols was old science and its more like 10 micron particles that can stay airborne for long periods of time.... a red blood cell is around 6-8 microns and red blood cells are found in the lungs of people suffering from these illnesses... they never disputed that Ebola was potentially large droplet airborne due to those same blood cells... its possible that its actually aerosol....
however by that time that they are showing those symptoms they are already far enough along that they are usually being quarantined or are at least being treated by protected individuals... they are obviously sick.... it could also explain why initial outbreaks areas have high contagion rates but as the outbreak goes on its more contained
the other thing is the CDC rarely seems to use Virus shed rate in its contagion factors.... I don't know what these viruses rates are... but we know that a lot of flus are around 1000 per minute while measles or chicken pox are in the millions.... hell there is a prevalent theory that Omicron has a higher shed rate than previous variants leading to much higher contagion rates... mutation to more shedding of viable viruses is something that can happen naturally... its completely possible that earlier hemorrhagic fevers were airborne but had such a small amount of virus load that it still wasn't that contagious.... maybe this new one has a bigger viral load and thus spreads easier....
