You mean the McCluster he didn't really use that much
I guess we shall see...
You mean the McCluster he didn't really use that much
Well, as a slot guy/3rd down back he'll surely see action. He's got all kinds of end around/reverse/pitchback trick play potential.
But when was the last time we returned punts and kickoffs with any kind of regularity. Special teams can win a game, just ask Nick Saban, he'll tell you all about it.
I like the pick, and if used properly, he could be the Steelers secret weapon.
So far, I'm digging this draft. We may have put two starters and one special teams star on the roster with 3 picks, all of which were at or below the 50 yard line of each round.
If he can run a 4.2 forty and average 9 ypc sign him up!
You'll be ok 'round here - nice optimism...
I know. I know. Heard all this before. Gamechanger. Home run hitter. Special teams demon. Instant offense. Been down this road before.
That 9 YPC average was in 2012, not 2013, which he struggled through with injury. Want to guess why he struggles with injuries?
I guess you also know he had the worst fumble percentage of all RBs in this draft. But sure, sell me on this guy.......and then remember the argument made, how many RBs under 180 pounds play in the NFL? Only 1, Dexter McCluster and he moved to the slot. If you want a WR, draft a WR.
Nice call on archer
we spent a ******* third on this guy
he's making the roster.

It wasn't a brain fart. It was a seriously calculated move. That's the problem. The kid's been clocked at 4:16. Returned three kickoffs for touchdowns and averaged 36.9 yards on 16 kickoff returns. Put up 20 reps. 4,980 all-purpose yards and 40 touchdowns (24 rushing, 12 receiving, four kickoff returns) in 21 starts. There's something there. I doubt that the pick was a brain fart.
Obviously the speed you can see but look at the feet and hands. Awesome pick!
