Draft Steals

Stroud did uncork this 65 yard bomb to a real draft steal

unfortunately the refs said 2 men were in motion and it didn't count

Wasn't too high on Addison...But I really liked Branch and LaPorta.

Cant complain how it all went down though.

Dell was clearly a steal but I think the Steelers hit home runs with all three of their premium.picks and honestly Herbig might be a starter someday. Kid flew in on that sack. Benton looks like a stud and all three are legit first year starters.

I think the Steelers had a hell of a draft and Yes Herbig likely steps up as a starter at some point

But I will say this. I was skeptical of Dell and they already Austin. I'd trade Austin for him in a heartbeat.

you should know nothing good comes out of Memphis

Austin is plenty fast but even from his college highlights you don't see the quick feet Dell has, quick out of his cuts and hardly any slowdown.

Maybe austin can watch some game film of Dell and see how small guys can play at this level

This is a weird list since a lot of these prospects went exactly where they were expected. Dell, Achane, Nacua, and Pace (wish the Steelers would've grabbed him late). Porter dropped and has definitely been a steal so far.

The Steelers draft class has been excellent this year.

Broderick Jones - Since entering the lineup as the starting right tackle, the Steelers have averaged 174 yards on the ground. He already looks like the best lineman on the field.

Joey Porter Jr. - Earned a bigger role as each week went by and is now shadowing the opponent's top receiver. He has 1 INT and 6 passes defended.

Keanu Benton - Not a big stat producer, Benton has already flashed the potential that he could be very good in a year or two. He dominates linemen and is surprisingly good in pursuit.

Darnell Washington - Although he only has 5 receptions, his blocking has helped the resurgent ground game. He was drafted for a particularly role and he's playing it pretty well.

Nick Herbig - He only gets a few snaps a game, but it helps to have him (along with Golden) stepping in for Watt and Highsmith. Herbig has 2 sacks in those limited snaps and has looked the part of a pass rusher.

those 7th round picks might add something to the team next year also!
overall a great draft. But I trade it all away for Dell. including next years 1st. and TJ

that might be a bit much

maybe switch it to next years 2nd instead of the first

that sounds fair

Dell went where he was expected but has outplayed almost all of the 1st round receivers
I sort of combined thoughts, but mainly was just thinking Stroud and Addison not being steals. I'm not sure I'd even call LaPorta a steal based on his draft position. The rest were good picks.

Yes Washington is not a dissapointment. With Muth's receiving back it looks a whole lot better. He is an extra tackle. They bitched hold on the TD but his feet were great. Maybe got away with some under hook but still....

Coach was pimping Dell pre draft right? gotta give credit when credit is due. he nailed this one.
I pimped Stroud for a while until I started to cool on him. But that is like pimping a Lamborghini. You would be yeah but that was expected to be a top shelf automobile that would be pricey to get. I originally pimped another T before switching to Broderick for his run blocking possibilities. Didn't think the Steelers would trade up though. I liked Addison. Was surprised JPJ fell. I don't think I nailed any Steelers picks this year, oh well always next year!

After seeing al of the rookies I think they did a solid job overall.
