We're all pathetic, lol. Hanging on every pick, hoping "our guy" falls to us, then being mad when the team doesn't take our guy. You are my people. I love the draft!
So, with what's left after two days, this is my shot at what we'll do on Day 3 and UDFAs, based on what I think will be availability and needs:
4(121)--Kamari Ramsey-S A future FS for us. Easy to find SS, harder to find these guys. Could learn for a year from our starting FS, the other Ramsey, then start in 2027.
5(161)--Dontay Corleone-NT Yes, I want a pure NT to stuff the run. Some medical concerns (blood clots), but Trey Smith of KC also had that concern, and he's become a really good OG. At this point, worth the risk.
7(224)--Jaden Dugger-ILB We need a future run-down thumper at ILB, and this is it. Allows us to send Harrison packing. If we need a stopgap while he develops on the PS, get Elandon Roberts back for a year. He is a fave of DC Patrick Graham.
7(230)--Lewis Bond-WR Sure handed slot WR who has produced with bad QB play, he can also be a KR/PR.
7(249)--Logan Fano--EDGE Good size, balanced play. Develop him a year and anticipate one of our top three EDGE guys to be gone next year.
Didn't get a TE, but the early and sustained run on them in the draft left the cupboards a bit bare. The positive is that with that many TEs taken a lot of vet TE3 types will soon be looking for a job, cheap.
UDFAs: C. Trayanum-RB, M. Bredeson-FB, C. Roberts-WR, M. Kitselman-TE, J. Cooper-OT (local boy), N. Rucci-OT (to room with Allar at camp), J. Gesky-OG, R. Eckley-P, C. Brevard-NT, J. van der Berg-DL, J. Kuwatch-ILB, E. O'Neill-EDGE, A. Smith-CB, L. McCutchin-CB, J. Stroman-S
I'm sure the rest of the draft will go exactly like this.
