Election Day 2020

I believe Biden will win MI, WI and PA on the strength of the elderly and women, winning him the election. I’m hoping we can keep control of the Senate.

The elderly here in FL break for Republicans.

What time did you vote? I'm in Michigan and there was literally nobody other than me when I went to vote. They said they had been busy earlier, but when I voted around 11:30am eastern that certainly wasn't the case,

We got in at 11am. I drove by in the 7 o'clock hour and the line was down the street. Figured to wait for the initial surge to die and to get in before the lunch crowd. Worked out pretty good because the line was backed to the street again when we were done.

A lot of Trumpers in front and behind us in line. Bucks County was pretty red in '16 and it looks promising once again.

Pretty solid turnout at my location in Yavapai County, Arizona. I live in the reddest of red districts. 24 Trump signs, 1 Biden sign. Guy in front of me open carrying, guy behind me open carrying.

Solid turnout here is a very, very good thing for one DJT.

Fitting ending to this nincompoop's campaign:

Me and the hubby went to our voting location at 6:30 this morning. Took about 30 min total to get through the line, get the ballot, complete it and scan it in the machine. When we walked out there wasn't that many people in line.

NC will be close. Wake, Durham, Guilford, Orange, Forsyth and Mecklenburg counties typically go blue. The rest of the state will have to turn out big for Trump.

I know, right. We do make a helluva sammich though.

The fact that you said sammich and have a good sense of humor makes me wish I could upvote your post x100.

The lunatic already deleted the tweet, but on the intertoobz it lasts forever, Keith:

Forsyth used to be a red county. Only started shifting in the last couple of election to toss up.
Orange County is Chapel Hill (UNC) so, yea, that is gonna go Blue. Asheville probably will too, but not sure about the entire county (Buncombe).
It will all come down to Appalachia and down east counties.

Yep, Forsyth started shifting blue because of Winston Salem. Orange and Durham are a given to be blue. I think Durham votes go about 75% Dem every time. Asheville will most definitely be blue, but not the rest of the county. There is some good food, breweries and shops in Asheville, but there is also a lot of weird *** mofo's around that town.

The Donald really brings out the inner ******** like Olbermann, DeNiro, Lemon and the like. I want DJT to win even worse than in '16. The screaming and tantrums will be EPIC! Even better than before because I will not hold back this time. Everyone will get a F U.

Asheville is definitely a unique place. But once you get outside the city, it gets very rural very fast as I am sure you know.
Agree on Durham as well. That will go Blue.

the fun is already begining btw: https://www.wral.com/voting-hours-extended-at-4-nc-polling-sites-delaying-release-of-election-results/19367730/

you and the hubby should buckle up - post election in NC could be a bit of a ride.

I'm about a hour away. It's a great place to get some good food and beer and people watch. Lot's of very different people there.

Very different people would be a good descriptor for Asheville. I still love the place, but I am disappointed at how much they have changed the Biltmore experience. Seems way more commercialized now then when I went in the early 2000s, and waaaayyy more crowded.

The fact people like Megyn Kelly, Glenn Greenwald and Tim Pool are saying these things tells you all you need to know about the reality of those authoritarian, socialist ***** possibly getting into power:

No, she isn’t. And guess what? It's not just us regular deplorables any longer.

Onefor, it won't be the women or the elderly.

It will be the "broken voting machines" and "kicked out Republican Observers".

Do we find out tonight and if so how late? I can’t recall 2016

We will be lucky to have a definitive answer by December. I know there are some states that do not have to have their certified results until December.

I hope - pray - that the issues are nothing more than the usual scuffling involving a few places, but the repeated instances of fat-*** (D)ims refusing entry to poll watchers is bothersome.

The company I work for has a facility in Asheville...ThermoFisher Scientific.

Went down there for training a few times. Ever been to 12 Bones Diner by the river? Old rickety place, food served in tin plates.

The best down home cookin' I had ever experienced!

So weirdest thing... both the republican messageboards and the Democratic ones are super geeked about early turnouts and both expect the election to be a complete success at every level for their side

Voted a straight red ticket this morning. Got there about 10 minutes early and waited for about 40 minutes to cast my ballot. By the time I left, the line had doubled in size. I've been voting at this particular polling place for 15 years and have never seen lines like that before.
